There is a roller version of the mini b, which is even more suited for racing with its upgrade parts, check it out and fit the brushless combo in it! Awesome little racer, got one myself.
Kev! To help your roll center on the Mini-B use washers under the ball cups. Really helps for the rear on carpet. The front depends on your driving style.
I absolutely love the Mini B, it was my first rc car after a 10 year hiatus. Thing can take a beating and parts are easy to find plus there are plenty of hop-ups! You should do the Losi Mini T 2.0 brushless next!
Kev, you can adjust the ride height on the Evolution with set screws through the lower control arms which coincide with the metal tabs on the chassis. In the States it's sold as W/L toys 140010.
The brushless version of the Losi Mini-B is a monster, It will burn through tires, and the handling is insane, it gets even better when you set it up properly, truly one of my favorite rc cars to drive.
One trick you can use to lower that buggy is to put some small rc fuel hose around the shaft underneath the dampening discs. They will keep the suspension from fully extending and allow a lower ride height. I learned that from a local hobby shop that recently closed down near me. I had been going there since I was a kid before I could afford to buy my own rc car. The older pan car racers used this trick to lower their cars.
Best micro car I've ever used was the Losi 1/24 scale micro SCT, brushless upgrade made it ridiculously fun. The Associated RC18MT was a really good one too. unfortunately both have been discontinued for quite a long time.
Nice track run for the mini's. The mini b is not very durable so with brushless expect to break parts.( lc racing bhc is much more impressive around a track and durable) Wltoys needs a 17t pinion 2838 4500kv+ with a 65mm smaller tire and droop set to make it trackable Ec30b needs a new esc 18t pinion with 4500kv+ remove collar and cut springs. Of just these 3..... the eachine ec30b (made byHaiboxing) set up correct is a winner 🏆
don't really understand driving these off counters and the truck to start testing it, but to each his own. i have a fully modified mini t, well modified to with all the good modification, nothing blingy. Running the spektrum brushless 2-in-1 combo. takes time to get used few mins to get used to the extra power on the track and not running it too fast. using a spektrum dx5c with too. The rpm arms are one of the best upgrades.
@@KevinTalbotTV honestly thing is, it's due to me racing and I'm sure you know how much money it takes to keep up in racing. got more tires than a tire shop. it's all for fun though. always need to keep that in my mind.
The losi mini B comes factory only using about 75% throttle , there is a procedure with the remote you do and can get full 100% throttle . The little buggy really rips turned up , for a brushed setup that is .
Great video, Kev! I highly recommend putting a Castle 0808 motor and matching micro X ESC in your Mini-B. Turns it into an excellent little speed car especially if you use a gyro enabled receiver. Those cars are totally gutless with the brushed system in it unfortunately.
Trick for the throttle delay on wltoys 144010 (evolution car) is to turn the controller on with the throttle in a bit then turn on the car release the throttle once the ESC stops beeping usually works after one sometimes two attempts the other option is to use an old wltoys receiver from the old 14401 car hope this helps people who can't switch parts ;)
I just changed the stock controller for my Absima CR3P and it's totally fine now and has no delay in the throttle anymore. Also it's much nicer to adjust steering and so on...
Instead of a spool we need a full case locker for 1/10 scale crawlers specifically designed after Detroit locker why because when you back off the throttle, the Detroit becomes unlocked…
You can't ignore it because of its small size. It's a mini buggy that's considerably faster than I thought. Of course, I did a little tuning. I wish I could have seen him run off-road.😁😁👍👍
I have had my eye on the Carisma GT24B for some time now. Wanted to turn a Mini-Z buggy into a tiny stadium truck but learned they are not sealed and vulnerable to dust. Carisma is at the top of my list for my "Mod a tiny car and make it stupidly fast" project. Since I pretty much destroyed my Blomiky 1/43
Seems to me these little micro rc buggies/truggies are at least 10x the fun of any of the monster huge rc cars. Especially anything nitro. You switch them on, hit the go button and fun happens, a lot, and for hardly any money at all relatively. Plus, they seem to keep on running for a long time, with only nominal breakages. Can we have some more please, this is serious fun, at a price we can afford, all day long.
It's a golden age of small, durable, cheap and fast RC. You can really have a blast for very little. I've been buying everyone I know their own buggy for the last couple years for their birthday or Christmas.
Im working on a Losi Mini B for speed running. Current PB is 62mph on 3s. Not huge numbers yet, but impressive for its size. It really is a race chassis, not necessarily a skatepark basher, though I've had my Mini T going pretty hard at the park..
the losi is by far the best, i have 3 of them. all amazing, all with no problems, I have one that goes 80mph/ 128kph. One that I race, it has the losi mini-b/mini-t brushless conversion, all you need is a receiver and the motor, the motor is a esc/motor. They handle amaxing and are perfect for racing and prefect for kids when there brushed.
Please try the brushless next. Had one myself. You will trip out. The esc is in the motor... Funest little car. Plus lots of upgrades. Would love to see you build one up
My favorite mini rc is my Hobby King Turnigy nitro buggy with a .07 engine some mods including a 2 speed gearbox. It's not a basher but it fun in a car park or bmx track and sounds great and fast but never done a GPS speed test but bears my 1/8th buggy.
Converted my mini b to brushless. Also changed it to pro roller as we cannot get them in the UK. Handy bit of kit if you haven't got the space for 10th scale practice. Gives me my mid week fix 😂.
I recommend try the Losi Mini B Pro Roller and chuck some mini brushless electronics in that Kev. It comes with some upgrades over the standard mini B and you need to get seperate electrics to put in it anyway
Going off what I've experienced with delays like that it's not the radio but the ESC. I had a hyper go brushless with a separate receiver. It had the same delay even after changing to a spektrum receiver. I threw in a HW 10BL30 with the stock receiver and no delay.
On the orange buggy it’s exactly like the wltoys so you can actually get it much lower by installing some droop Screws (there’s already holes for them)
Mini-b! I run a castle 0808 motor (8200kv) in mine and I've had that rocket to 71mph super easy on 3s.. it tends to blow over and not want to go faster just due to stability. You need to go to 48p gears so you have gear options and get the adjustable motor mount.
I can’t wait for the 1:24/8 scale video!! Would be awesome if you got a brushless Kyosho MB-010 buggy as well! If you want to get extra wild you can get hop ups for the Kyosho from Hot Racing! And you can do a wicked chassis swap from BossRC!! Super stoked!!
The algorithm brought me to this channel a couple months ago. Bought a banggood special, and now my 3 year old son walks around saying things like “ON LoCATION” and “give it a proper rip!”
Spektrum makes a 6000kv 2in1 esc motor combo. Also losi makes 15 optional upgrades with several other companies making similar upgrades.. Mip makes components for a better transmission.
Furitek just came out with a Sensored Brushless motor and ESC for the mini-b. Should pre-order that and see how it does racing. The current brushless setups for the mini-b makes them little rockets.
144010 WLtoys is a beast. China knows how to do small cars 💯 Great first RC car for your kids. Extremely fast. Throw the new 15t pinion in it and it is a wheelie machine

Came here to say this. I was unimpressed by my lossi mini until I turned up the speed.
The brushless mini t 2.0 is awesome! Kev should throw that one up to compare. Too bad Losi doesn’t make a brushless mini b
My mini B roller
Has brushless combo and 19t pinion . Can do well over 30 mph
