i am shopping around and the shocks+coils would be around 900, tires around 950, rims around 900, and control arms maybe 600. that is without labor which I am assuming would be around 400-500
i paid around 1000 for the old man emu shocks and springs through toytech shipped. just talk to them, they are aresome about specifics, and even gave me a code to save me about $300. then i got my 33" KO2s from discount tire, about 1200. they rotate them every 5000miles and will repair anything they need to for free after that.
Nice Music video! I prefer vids that actually give details and list exact parts. If you listed parts people would click thru and buy and you could receive some pennys!!
Captain Tom R Came to this video for advice on parts because I wanted to do a similar lift on my 4runner and had no idea where to start, only to watch a music video! I too, was frustrated. All their videos are like this. I think they’re trying to show off what their trucks look like after coming out of the shop but they don’t realize that these videos offer zero advice on parts or maintenance and thus don’t attract customers to their shop!
Looks just like my 4th gen minus the rear spoiler, i'ma hit up this shop soon for the additional springs and upper control arms, i already got 5100's on my 4Runner. ❤
I have the same 4runner with the same Bilstein shocks and struts. Which OME coil springs did you use for front and back and what notch did you set the front struts at? Looking to do the same with my 4runner and same tires. Thank you
Body mount chop isn’t required. The OP should have gone in depth on their install to show you. You have to remove the front mudflats and trim the front inner fender well to be pulled forward. Google 4th gen 285 fitment and there’s a really nice write up on it.
How did you deal with the tacked on washer on the bottom of the rear upper shock mount? With bilstein bushings it's impossible to compress enough by hand to start the top nut.
On the Gen 4, what height setting did you use for the shocks? If someone wanted to level the front but keep the rear stock. Where would you set your front rings on the struts?
@88rotors Did the scrub radius change with the wheels you put on? If so, is that okay? I have been really wondeirng about changing scrub radius with upgrading 4runners. I have a 2008 I have wanted to get a lift and tires for. Came across conflicting views on changing scrub radius. Please clear that up for me. Great work btw.
Hi, I have a 4runner 2008 4th generation, I bought it a 2.5 inch suspension, but I want it to look level front and back, since it is lower in the factory, my question is the following, how much more should I raise it at the front so that it looks the same as back? I hope you can help me, thank you very much !!!
They want us to “smash those buttons, but they don’t actually show the work being done and don’t reply to YT comments. I think I’ll stick to my mechanic.
Depends on what you want to do. I lifted mine with similar parts (different rear springs but 5100s all round) and have zero need for spacers and no issues with stock 17" rims. Bigger tires will need bigger offset rims to prevent scrubbijg against upper control arms
Johnny Boy this weekend I’m actually going to be installing a 3” rough country lift kit on Method 306’s wrapped with FALKEN Wildpeaks 285/70/17. I was told no trimming or other modifications to the fenders would have to be done to clear but we will see.
Around $1500-1700 on parts depending on which upper control arms you pick. Labor will set you back probably another $1500-2000 depending on shop rates.
Could you please explain to me what these OME coils are? I thought ome means stock. I don’t understand how you get a lift with stock coils. Sorry im pretty new to the Off road world.
OME lift springs - get whatever weight fits your vehicle / you’re gonna need shocks if you get the springs because the stock ones aren’t long enough and you will need upper control arms to correct alignment
I have a same 4runner but I want to go with a 3" lift kit instead of a 2.5 lift or what's is your best suggestion ? 2.5 lift or 3" lift.. Great work by the way !!!

88ROTORS how much was the cost of those shocks for the back and front price??
I like how it's a pit crew working on the same truck. I have the 4th generation in the same color and now I'm jealous of the new setup
So cool how you don't actually show any of the work!!
💯
I have a 2005 4runner. Would you mind shooting me the exact parts list you used on your 4th gen build? That's the exact look I'm looking for!
Came out pretty nice love the wheels
How much was the total cost with lifts and wheel and tires on tge 4th gen?

Removing suspension parts on a SoCal car: zhooop, zhooop, done. On a northeast or upper midwest car: grind, grind, snap, torch....
What ome springs did you use for the front and back? Also what notch are you on 0-3?
5th gen looks good with the lift would of liked to see it with the bigger tires
How many inches this kit lift the silver 4runner?

how much does it cost all in?
Yes how much?
@@superipodmanvik ya, how much, i wanna do my 4runner too.
Looks AMAZING!!
How many inches was that??

Thank you
how much was it to instull these? I mean the labour cost?
What exactly did you trim on the 4th gen in the front to give clearance to those tires? You didn’t explain it very much
Body mount chop

Is the offset on the wheels to prevent rubbing of the tires in the wheel wells?
Did you guys use the 885s for the front?
Great job guys love the suspension, rims and tires, I got 2012 SR5 and put some Fuel rims on it too, looks great...👍
Can you name the OME spring part numbet that you used on 4th gen 4runner and also the Upper Arm Control? Thanks
Can you guys attach a link to the exact parts you installed onto the 4th gen, I have a 03 and want to do this to mine!
88rotors
What model OME springs were used? I know there are different models for different weight ratings
Perfect question!
I'd like to know what they used also and what setting on the preloads.
great job! do you have a shop on the east coast?
88ROTORS what setting is the spc upper control arm ball joint at?
What lift setting are the front 5100's on with this silver 4gen?
How did you deal with the tacked on washer on the bottom of the rear upper shock mount? With bilstein bushings it's impossible to compress enough by hand to start the top nut.
What’s that setup cost for the 4Runner , need that in my 4Runner life!
Looks amazing. Great work!
How much was the total for the 4th gen??
Did the silver 4th gen 4runner need a body mount chop
How many inches was the bilstein lift on the 4th gen
I got a 4th Gen 4runner. How much I gonna spend for suspension lift (3") thanks
do i have to use ball joint,or can i use regular spc
that looks really nice.
Was there any rubbing with the 285/70R17 tires and a lift? Would you recommend any trimming?
Shouldn't you upgrade the breaking sistem? Because of all the added weight.
not much added weight, probably an additional 20 lbs per tire, which is like having a toddler in the backseat
Did you install diff. Lowering Blocks to front axel.
Diff drop? Not needed on this setup
The 4th gen looked like a rwd.
I'm looking to upgrade... I've been told the 5100's offer the smoothest ride. Would you agree or recommend something different?
I have 5100’s and OME springs on my 08 and they ride great.
You guys ever think of being a small sema build it something like that?? Or a “shop truck”??
How much does this up grade cost?
like 3200 without labor
What size tires are on that 4th gen 4Runner? And what was the lift. Love your channel
What tire size do you have? 285 / 70r17? someone tell me please??
On the Gen 4, what height setting did you use for the shocks? If someone wanted to level the front but keep the rear stock. Where would you set your front rings on the struts?
95 percent sure he used the top setting for the most height
Why two different shocks in front and back?
How much for the silver 4runner lift kit and plus wheel and tires
do you have a package deal on this set up, please reply!!!!!!
So looking to get this set up

Hey man you post a pic of it.. im debating on how much should I lift mine! Thanks

So I have an 06 4Runner with the XREAS suspension I’m looking to get a lift but unsure of how that will effect either getting spacers or shocks
Depends on what you want to do. I lifted mine with similar parts (different rear springs but 5100s all round) and have zero need for spacers and no issues with stock 17" rims. Bigger tires will need bigger offset rims to prevent scrubbijg against upper control arms

I also won’t be doing any real off-roading just some occasional mudding.
@@fernyv121 it’s been a year, but how did it go ?
how much is it lifted front and back

OME (Old Man Emu) is the name brand of coils used. I assume you’re thinking OEM (original equipment manufacturer) which is factory specs
@@avacoreas8816 😂😂😂 yea he got confused I laughed so bad hahaha
How much would something like this cost? Just got a 4Runner and want to do this ASAP.
i got 5100's added to mines and it was $1600 just for that alone.
can the 33s clear the body mount on the 4Runner?
Not from what I've seen. My 03 with 275 - 70 -17 rubbed. I went down to 265 - 70 - 17 and its good.
And what are the name of the Lift springs and does it ride good with upper control arms and do I have to buy shocks
OME lift springs - get whatever weight fits your vehicle / you’re gonna need shocks if you get the springs because the stock ones aren’t long enough and you will need upper control arms to correct alignment

2.5 lift or 3" lift.. Great work by the way !!!
Go 6”
That 2.5 will level it off with the rear just perfect...if that what you're going for
So how much does it cost ? I got 4th gen 4Runner sr5 I’m trying to upgrade it pls I need answer

what's the benefit of the tubular uniball?
Mark Echevarria suspension travel is increased and also helps your longevity of ball joints also
@@brandonhoughtalen9358 ok now in that case do the sway links have to be longer too?
Looks good but the back end looks low on the 4th gen
reddon1969 I noticed that too. It seems they put the stock wheels and tires in the rear.
What's this setup cost installed? Lift only?

What's the offset are those wheels and what setting is the front shock on?
looks to be the highest setting
@@qgeekin2838 think so? I am getting ready to install this on my 4th gen and I like the way it sits.
What’s the biggest lift you have done on a 4th gen 4Runner? @88ROTORS
What's the offset on these? Love the stance
+7 I think is what he said.
Do I have to buy bilstein shocks or can I do it without shocks
Very nice
2-wheel drive. At least it looks cool...
I kept looking but I couldn’t see the cv axles in the front, I thought I was crazy
How much for somthing like this on the silver 4runner? So sexy
❤️❤️❤️❤️
This was more of an advertisement video and not a how to video.
The subscribe button is white not red...
cool video, too much gimble man. Seasick
It's 2wd...
That 4runner needs to upgrade the engine to a V8 and them brakes to 5th Gen. V6 won’t just cut it it’s too slow. You’re welcome
Just talk normally would of made the video way better
How much lift was this
probably 3 inches up front and 1.5 in the back
What does the 4 gen set up run I’m looking to do the exact set up?
Close to $3500 not including labor costs I'd say.
It would be cheaper to get spacers if you just want the lift for looks
