PPF Removal Tutorial - USING A STEAMER - Use this on ANY PPF

Paint Protection Film removal is not exactly an easy task. What I found was that using a steamer will make the process a lot easier.
Using the steamer to remove the paint protection film will soften the glue a to allow it to release off the paint cleanly. A heat gun, or just removing it cold will cause the glue to remain on the paint, and the film will be removed off the car.
Again, please be aware, that this method will work best on film that has not been exposed to the elements for an extended period of time. Some paint protection film will simply leave a layer of glue behind no matter how much steam is used. Aged PPF will sometimes be removed in tiny pieces, with glue remaining on the paint.

I have PPF by Suntek "stealth PPF" on my C63 AMG. I agree the steam is probably a good idea. What about aftermarket hoods that have been painted and clear coated? Can paint be taken off with the PPF in this case?
