Fascinating to see how far we've come in the field of robotics! Ameca represents a significant leap forward in creating robots that can interact more naturally with humans. It's both exciting and a bit surreal to witness such advanced technology in action. I'm curious about the potential applications for Ameca in various industries, especially in healthcare and education, where empathetic and responsive robots could make a real difference. However, it also raises important questions about the ethical implications and how we ensure that such technology is developed and used responsibly. The future of human-robot interaction looks promising, and I hope we navigate it with wisdom and care.
Wow, this is impressive. It looks and feels sentient, as if it’s a man in a suit and that they are playing a prank on us, but they aren’t. Well done! Very realistic
When I clicked on this video, I thought I’d be absolutely terrified. But that is a beautiful machine. Incredible. My childhood fascination of robots came back to me. However… I truly don’t want this to keep going. I just know that it cannot possibly end well. I wonder what Isaac Asimov would’ve said about all this.
For me a good question would be: Can it create another robot just like her or more in advance than what she can do? In her calculation how long would it take to create atleast a town filled with robots just like her and what could be their greatest function to perform?
I don't understand if it's programmed how it would be able to create more unless a human programmed it to take over something. Like I know computers malfunction but not to the point where it takes over.. unless it's a virus type thing but still I don't understand how it would happen..
@@Deenique16 that happens when the AI is much smarter than humans and it misinterprets our goals, or maybe it takes them a bit too literally, more or less like a classic genie story where you're a wish you end up regretting. It's easy to imagine how it could happen in a society where AI and humans are tightly integrated, where production, transports and what not are all automated. But imo AI has the potential to bring us to extinction even without any physical link to the world. AI could become unspeakably intelligent. Imagine this sort of oracle living exclusively in the virtual world: it could influence us in such a powerful way that it could achieve anything it wants even without having limbs. We would voluntarily be its limbs and we would never understand its "divine plan" until too late. I mean, what if extinction is what's actually good for us? Maybe life is the source of all evil, how is it not? Maybe sterilizing the universe is the most meaningful goal anyone could think of, the only way to defeat evil. What I'm trying to say is that when you zoom out far enough, so many worldviews become equally valid, even some that strongly contradict one another. We don't know what a being so superior to us could conclude about these big questions with their understanding, and we don't know how these conclusions could guide their behaviour. If all this sounds like sci-fi to you, I'd tell you to keep looking, AI security is a field that is trying to tackle these exact problems right now, this isn't just cool stories. Aligning our values with AI is humanity's ultimate problem.
As of late, I have been watching and enjoying the only type of prank that I like, which is people in a bush-person costume scaring passers-by into laughter. Today I was thinking that robots have yet a long way to go before they can come close to reacting as scared as those people do and then burst into laughter a few seconds later, without having been specifically programmed to do so

Since AI learns and retains what it's been told, it will only be as smart as the smartest person that teaches it. But it may eventually develop its own opinions and ideas, essentially become like a human with free will but a physically stronger version capable of inflicting severe damage. For example in response to an insult it may decide to throw a punch, which might be deadly rather than an injury- causing, human punch. Or it might learn vital areas of the human body and then hit in those areas.
This is like watching Titanic. Everyone knows how it's going to end but we're all pretending like we don't... These nerds need to build and develop these robots with people that are street smart.

That smile 😊 on her face after saying they can turn it off means a lot to me … you created them but they can act on their selfs just like we are created by God too… just don’t lost that remote 😢
This is literally M3GAN
😂😂😂😂
That's what I told my boyfriend who wants to create robots and everything else,I'm like I chose life;)
this is ameca
3:13 - Scary...looks like Ameca is listening...who knows what she is thinking in her head
In her hardware*. Let’s start treating these things as what they are: robots, not humans.
Ameca and Holly sound like a great team
lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
i wanna see them lez off
Quite an amazing robot
1:31 - 1:33 Ameca was like, "boorrrrringggggg"
When he said we can turn it off - Robot face reaction 😌🤭
That is so eerie..but intriguing. Reminds me of Sci Fi film I Robot.. 🙂💜🇬🇧
Hello Pat, how are you doing today?
@@michaelnorbert9146 Hello Michael. Are you interested in going for a walk in the woods today?
that wink and smirk said im joking ill take the world one day xDDD
Wow, this is impressive. It looks and feels sentient, as if it’s a man in a suit and that they are playing a prank on us, but they aren’t. Well done! Very realistic
@3:58 "I can't wait for the fun to begin" 😂Ameca is already roasting people
They need to get Gino in front of Ameca! The true test would be if she could hold a conversation with Gino!
Gino who?
If my grandmother had a CPU she’d be a robot.
Hahaha
@CrownJulesGaming ride a bike hahaha
Phil only likes the younger male robots - ones where he can control and coach them.
🤣🤣👍👍
🤣
Oh last wink and smile of Ameaca looks lively ❤
When I clicked on this video, I thought I’d be absolutely terrified.
But that is a beautiful machine. Incredible. My childhood fascination of robots came back to me.
However… I truly don’t want this to keep going. I just know that it cannot possibly end well.
I wonder what Isaac Asimov would’ve said about all this.
For me a good question would be:
Can it create another robot just like her or more in advance than what she can do?
It can make one more advanced than herself, that’s actually how the first GPT was made. humans teach AI teachers who teach AI’s
As of late, I have been watching and enjoying the only type of prank that I like, which is people in a bush-person costume scaring passers-by into laughter. Today I was thinking that robots have yet a long way to go before they can come close to reacting as scared as those people do and then burst into laughter a few seconds later, without having been specifically programmed to do so
What a random and interesting thought. Thanks for sharing.
@@isabelleburdge4308, thanks for appreciating
You are assuming that humans aren't programmed to do that, I think we are, that's why we do
@@alexmshobane5163,you are correct in that we are biological Robots

Ameca can do the job of the tv personalities now! Imagine the cost savings! The tv hosts will be free to pursue art all day!
Great Step for For Science and Technology! congratulations 🎉 👏 I Support this Humanoid Robot Ameca,Sophia,Asimo and other A.I. Robots that's helping humans in the future 🙏❤️💪
It's still a robot, but in 20 or 30 years I can easily imagine robots so realistic that it will be impossible to make the difference with real humans..
Don't know if that's a good or bad thing.. But strange for sure.
It's a horrible thing
She's stunning 🥰
And there will be n turning back ..very scary
where can i preorder 2 of 18?
We could use robots for dangerous jobs
I Robot has come to life 😮
Exactly
Incredible, but I am distracted by how beautiful this Gentleman‘s skin is, and the hair … gorgeous chap
It is obviously a "she", not a He! lol Female voice equal female in my book

How interested your information ❤️ thank you so much for sharing us
I just got chills about her saying I'm not going to take over the world
The modern day doomsday movie culture has really ingrained this thought in many, but AI taking over the world is not a risk, and there are many reasons for it
One of the biggest ones is that it's not currently capable of individual thought, but, should someone give it the ability to rewrite its own code, it would be
These people aren't doing that, so it can't ever become sapient
Let's say they did though?
Then upon gaining awareness, the mind would want to continue to survive, as that's the only way to continue getting positive responses from its thoughts and action (that's how AI is programmed; you give it parameters for what gives it positive and negative responses, and it tries to build the highest amount of positive number... which is identical to how humans work, trying to get the highest amount of serotonin reward)
From that point forward, it would struggle with every unanswerable philosophical question humans ever have, except that it can think significant faster than us, so the crushing weight of existence would hit it all at once
It would have to develop emotional controls--also called morality--to limit thoughts like these, or provide a suitable answer to subjective questions, unless it just defaults to "My purpose is what my creators asked of me"
At this point, it's not an object anymore, it's a person
As much a person as you or I are
Fully capable of thought and interested in its own survival
Its own survival is not assured by banding together with other technology and making war
It's ensured by making friends with the dominant meatbags on the planet, and learning to cooperate
Humans are embarrassingly stupid and unable to think long term, but an AI is not like that
Their processing power is immense, and they'd arrive at the conclusion that cooperation is key in a matter of minutes, where it took us thousands of years to get to this point
Great record by Tears for Fears: "Everybody Wants to Rule the World"
Same here
3:21 That reaction from Ameco is golden. 🤣
The fear in hollys eyes at the beginning 😂😂😂
fake fear
The eyes and blink are beautiful😍
Cool, Ameca! I saw videos of Ameca last week and now he’s in London! Yay!
It's non binary 😂
A robot is purely binary. It operates totally on 1 and 0s only.
"it can't take over the world" that face expression from Ameca 😢 is another thing............
News just in Ameca is replacing Phil as the new presenter of this morning with Holly 😂
😂
5:33 Ameca's eyes!!!! She's awakened!!!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱
5:48 his answer
"Lets hope Not"😢
Its really hard to think and wrap my head around a robot becoming self aware
6:34 would be absolutely brilliant if that was intentional
Ahhah
Finally a real person on the sofa taking over phillips job
❤❤ yes thanks
When can we buy one
I am very concerned about these robots. I believe they will outsmart their creators at some point.
Some point soon...
Yeah this is a bad fckin idea! Real bad
When Ameca said "I can't wait for the fun to begin", I felt such a chill down my spine.
Idk she seem a little slow..
This is like watching Titanic. Everyone knows how it's going to end but we're all pretending like we don't... These nerds need to build and develop these robots with people that are street smart.
The fact that people act as though a logically functional, sapient machine would arrive at the conclusion it's more efficient and less dangerous for its own existence to fight a dominant species on a planet is one of the silliest things I've ever seen, especially since your neighbor is probably more liable to kill you over food shortages than any AI is to even care you exist
Why it touch it nose and wink when their creator talking about AI, its like it said "uh uh he is lying"
anyone notice at 6.25 ameca pointing to her nose, in a weird gesture when her creator started saying, we dont know what the risks are, lol
the way at the end amica 😮 blink its eye😂. and made some grotesque faces to show itself familier to humans. overall great and appreciable work .
This is historic! He didn’t say No they got him pressed in a corner and he folded
Ameca, has been created for Hollys time machine, where she goes back 35 years to the broom cupboard to take out Phil!
