Asimo was able to do this in the 90s. It's a remote controlled robot with a human voice over.
they also needed decades to Develop it, xiaomi doesn't even exist as long as they developed asimo so they did it in much shorter time......

I was hoping for something closer to Asimo... But hey, between Honda changing direction in their robotics division and Boston dynamics cheapest walking robot costing 75k, I am open to anything that has legs that move and basic working arms.

Looks like that Japanese Honda robot Asimov from the 1980's.
You want to tell me that for all these decades in robotics this is all we can do. I kinda like the Honda Asimo toy from the 90s tho that one was a way more advanced toy than this because it could kick a soccer ball and dance.

if you think about Xiaomi large domotic and connected items, in the future, this robot can replace your phone or your speaker in control possibilities, and help young or old people at home doing basic things like a home butler

So cool to see companies trying to start the robot revolution but dang it almost looks just like the Tesla bot concept and it’s got the name cyber in it like cyber truck lol. Obviously this does even compare to Boston dynamics Atlas robot but good to see some competition.
Anything that is futuristic can be named cyber. Elon must had no pattend on the word *cyber* so other companies can do what they want. Many phones have the word ultra and Pro in it as well.
Xiaomi also named Cyberdog.

Also theres literally nothing impressive about this robot, it moves akwardly, (probably remote controlled), pre-recorded audio and much more impressive humanoids have been made before. Take a look at Boston Dynamics's Atlas robot. Now thats a real good humanoid.

OFC its scripted. But it seems to be its actual AI but no conciousness it just says what it thinks its supposed to. This is less impressive when you know how it works. Boston Dynamics robots are so impressive though they have better range of motion. I really do not care about this siri type robot who can understand my emotions or whatever, I want something a little more advanced. Say it can scan a picture and read it out loud to you, or draw on a smart board or something

There aint no way people say this is better than teslabot. Not that is bad, making a robot takes time and this is quite an achievement, but it walks rather stiff compared to Tesla's. I think people are just jealous and hate on Elon Musk for whatever reason
Those are both lousy robots. Actually this one can walk faster than the tesla bot. But Asimo could do this 20 years ago.
