Un milione di grazie ti bastano ? Me lo hai fatto in italiano con la traduzione. Visto il mio scarso inglese mi dovevo applicare concentrandomi per capire le sfumature, ora sarà tutto più semplice. Grazie Kenny.
WOW! I been comping tracks for a while, and this i did not know LOL. Now I can comp my tracks and instead of deleting the takes i didnt want I can keep them just in case. This is good thank you so much.
Always right on time and point with the new videos. Just started a new batch of vocals on songs. I cut at home to get my vocals worked out before getting together with others. This will save me so much time. Thank you for all you do.
Great video Kenny!!. Wish you could make a video on how if I comp a lead vox and save on 1 track then use the rest of the unused take to create double tracks of say the vocals using the lanes feature.
Yeah okay this is going to make my life so much easiert. Thx Kenny. Btw, in case I have several tracks from the same source, say a Bass DI track and a Bass Amp track, or even a whole drumset with several mics, can I group the tracks in a way that the comp areas are the same across tracks?
Awesome...!...Question: What if I'm using multiple mics to record vocals. 2 close mics, and a stereo pair of room mics and I want to comp all 4 tracks at the same time...?...Grouping...?
Thanks Kenny very useful. I am not at my Reaper PC but can you do the comping as you did at the end and then record another lane and add that into the comping selection?
Great video as usual. I just have one thing that bothers me : on each video about takes or lanes comping, this is the same exact performance used on each take or lane. Using real different performances would make clearer the interest of comping in general.
Hi Kenny, I've made a change somehow that now I don't know how to bring back to how it was before. Basically, when I drag a drum midi groove into Reaper and try to replace a section that already has another groove, it adds to the existing groove, whereas before the new groove would replace the first. But now when I drag a replacment groove its making it an absolute mess. What's the setting I need to change so that when dragging in a new midi groove it replaces the first without combining the two?? Thanks
'comping' means compositing. i.e. you have 3 vocal takes on 3 different tracks, you like the 1st verse in track 1, 2nd verse in track 3 and 3rd verse in track 2. You then take what you like from all 3 tracks and put that on a new track (track 4) you've now composited a vocal track from 3 tracks into 1 finished track. You can do this with any vox or instrument. Cheers
yeah, the automatic translation youtube does is very annoying! but it's nice to think that it could make some videos more accesible to averyone... not these, because the reaper audio is kinda needed lol

Every time I enjoy every video from Kenny! Thank you very much!
Much appreciate it Kenny, you saved my day lol😎
Superb stuff, Kenny. You are an iconic tutor for everything Reaper.🌹

Thanks, Kenny! Coming from Pro Tools, the take lane workflow is something I missed tremendously. It’s great to see Reaper’s take on it.

Thanks Kenny - I'm so grateful for your tutorials.
Fuaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Que grande Kenny!! Español!!! Muchas gracias...
Oh this is going to save me a lot of time. Thank you for another great tutorial!
Good advice Kenny! Thank you!!!

yeah, nevermind, Kenny answered that already in ruclips.net/video/844Q6PXNJOE/видео.html :D
great. ❤❤❤
Kenny, en español no se escucha el audio del video (las tomas de voz por ejemplo) solo la narrativa
Yeah. I can't control that. RUclips is doing this automatically.
@@REAPERMania wow...
Awesome...!...Question: What if I'm using multiple mics to record vocals. 2 close mics, and a stereo pair of room mics and I want to comp all 4 tracks at the same time...?...Grouping...?
Yes. Grouping with "Media/Razor Edit" will group any comping.
@@REAPERMania Thanks Kenny...!!!
Very very interesting, but then I don't get why we would record different takes instead of going with different lanes as shown at 6:50 :)
Thanks Kenny very useful. I am not at my Reaper PC but can you do the comping as you did at the end and then record another lane and add that into the comping selection?
Yes
Grazie!
Dude I can hear in french now it's soooo cool. D E E P Merci
Do you know how to change reaper settings to use cpu instead of gpu for processing ?
Great video as usual.

Unfortunately, that requires a lot more work to show the same information. If you want to send me a bunch of vocals, I'll happily use them next time.
Is there a direct way to turn takes into lanes? I always have to first explode takes in tracks then re implode it into lanes

Awesome🪯
Tutorial in italiano?? 🤔 😉
È possibile cambiare la traccia audio nella propria lingua nelle impostazioni. Tuttavia, si sentirà una voce AI terribile.
the german translation is incorrect

@@REAPERMania Thank you Kenny ! ! ! I stay with the original version !! and Thank you soooo much for your Gooods Videos !
Doesn't really explain what comping is?

I'd generally prefer to hear the reaper sound and english spoken by a human. This computer generated german voice without the reaper sound sucks.
RUclips does the translation for me.

But it mutes the audio of the tracks, its nonsense @@REAPERMania
You can turn it off in the Video Options.
