Anakin met the Bad Batch in season 7. Will Darth Vader destroy them?
Personally, I like how they are going in circle. Narratively, this is EARLY Empire and to visually show how the Imperials were very good at burring secrets is a credit to their institution.
Imagine a microorganism that connects you to the zero-point field and allows you to tap into is infinite energy. That's basically how midichlorians and the force work. They're awesome!
The Juggernaut chase, various characters trying to board it and then the tank going off the cliff was giving me major "Last Crusade" vibes which I'm all in support of 🤠
Right? I had the exact same thought.
Or even Raiders when Indy is driving the truck and the Nazis jump on it.
Alot of star wars action scenes has driven off ideas from Indiana jones but also Disney films aswell.
yuuup, even the part where the trooper got squished between the side of the tank and the wall of the cliff, it was a nice reversal of that same thing almost happening to indy.
We named the dog @thedoctor4327
I loved wrecker calling it a “Turbo Tank” because that’s what the toys and playsets were always called. Kind of plays into his childlike mindset. Also felt badass seeing it in action, and it was nice to see how the clones were able to defeat the stormtroopers, because they were used to the tech, versus the stormies who pretty much commandeered it. Just another way of showing the clones were better soldiers
I don't mind the circular motion of story used in this season. It makes it more realistic. In real life, very rarely does point A directly lead to Point B. I don't believe they are doing it to rehash old ideas. Instead, they are showing finding Tantiss and rescuing Omega isn't just as easy as 1+1. There is realism involved.
I like your thinking
Personally, I’ve really liked the “rehashing” stuff the viewers already know.
Yeah, I know what an M-count is, I know why the Empire wants Omega, I know that it’s hard to clone force sensitivity, etc.
But the Bad Batch doesn’t know. It’d be kinda cheap for them to just find out all of that info on the sparknotes page of an Imperial terminal. Security concern aside, it just doesn’t make for quite as compelling a journey if the characters just come into it knowing everything or learning it all at once during some expository monologue.
So yeah, I’ll watch people learn about M-Counts over and over again, because it makes more sense than everyone and their astromech memorizing the entire page on the Holonet Wiki.
Also some kids watching this could be learning all this for the first time.
Yes and this show is still for kids. Kids need things explained more than once.
Agree, it’s just that there aren’t too many episodes in the season left. If they had more like Clone Wars, then it wouldn’t be a problem, because we would know there’s a lot more in the way
Yeah it’s a bit repetitive, kind of like plugging the merch store multiple times each video.
To be fair, pretty sure Hemlock explained what was special about Omega's blood in episode 3 and people keep see it as confirmation that she has a high m-count, just have to make it extremely clear for the people who keep mixing it up.
12:53 no no, it's not repetitive, it's just like poetry, it's so that they rhyme
hahah
Also, the beginning of the season we see Omega frees herself, now she willingly went back.
@@MrLee-cy1pw Yea it's awesome.
Honestly, them trying to find Omega for a couple episodes would feel repetitive to me, unless they made a little progress each time. Im actually glad that we got something different.
Best part is that hunter drifted a tank 🤣
Bro they're setting Wrecker up to die so much. I'm calling it right now that he's gonna have to stay behind and blow up Tantiss and he'll say the line "This is the happiest day of my life" and we'll all cry.
With arms wide open 🎶
No😢.
The ending I would have like to see is Omega takes the blunt of a battle, with heavy injuries like losing a limb or eye or something. And, Emery is the person to cause it by choosing ambition and the empire over the clones.
That way, Omega learns the heartbreak of loss in battle and the damage/ danger she constantly puts the crew. Emery betrayal teaches everyone might not want to be saved, and you risk losing the ones you love trying foolishly; like Tech.
So all that give her the new perspective to disappear and survive.
Rather than play hero, keep getting folks killed, or let the Empire win by using her to fulfill their plan.
😊
Now I'm bout to watch this episode and see the exact opposite unfolding. 😂
After watching X-Men97 s1e5 there's no way I'd be able to handle Wrecker dying tonight.
It’s Star Wars.. everyone dies.
@Ben-ci4bz Yet,
Somehow, Palpatine returned 😲.
Dr Karr's glasses are red - they represent how she is seeing the empire through "rose coloured spectacles". The only time she has taken them off to see clearly is when she revealed her identity as a clone to Omega at the end of Season 2. Also, is anyone else going to mention the fact that Crosshair didn't mention Rampart until now because he didn't want to go back to Tantis for clone prisoners, but now is willing to go back for Omega??
Edit: If Emerie is going to turn good, or help in some way, she has to ditch the glasses or lose them in some way as her connection to finally seeing things clearly.
That’s quite the reach to say she HAS to lose the glasses lol.
Tech lost his glasses by death, Emerie will lose her rose coloured glasses by choice when she rebels.
If Emerie joins the Bad Batch as their replacement medic and with Phee helping them and Batcher and Omega and the three young clones and maybe Echo in the group, the group will no longer be only the Bad Batch.
So one explanation for this being the last season of the Bad Batch may not be their deaths but the evolution of their group past being a batch.
This episode was fire 🔥
I feel like the whole going in circles thing makes way more sense than if they just found a guy that was put in prison and could easily tell anyone where the most secret project in the whole galaxy is taking place. That would be so stupid.
Yeah Ryan is really stretching here to find a criticism.
Didnt expect to see ram part again its kinda satisfying seeing him to be a labour workers.
Wrecker finally remembered a plan!!
Good for him
Boom!
Agreed, It definitely slowed down the pacing right when we are nearing the ultimate climax of the series.
Hopefully the run time for the final episodes allows for a proper resolution to the characters. Especially for Omega and Crosshair.
I was sort of expecting the beginning of a 4-part final "movie" à la Clone Wars. This was a disappointment.
@@olivierguinard3350I mean there’s still four episodes left
@@lukesmithreborn3023three
@@lukesmithreborn3023three
@@lukesmithreborn3023 only 3 :( This season has only 15 episodes instead of the usual 16.
I think the vault reveal is better this way. We spend an episode devoted to learning about it, so when Omega is taken in, we immediately understand the dire situation she's being introduced to. It's not supposition, like so much other stuff that we're neither shown nor told. (Somehow...)
It reduces the spinning-wheel speculation and drives home the seriousness of the situation.
I think another thing with Emerie's glasses is you can of course see the red hue to the edges. I think that is a "Roae tinted goggles/lenses" reference as she was seeing what the empire was doing as a positive thing, even though from an observers point of view she was clearly involved in some pretty horrific stuff like experimenting on clone prisoners, and the indentured labour of Nala Se.
So we not gonna talk about how crosshair is slowly getting his aim back
He did explain it... He literally said it's because he's overcoming his PTSD and it wasn't a degenerative condition.
I thought this was a great episode, and the ABSOLUTELY haven’t written off Echo. The Batch has already mentioned their plan to get help from Echo and Rex to free the clones on Tantiss a couple episodes ago, and I honestly think Echo will come with the cavalry when they’re in trouble on their rescue mission to save Omega. The episode was important and moved the plot well for a 22 minute segment of the story. They needed to find the location of the planet. It was a good callback to a character important to Crosshair’s series long plot, and I’m interested in how Tantiss is found if not with coordinates.
I'm of the opposite opinion, I enjoy this EP because the plot and was and to the point: an Imperial Prison break and it showcased the Bad Batch doing what they do best: A-Team style impossible special ops type missions done super competently showcasing their abilities at their best
Agreed! They needed a win this episode.
Without the fetch quests how do you expect the team to level up enough for the upcoming boss fight?
This is the problem with analyzing every little detail and plot point - you end up finding things to nitpick instead of just enjoying what I feel has been one of the best Star Wars stories ever made. It's so much fun and I've grown to love every single character. So much so that I know it's going to break me when it's finally over.
The best part of this episode is that it shows off Crosshair's progression through the entire show, by puting him up against his former boss. Bringing Rampart back was crutial for tying off that loose thread from season two. They shouldn't be able to find Wayland right away anyway. It was a good action episode.
@RYAN, About the rings in the mountain, if think about if from a radar or sonar perspective you will only see them from the horizon ON the planet where your already in the empires net. Anyone from space scans and sees a normal mountain top bc of the angles . They took this from WWII specifically MT Suribachi that intel and recon never picked up or were hurt after days of bombing. Also the swiss did this too but its not as famous. As you mentions SW loves western/samurai and wwii dogfighting stuff. They borrowed this theme too. If i get a shout out ill buy a shirt 😊
My two younger sons had no idea
about M count. We have not viewed it as circling around and wasting time. It is necessary context for good storytelling, especially for the younger generation and those newer to Star Wars.
I watch with my Lula plush every week. Never to old to have Lula around.
BRO SAME!
Why do Crosshair and Hemlock have the same trmoring hand injury/disability. That "Hopefully next rotation I see some action" moment reminded me of the clone Hevy.
When Phee mentioned Tech, that got me right in the feels and emotions an stuff.
I thought that was the same labor camp from The Mandalorian
Didn't Jyn Erso get rescued from one of those juggernauts on Wobani?
Yes
Yes, yes she did
Yeah, the Juggernaut, as well as the entire Imperial Labor Camp with its prisoners performing manual labor for the Empire, does remind me a bit of the Wobani scene in Rogue One, as well as the Narkina 5 prison arc in Andor, not to mention the planet being mined away has a hint of the flashbacks to Kenari, and also the Morak refinery in Mando Season 2.
Ryan, the essence of mysticism is just science that we can't explain. Midichlorians do NOT diminish their significance. They just offer another explanation for something that was vague.
The scene with the turbo tank generally felt like the Indiana Jones chase in the 3rd movie at times. Especially the Stormtrooper getting crushed reminded me of the side gun scene.
Love the breakdowns, loving this season but it seems like every episode you aren’t thrilled with are some of my favorite. Just enjoyable and fun and even humorous to watch. Refreshing. I have also thoroughly enjoyed the crosshair arc and while I’m sure there is more depth they could dive into, I am loving every bit of the action and animation this season is bringing.
Plus, the lessons told through the story are so wonderful for my young boys. Omega alone is such a model for how to be an amazing young man/woman. Ryan is forcing himself to find a criticism where none is needed.
I’m still full of dread for every member of the batch and they almost got me this episode
I ❤️ this episode!!
Bad Batch has a great entrances and exits especially when there is action involved!!
Great episode loved the turbo tanks! I just wish it was longer or we got two this week, i need more.
Honestly I just love the Turbo Tank part so much that I can't be mad about the plot running in circles.
The mechanical sounds playing when Rampart's in the mine are the same ones from the droid factory in Attack of the Clones!!!
I like the repeated story beats within the show and from other shows/movies. Chonologically, the Bad Batch is discovering some of these things before other characters in other shows. Just like Rogue One was a rediscovery of things we knew with a twist.
The Bad Batch is showing overt links between the prequels, all the tv shows, and the original trilogy. Some of them are more subtle - like the old items in the museum look like items in the antiques shop in "Andor".
Bearded Rampart is something I never thought I needed, but I'm glad we got it
This was actually my favorite "bridge gap" type episode of the entire season idk what you're talking about
I agree about moving the story forward and I had the same thought when Omega landed back in Tantiss but I also have 2 other thoughts:
1) her initial escape did move the Crosshair story line forward. What he learned from her has made her a better teammate. And we see that his tremor DOES appear to be psychological from what he experienced there
2) this was a really fun episode which was a welcome break from last week’s double episode drop, both of which were pretty heavy. The prison break sequence was really fun and I laughed aloud multiple times. In this case I was grateful for a pure fun episode
I love how all this is hitting beats from other series and movies because it brings it altogether for that segment of the audience who may not have seen everything and for those who do not spend their spare time watching RUclips videos highlighting Easter Eggs. My husband who hasn't watched The Clone Wars or Rebels and never watches recaps, was able to see similarities to Andor and The Mandolorian as well as the references to the OG films and Prequels. And when it got a little confusing as to why they were doing all this research, I just had to remind him of "Somehow Palpatine returned..." and he got it immediately.
anyone else think the art on this ep looked amazing
I think it’s easier to accept midichlorians if you think of them as the equivalent of force muscles. Everyone has some, some are born with a predisposition to be stronger than others, and if you train and exercise those muscles, they get stronger. But the emperor wants a shortcut to immortality, so he’s trying to develop force/midichlorian steroids so that when he makes a new body for himself, he doesn’t have to risk being weak in the force, for any amount of time, and bonus points if the new body is stronger than the old one.
On some level I feel like the circles these characters go through for story beats might thematically tie into how it would be to fight against the empire. 2 steps forward, 1 step back.
I didn't, even for a second, think Crosshair would still be afraid of returning to Tantiss after reuniting with his brothers. Loved to see his willingness to help still, even if he could've done it earlier.
They're overthinking that rebel pilot orange jumpsuit theory. The costumes were evoking real-life flight suits which are sometimes brightly colored to aid location and recovery if the craft goes down.
I think the repetition of themes is tied to how the Empire is this massive structure thats always ahead
I think it's still a good episode, just because it still moves the needle. It didn't move the needle as much as past episodes, but the story is progressing
I enjoyed this week's instalment, and whilst I can see where you're coming from.with your critiques of this season thus far, I respectfully disagree with your critiques.
Storywise it makes sense for the Bad Batch to not know what we the audience know without jumping through numerous hoops beforehand, as it would seriously diminish the credibility of the Empire if the Bad Batch were to find out this information cheaply or to straight up be told the information from an off screen character interaction.
I think it's commendably bold from Dave Filoni and his team to use dramatic irony as a storytelling device rather than use it for an in-universe plot twist like with Harry Potter, and whilst it's worked fairly well so far this season, there's only so much dramatic irony can be used to move a story along, so I hope that the next instalment will start work on the climax of this season and show as a whole.
As for Omega's sacrifice to turn herself in to save her community from immense turmoil, I honestly thought that it was quite noble and didn't undermine the high stakes of last week's sad and sombre instalment.
I'm so hyped for these next four episodes as I personally think that they'll be absolutely incredible, and make up for any critiques or nitpick I have with this season of the Bad Batch thus far.
I think this is the first episode where we hear Steven Blum voice a stormtrooper, which is fun because he is the voice of the storm troopers in rebels. It’s like a meta preview of the future.
I love the idea of midichlorians. Reminds me of biological nutrient cycling in the soils of our own planet.
I think the repetitive stories are just showing how inevitable the Empire’s pervasive domination is. The citizens keep doing the same things, over and over and over, because doing SOMEthing is better than doing NOthing. People don’t want to just roll over and die, they want their manifest destiny potential.
I like the small details like Hunter's helmet floating mid-air when Phee is pulling off that stealth approach/mad dive. (Pity they missed the opportunity to drop it on somebody's head.)
I like how they stunned those first 2 tk troopers then killed the rest in the episode 🤣
Juggernauts and LAATs are lovely
Episodes like this make me both extremely anxious, frustrated and kind of excited too. Let me explain; the increasing sense of repetition, futility and never getting the full answer they (the Bad Batch) need speaks, for me, to how the BB's ability to complete missions and, ultimately, be victorious over The Empire and save Omega/the Clones/the kids/themselves is dwindling. The sense of The Empire growing in power and its dreadful presence occupying every corner of the galaxy is palpable, so making positive acts against it increasingly impossible, makes sense especially as this series has unfolded. This is the cause of the anxiety and frustration I, and quite often, the BB themselves seem to feel. My "excitement" is that it's been quite a long time since The Empire has really felt like an awesome, overwhelming and unstoppable evil in the Star Wars universe. And, the way to really drive that home would be...for the BB to fail utterly. I wonder if Feloni is about to deliver us the Star Wars equivalent of Marvel's Infinity War? Remember, we still don't know what drove Rex to abandon his cause to save Clones and, instead, (very un Rex-like) decide to hide on a planet and fish for worms for the rest of his days (until he returns in Rebels anyway). If this season ends with the deaths of not just the BB, but most of Rex's crew as well as Omega never gaining her freedom and the remainder of the Tantis clone prisoners being experimented on to begin the evolution of Death Troopers? Then DAMN. That would hit harder than (IMO) any Star Wars we've seen so far. It would be absolutely horrific. And it would reestablish The Empire as an entity so evil it makes us sick to our stomachs to even think of it. It's a terrible, heartbreaking ending yes, but maybe , as downright grim as it would be, one Star Wars needs right now?
secret tunnel, trough the mountain - now i have the tune in my head till the end of the day
My biggest gripe with this episode was that it was the shortest episode of all three seasons, clocking in at 23 minutes minus credits.
Plus as Ryan said, a lot was repeated information that we the fans already knew
What did you think of the episode?
"Give us a real challenge"
It was good
🎨
felt short but glad it wasnt a filler episode
I love this show! Although I do agree that the Emory episode could've been put here, after this episode, where it shows her learning about the child prisoners, then end with omega showing up. But, I'm sure they had their reasons for showing it sooner. I just love this story, I love everything about these clone wars animation style shows, I hope they continue making them, no matter who the stories are about. I'll watch it!
The whole Star Wars saga is told out of order (even starting with. Episode 4), so of course we’ll see similar stories (or part of), and we’ll see characters see things we may have seen previously. Not really sure what’s wrong with that. We might know, but some of the characters don’t, so it makes sense to see them learning something that we were made aware of weeks, months or even decades ago
Thank you for making Bad Batch breakdowns! It's my favorite show and this gives me something to watch after the episode airs
The music is getting better and better as this series progresses
midi-chlorians seem like the powerhouse of the cell. haven't heard it anyone else say it but that's what I think Lucas took inspiration from, mitochondria, which are also living organisms living in each of our cells.
You look like a younger Izzy Maldelbaum dude...exactly the same headband he wore in that Seinfeld episode lol.
Thanks to Ryan, Randolf, Lee and Ashley! 🧪
I get the circling stories thing, but sometimes you just got to enjoy the ride.
It was amazing like the whole series and ur breakdowns
Your video actually summed up really well why this was a weaker episode for me (I actually found myself doing a few other things during it) - nothing in it was bad, just narratively it wasn't as tight and felt a bit repetitive in terms of information we already know, plot beats we've already hit, etc.
However I do love midichlorians so we differ on that. A lot of my background is in microbiology and I think the combination of science+mysticism is always really cool. But I think you hit the nail on the head in regards to the way the Empire vs the Jedi approach it.
Imagine a microorganism that connects you to the zero-point field and allows you to tap into is infinite energy. That's basically how midichlorians and the force work. They're awesome!
Well the civilian hangar technicians at the Jedi temple wore orange as well.. pretty sure
I’ll stand up for the kids and say that resetting story arcs is good for them. Not saying that Bad Batch is a kids’ show, but-more than Andor, say-it should be accessible to kids. I’ll accept repetitive story beats for that reason alone.
Ryan, I really get frustrations about this episode, but something about this running around in circles caught me a different way, and in the spirit of every comedic exposition segment in anime, "Allow Me to explain..."
So, as you pointed out, we're getting a very infuriating runaround of things and reveals that we the audience have already seen. But what if there's a deeper meaning to all of this? What if we're supposed to b on this runaround finding out things we already know? Why would this get done?? What if it's because its MEANT to frustrate us into missing something in the back ground, hiding in plain sight. What's the point of a wild goose chase? to throw you off your game and make you miss something deliberately because you're distracted by something else. Misdirection is one of the most underrated plot twists in media, as when it is used to perfection, it'll have the audience's mind blown because they never saw it coming. I think that the last few episodes of this season are doing just that, they're making us distracted from something right in front of us.
I haven't figured it out yet, but when it happens, it's going to make us all go, "Oh frak!! How did I Miss THAT?!?"
Really good points at the end about the story structure.
No one will talk about how Rampart got tossed around from Juggernaut to ship 😂 I thought it was really funny.
Honestly I love this season, it may be repetitive but it’s just so so good. Loving how this season is more serious and lots of characters are getting developed.
Thanks Ryan!
That's the thing. It IS a mystical field around everything and it's way to interact and ONLY COMMUNICATE its will, is through mediclorians. Mediclorians don't force push someone, they only talk. Like in real life! Some of our basic human interaction are guided by organic fonctions. Like attraction to someone else, instinct toward a danger... addiction. So this hate of mediclorian is pretty close minded, if you ask me.
Loved it!! Nothing boring about it to me!!
A lot of Star Wars stories are an homage to other stories (Hidden Fortress, Seven Samurai, Battle of Britain, Seven Samurai *again*, THX 1138, American Graffiti, etc.) This one borrows a bit from Sorcerer (1977 William Friedkin film) and a lot from Solo and that Mandalorian episode where he takes his helmet off. "Sorcerer" was the name on the truck carrying explosives on narrow mountain roads in the movie; Juggernaut is the type of vehicle the Batch drove around on narrow mountain roads, to less anxious effect.
Wow your fast and yea the episode was good I enjoyed the action but yes need it to be longer
0:53 juggernaut is also the name for a high-power soldier who often strong. is heavily armored, and will carry an infantry support machine gun or massive canon (so Wrecker). So the name was also a red herring that Wrecker would be centric to the plot and possibly die…
The prisoner dude looks like Benedict Cumberbatch 😂
My initial thought on the title after they said they were hijaking a turbo tank was that the episode was named after the vehicle since in universe it’s known as the HAVw A6 Juggernaut.
and the last time we saw a Juggernaut as a prisoner transport like that was in Rogue One, when Jyn Erso was in, and there were parts that mirrored the tank chase and scene in the Last Crusade
12:40 after watching episode 13, lenin back in russia really matches omega's situation here
I really like that Ryan is starting to provide mini reviews of the episodes and I completely agree. The show is good but it’s suffering from so many fetch quests when all we want is for the story to move forward. Fetch quests were one of many of the big problems of Rise of Skywalker and it’s disappointing for them to rely on them as filler once again
I always took it like this
The midichlorians aren't the force. They aren't present, therefore the force is, it's opposite. Where the force is, midichlorians want to be. They are microscopic living things so they would be drawn to live in the blood of someone force sensitive. They can't measure the actual force or someone's aptitude for it, but the more capable you are and the more will of the force present in a person, the more midichlorians would want to flock to them. The jedi represent life and nature so it made sense to me that living things would want to live within them.
TL:DR You can't measure the force, but the stronger someone is the more microscopic organisms are naturally drawn to them, and those can be measured.
Fun fact: midichlorians were in the original treatment for Star Wars and George Lucas intended on including them, but instead opted to wait until the prequels released. I'm not sure if there's a concrete answer as to why he didn't include them from the outset, but they were always intended to be part of the story.
honestly, I disagree. I loved this episode and this was a good way to bring the focus back to destroying tantis and liberating the clones.
I liked the episode and didn't like listening to someone whine for 4 minutes about it. If someone is watching a 10 minute breakdown of an episode, most likely they liked it. If I wanted to listen to someone bash an episode, I'd go to one of those type videos cuz there are plenty of them which admittedly I never do cuz I do not like negativity in general. Keep it focused on the breakdown, you do well in that.
My only question about this episode was why didn't they have Phee pick them up when they let the prisoners escape the juggernaut
Facts! stretching it along
It felt short. The whole episode just felt short. Not just not long but kinda shy or lacking something. 😢 Still a great job moving the storyline but with words like "episode 12" and "season coming to an end" or finale season. It felt short.😢😢
When u were talking about dr karrs goggles and how she sees the world , I’m surprised u didn’t mention how she took them off to introduce herself to omega in the season 2 finale
This entire show could’ve easily been like 20 episodes but I still enjoy it.
I love everything Bad Batch and I believe there will be a spin off coming
Screencrush is the channel that's always only 1 inch away from being one of the best RUclips channels, but they always add something in each episode to piss you off. I wish this xhannel would go back to the way it used to be.
Perhaps it's a bit repetitive. But repetition is by no means boring if it is done well, and it isn't a bad story telling tool when the goal is create something cyclical, or draw something back around, which they're clearly doing here. So I have zero issue with where this and the last episode ended up.
And I also think that all this leadup to the reveal of project Necromancer won't entirely be what we think it is. It'll probably involve Sidious' resurrection, yes... but I think there's a bigger grand plan tying in with things we do not yet know. Having an entire series building up to a reveal we already know (and two other series heavy feature this leadup) is, at this point, illogical.
Sure, we know what an M-Count is. Sure, we know Sidious was trying to clone himself. But I think there's more to it. And I'm willing to bet it might have something to do with Plagueis' grand plan, which, perhaps, Sidious might eventually have realized there was some merit to.
The colour reversal on the prison uniforms could also be the type of work they are doing.
Orange with white for 'dirty' labour and white with orange (like Andor) for clean/sterile labour?
Having rescues and infiltrations that work the exact same way against the Empire every time does get a little old to the viewer but also shows the beauracracy that impedes natural changes and development of troopers and their practices on the ground. We see similar, one time failures in shows like M*A*S*H and Black Sheep Squadron where someone with rank and authority comes in giving commands by the book that was outdated on the ground months before.
My theory to how they're going to go back to Tantis, is that hire a high class Bounty Hunter pretending to have another package for the doctor.
Get at the meeting point and hijacke the ship with Emery on it.
Ans thats when she'll change side!
