Vauxhall Opel Corsa D - Hidden Personal Options - Turn Off 3 Flashes etc -

- This system is used from mid 2007 onwards and works for all Corsa D models.
Although this is listed in the owner's handbook most people don't know about it.
Put the ignition key in but don't turn it.
Pull both stalks towards you until you hear a beep... (3 seconds)
Use indicator stalk up and down to select P1, P2 etc, then the wiper stalk up or down to change status or input a value.
P1 - Welcome lights, on/off : Turns on your headlights when you unlock.
P2 - Auto Rear wiper (comes on when reverse is selected with main wipers active)
P3 - Touch control for indicators, on/off - 3 flashes for lane change
P4 - Automatic door & tailgate locking, on/off - above approx 10mph
P5 - Separate driver door unlocking, on/off - One click opens all doors & boot (off)
P6 - Speed limiter warning, on/off : You'll find it very annoying...
P7 - Warning tones volume, 1-5 :Volume of the indicator ticking sound
Pull both stalks back until you hear a beep to store your settings.
Note - After 10 seconds with no input it will revert to the previous settings so don't take too long choosing.
This stores the settings for the key you are using, so you'll need to repeat for each key.
Also any radio stations stored will only show with the key that was in use at the time.
AFL (adaptive forward lighting)
If you have AFL you can make your headlights aim lower for driving on the other side (when abroad).
With the ignition switched off hold the main beam stalk towards you and switch on the ignition. After a few seconds you'll hear a tone and the headlight aim will move down.
To return to normal mode repeat the process...

Lol I quite like the 2 clicks I watched this video for exactly that as let someone drive my car and they changed it 😡🤬 good to know I can change a few other modes aswel tho
P1 = Lights come on when car is unlocked
P2 = Automatic rear wiper when reverse gear is selected
P3 = Three flash indicator
P4 = Automatic door locking when moving above 10mph
P5 = Unlocks driver door when unlock button is pressed once, once pressed again unlocks the other doors
P6 = Speed limiter warning
P7 = Indicator volume
I spent ages looking for this sorta thing and could not find jack shit anywhere. I wanted auto locking and the welcome lights and this really helped. You sir have earned my like

Ive recently just bought a 58 plate corsa sxi and worked a treat no more double press for all doors to open welcome lights on when unlocking and auto lock on brilliant video thanks again 👍🏼
I had a corsa D 1.2 that had the lights turn on when unlocking and I loved the feature along with the auto lock doors. Upgraded to a black edition and lost those features but now know after searching everywhere. Thanks!
I went to the chippy one night, pressing the key over, over then found out it was someone else's corsa put my headlights on now, thank you. 😉

We don't have the Vauxhall line of automobiles here on the states, but I've heard many good things about these cars. I have family in the UK & the European market for cars is so different than our car market here. I love all those small European motors..so many to chose from..always wanted a classic Mini.

it worked on my sister's Opel Corsa from 2008 and I was able to set the auto key guard but it took time to save it, thanks for the video

I think they only started using this system in 2008, if your headlights flash then you don't have this system and you can't change any settings. I had the same problem with the indicator sound and I was able to fix it by disconnecting the battery for a few seconds. This reset the system and the sound started working again. But it was nice not having the ticking sound when waiting at junctions :-)

Need some help. In my Corsa D 2014 all the options worked as rear wiper or flash indicators but the welcome lights didnt. Its necessary to have auto light feature??? How can i do it work?

Confirmed. Worked on 2006 Corsa D, manufactured October 2006. However I activated the Welcome Lights and they seem not to work. Maybe I need to wait till the sunset as the Light sensor should power up the lights in the dark. Will see later.

When i turn on my car on a cold engine the RPM stays at 10 then it goes down to normal 6,7 RPM after few seconds
It wasn't like that before and this started to happen after last service changing ignitions coils and spark plugs
I have seen many videos of corsa start up, some of them go down from 10RPM as soon as engine starts, some of them stay at 10RPM and it goes down after few seconds
Does anyone knows why?
Could this be a vacuum leak?

when you half press the indicator, it only flashes 3 times when the setting is on with the setting off, a half press will do the same as a full press
Sorry I don't have any experience with an Insignia and I often find Opel technicians don't really know about these options and are only good using tech2.

In my corsa sensor in safetybelt buckle is worn and car often turns on warning sound, which is very distracting! I've found out that when blue-yellow connector under the drivers seat is unpluged, there is no anoying sound and even the seatbelt dashboard light doesn't turn on anymore. But I was wondering if Airbag system still functions properly?
that's a good question, I would like to think the air bag would still work but I think even a Vauxhall technician would struggle to find the answer without lots of research ☺️

yes it should work Ok, did you know you can open and close the windows using the key? Just hold down unlock to open and lock to close
Will this work on a 12 plate Corsa Active? I tried pulling both sticks back but that just flashes my head lights on and squirts my windscreen then wipers come on... Help.

Hi there, can anyone tell me why i can't turn off my spanner light on a vauxhall corsa 2010 1.3 diesel, the service as been done, i tried to reset the light, but it would go out, so i've put it on a diagnostics machine, it's telling me there are no faults with the car, car starts and drives fine. Does anybody know on a corsa Eco Flex how to program a radio Chanel to one of the buttons?
My Corsa doesn’t display P5 anymore, and my physical key only unlocks the driver’s door, as if I don’t have electromagnetic locks. If I use the key button, all doors get unlocked. This means, if I’m on vacations and my key battery runs out, I won’t be able to lock all my doors, just the driver’s!
It's simple
You lock the driver's door
Then you go to the right side open the door and press the button for locking all the doors
You close the right door and the car is locked

Well, i think i know it. I have corsa c 1.2 too, 2005/12. You need to switch anything in settings. i will write useful answer tomorrow.
Most of these modules on vauxhalls have to be programmed via Tech 2 or GM MDI Diagnostic Tool's

There's no easy way, it might be possible to modify the wiring but as its firmware controlled it might be possible to have modified firmware. I know the newer cars with day running lights can be turned off using tech 2..

no its doesn't, i can change it in the ecu. but a quick tip for vectra users, if u want the double unlocking away press the lock button on ure key and the door at the same time till u hear a beep that gets rid of the double press unlock and do the same except unlock on ure key for self locking doors which unlock wen u take the key out.

I have CD500Navi system, electric seats. Nobody in any Opel service do not know how to do that. Moreover from time to time it works, but no always, I can say that rarly, but works when internal setins are switch on ... my feeling is that when car was turn of, later system in not able to remember the latest setins. Please help meee

Who knows how to get deactivate the dome light of a Corsa from automatically turning on when you open the door and goes off after a delay?
I have a weird issue with my Zafira B OPC (VXR?), if i use my reserve key... The sound system only plays bass, could this have anything with the personal settings things to do ? Cause when i use my main key everything works normal. Ever had any issues with that ? or got any good tips ?
