Totally agree with Darren's comments about the Woodrow/Taylor fiasco, RE has had plenty of opportunities this season to try Taylor, it's outrageous that he hasn't. That said, Rob is a great guy and is sometimes too quick to take all the blame himself. I hope he can turn it around but it's hope rather than expectation... Btw, good choice of colour tops tonight boys - black, it says it all.
We are now being included in 'who will be relegated' YT videos. I believe Edwards will take us down if he stays. We may be in deep trouble by Christmas.
Two points, one on your pod cast, one on Luton fc; really like to see all four of you on the pod, makes all the difference! Re Luton fc, I'd give Rob till Xmas, but if we're near relegation area then we need new management!
If you are going to blame the players instead of the manager for poor performances the manager still should be able to recognise when some of his players are just not up to it and drop them to the bench or not include them altogether. I agree with your guest it angers me too why does RE persist in starting the wrong players (Clarke for example) and making wrong substitutions? Despite the fact we have injuries we should still be able to organise ourselves into the correct formation with the correct players we have available and play to our strengths!
Bad combination we have and only the players and manager can change it. Poor game management from manager and players plus poor start. We had no pre season thats worth anything as we have too many injuries. So far Rob does not know what his best team is if everyone is fit. If Clark plays friday, that means he can not see how poor he is.
Jacob Brown is a Quality Championship player when he gets enough game time and is not Injured I agree Woodrow is League One, Taylor needs to get more of a crack even if they bring him on at Right or Left Wing
So, where’s these couple of wins coming from? What if? What if? Of course we’re in deep trouble. I don’t hear the board holding their hands up at an awful window. I don’t hear the board admitting an awful decision about a 4 year contract. In fact, I don’t hear much from the board.
I think the biggest problem with the Coventry game was the ref. Whenever Luton tried to string any number of passes together we got fouled and no foul given. Whenever they got in a dangerous area they went down got the foul. It was one rule for one team and a different rule for another.
Brown a league one player! Seriously... He's coming back from a long term injury yet still based on minutes played this season he's in the top 99% for goal assists and goal contributions and 95 and 97% goals per min and XG respectively. Not many minutes but he ain't league 1. On Jones, firstly he wasn't sacked. It was about saving money after Covid had hit and we didn't know when the league was starting back up plus how it was impacting the new stadium costs. Secondly, that last month we started to play quite well. The last 6 games BEFORE the break, we won 3, drew 2 and lost just the one and the football was very watchable. People tend to go with the group think which is often very wrong.
We aren’t that lot from down the road and start sacking everyone - board, Rob and squad need to pull together and sort it. If we see that same midfield away from home again you might as well give the opposition the three points.
If we lose to West brom Edwards has to go, its not working and no matter how "nice" he is it doesn't make him a good manager...top half teams are coming now and I cant see us competing with any of them...money has to be spent, quarter of the season gone....soon it will be too late to salvage anything.
Is it fair to say that the Luton managers looks have kept him in the job rather than his ability,it's what's covering over his failure as manager of the club.his inivicial enthusiasm as the boss has worn thin with the players and the crowd sence it and the lads look like there going through the motions those who don't see this are deluded
Not Shea is better than Kaminski but can teach him a thing. Whenever gets the ball lands on it takes his time allows defence to regain shape. Comes off line to catch more which again kills game temporarily. Kaminski makes some amazing saves but all too often ball is coming straight back.
Remember how you thought there was no problem with the ref at the Sheffield Wednesday game when he made trivial questionable calls like penalty and red card, then gave you a goal which was blatent handball? If the worst complaint you have relates to the ball not being fully in the quadrant for a corner, let's hope things subsequently 'even out over the season'!
Yes, it should even out over the season. No complaints from me, Coventry better team over 90 mins. Deserved to win. It might be their turning point to go on a run. I'm looking forward to the away fixture on 01/02. We may have a new manager then, who knows!
You say players need to step up but only the manager keeps them on the pitch. Clark and Taylor classic examples. Clark poor but lasting 90 mins. Taylor 1 appearance more than 10 mins and even then with 10 men what chance has he got. May be rubbish but how will we know unless tried.
Darren’s insights from the training session are very concerning. No smoke without fire. Great pod lads, keep it up
Appreciate that most of you are honest with predictions and not just blindly supportive

Fact is, we are incapable of putting together a couple of wins. The insight from Darren solidifies that, so imo we are in deep trouble :(

Of course we’re in trouble lads, wake up and smell the coffee. We’ve lost against sone of the worst teams in the league! Plymouth, QPR, Coventry.

Edwards has to go he’s been useless for 12 months now. The players have also been pathetic but unfortunately we can’t sack them.

The results during this calendar year are bad. We are in a downward spiral and something needs to change

You could stop trying to kick pull push and trip the opposition and just maybe try and play football.
