Awesome.Such a great tip.The prices are really high for miniatures, so this is a fantastic way to save money. Most people would say they haven't the patience, and I'd say that's why they aren't miniturists..Gotta love the labour..ha ha .Thanks x
This is brilliant, especially for when you don't have any clay or resin handy. It's one of those "It's so simple, how did I never think of it before" ideas! I'm so glad you shared it, I'll have to try and remember where my tiny silicone molds are now to try it out. Now I'm thinking about it you could use spun cotton in the same way too. Such a versatile idea, Thank you!
Thank you!💕I've been doing some decoupage and thought I could try tissue paper in the molds and was surprised it actually worked! I like using resin and clay but can be expensive and time consuming. I thing your idea of using spun cotton is a great idea! I will have to try that too! 😊
I got some of these stamps at Jo-Ann's. There going out of business in my town. So I went a little overboard buying stuff. But I didn't have any idea what to do with them. So thank you very much for this idea.. have an amazing weekend!,🫶
At first I wondered why you didn’t just use polymer clay but actually- you were able to get way thinner pieces than you could with clay. That’s really good for minis. Like the frames people make with polymer clay look good but they’re always too thick for the scale. This opens up new possibilities
I tried this and it seems that it's ONLY good for thin pieces. I tried both thin and a bit thicker (picture frame) and the thick pieces were just *awful*! But the thin pieces I made are definitely usable and will be a lot nicer once they are painted.
Genius! Your attention to detail is incredible. I couldn't figure out what was happening when you started layering the craft paper on the molds, but it was perfect in the end. Wow!!!
Wowza! Never ever seen this done before. What a truly brilliant idea and one I will definitely be trying out. Thank you so much for sharing this brilliant hack x ❤
@@Sophia-c8c I use craft tissue paper. You can also use toilet paper. I found that the craft tissue paper worked better with the stamp molds. Toilet paper works well with the deep silicone molds as you can make pulp easily to fill the gaps 😊

Oh bloody hell! Now you've gone and done it! I have SOOOOOOO many ideas flying round my head now! 😂 Thank you for this incredibly easy, cheap, simple and yet SO EFFECTIVE idea! I can see me glueing these all over the place! 😁😁😁
Love the technique. Have tried using a glue gun before in silicon molds but the detail was nowhere as good as this. Also think the texture the multiple layers of paper adds is wonderful. Thank you for sharing. Another great video full of information.
I use hi temp glue gun in my molds that way I have time to knock out the air bubbles. They come out with all the detail when I do that. I do like the sturdiness of the tissue paper though.
Thank you very much Graeme💕😊This was an experiment to try to make it easier to add detail. I was so surprised that the one with the chase lounge enden up looking like carved wood. I will use that again in another miniature furniture I am currently working on.
Wow! I’m so glad you came up with this method‼️ Thanks for ALL you share❣️ I could watch you creat all day long 🤩 So clever & generous with your ideas😻 Happy creations💜
Thank you very much 💕 It does require a bit of patience when layering to try to avoid air bubbles. layering the first piece is most important on the stamp molds. The deep silicone molds just need paper pulp and they turn out great.
Wow!!!!! I just found your channel and you just got a new subscriber. I love your ingenuity. I have just one suggestion. Add the stamps to a stamp block, the the stamp won’t move the block gives you more support and a bigger area to hold if you need to. Also if your surface is anything like mine, then set the block on a piece of rubber matting that you can find at most dollar stores. The molds also work well on the matting. Can’t wait to see what you show us next.
Thank you and thank you so much for subscribing 💕😊 Great idea using a stamp block and rubber matting!! I have to do that next time. Would definitely make it a lot easier.
Amazing paper art work 👍🏼 I always have leftover tissue from art that i pack to store and i thank you for the idea of how to reuse it 😊 Have an art inspired day of Happy Crafting 🖌️
Thanks for sharing. I did it yesterday. It looks amazing. I had moulds I couldn't do with clay because they were breaking. This method worked amazing ❤
Beautiful work, how clever is that! Stunning, thank you so much for sharing your fabulous work, just found your channel, definitely subscribed and happy to follow your channel! ❤️🌹🌻
I made my own mold and thought this looked cool so I tried it. It was terrible for me I kept getting air bubbles under tissue so the end product looked bad. I ended up just going with different material. It worked good for you though and that is good.
Sorry to hear you got air bubbles and it didn't work. Not sure if it's the technique or paint brush used. Maybe thinner paper like toilet paper might work better? It did take me a while to dab all the layers not to get air bubbles. I worked from the middle outwards 💕
I’ve seen this done with toilet paper or paper towels and white glue. The toilet paper especially since it turns into a sort of pulp and is very easy to fill the molds.

They are meant to be used with ink pads and used to stamp the patterns💕
