i agree the car dealerships are starting to now depreciate the trade in value of the vehicle even if film is in good condition they don't want to be responsible down the road
Wish I would of seen this before I took on that same job. 2 days with 2 guys & lots of hard work. Doubt I’ll ever want to tackle the front of a coach again but after seeing this video it’s possible. Need that scraper!!
I just took the clear bra off my 20 year old Lexus. The part on the hood was really cracking and looked dirty. After checking out RUclips videos on what they do, I got started. I found that yes a hair dryer will work BUT I took my wife’s Oreck floor steamer to it and started scraping it off. Only steamer I had but it took a lot less time that way than with just the hair dryer.
I picked up a 2011 camry with some sort of shit like this on the front and I’ve tried heat gun / steam cleaner and it would take 1 year to get it all off. Complete bs
I'm looking for more info on the UGLY SHIELD REMOVAL. Will this work on any paint. Or is this just for RV paint. I have a 2006 Volvo XC90 that came with the factory PPF film on the hood, front bumper cover and the bottom of the back passenger doors. I tried to remove it with a heat gun and plastic scraper and it got tacky from positioning the heat gun too close. I want to find another solution other than sending my vehicle into a body shop and spending thousands of dollars. How can I purchase this product.
would this be the same process for removing a wrap 12-14 years old? Looking at buying an old sprinter and wrap looks to be baked on in some spots… Any help would be appreciated.
If you sharpen with sandpaper properly you won't scratch paint but you do have to be extra careful with 2012 and newer paint the clear coat is softer hope this helps thanks for your comment Wayne uglyshieldremoval.com
LOL just use pressure washer .......... OMG you guys not experience.... Check some youtubes on this they have worse that this even not removable by heat gun but with pressure washer easy to remove
Just used your method on my 987 Boxster, got great results!! The recommended scraper gave more leverage than the smaller ones others use. Thanks!!
My suv came with 3m Scotchgard, and its a beast to remove. Will never buy like that again.

What is this film? It seems to have done nothing for protection...
This is definitely causing scratches and swirls. Not permanent damage but that’s up to the customer
I bet that anyone that has had a film placed on their vehicle when it was new, regrets it eventually !
Please give the details of items you shown in video for removal enabling me to purchase from market
There's a video on all tools needed thanks for comment
Hello how do I get some of the ugly juice and the boost?

Wayne, how can I tell if I have Diamond Shield or 3M on the front of my 2002 Airstream Coach?
That's what I wanted to know.....2004 Country Coach Intrigue.....protective layer looks like crap
On our Tiffin, there is a small emblem stating 'Diamond Shield'. I thought 3M made Diamond Shield...so same thing. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I have a 2006 Monaco Diplomat. How do I know if I have the 3M or the Diamond Shield?
On our Tiffin, under the passenger side mirror, it has an emblem stating it's 'Diamond Shield'.
3m always have been installed on older monacos but somtimes diamond shield will be installed if replaced
Where do you get the tools

How to do know the difference between Diamond and 3M brands?
If you never do stuff like this get a heat gun with different temperature settings. This way you don’t take mess up anything.
because you have different settings you dont mess stuff up? right
@@yarpos I believe he means if it only has one HOT setting, it's best to not get that particular heat gun!
I had the 3m film on my denali from 2012 to 2024 and it never cracked or molded underneath. It just peeled a bit at the edges. 🤷♂️
Links in the description. What links ?
what temperature to remove ?
Would this chemical work on removing tape from vinyl windows?
I don't see any price on how much this 'boost' costs?
yes
First video?
Could you please mention the chemical name you used?
First chemical they call it 'Ugly Juice' (look it up on Google) and the second chemical is a 'Boost' to add to the first chemical.
How many hours ,take off 3m film and leavin clean?
1000 hours at least
where can I get it from
How do i hey in contact with u?
Wat metiriyal you...
WOW that Clear shield stuff is garbage.
Good idea 💡 Habib from Pakistan live in Bahrain 🇧🇭
There’s got to be a quicker way.. this is ridiculous!
This is the quickest way. It sucks, I dunno why people use these clear bras.
You 'can' hire someone to do it, but that is certainly going to cost you too. It's stated, it takes about 8 hours to do the full front of a motorhome.
Use a steamer. You’re welcome.
thanks for comment this video is 6 years old we use florida sun now
So you will scratch the paint I guarantee

Wow nice
Nope , nope and nope
Costs as much to get it removed as it did to get it put on, LOL
