What a great idea Cat. To combine the bleach and slow stitching. I think I will give it a go!
Thanks so much!
Thanks Cat for your art and your comments.... bravo e grazie!! 🙏🏻💙🙏🏻 👍🏻
Thank you Vanna, so glad you enjoyed it! 😘💝
I combine my tatting with crocheted pieces, other stitching and flowers all the time. And I love doing it. I so enjoy your videos and you give me lots of new ideas to think about. Thank you, Caterina!
Thank you! And thanks for watching! 😘
I love the bleach holes and the way you sew around them! Super cool. I love ripped, stained, holes...so much texture. :)
Me too! Thank you! 😘
I love, love your description of mixed media art and slow stitching. I totally agree! No rules, recycle, use what you have!! 🥰👌💕
I haven't done a lot of slow stitching...yet, but I think it can apply to all art.
Yes it can! 😘
I enjoy your videos very much. They are informative and so very peaceful. It’s great that you answer our questions in detail. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍
What a nice compliment! Thank you for watching!!
Love your bleach marks and slow stitching. Very inspiring! (And yummy!)
Thank you dear friend 😘
One of my all time favorite vlogs!
Thank you so very much!

So glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching!!

Thank you so very much! Glad you enjoyed it so much!
Thanks so much for a wonderful video…loved every moment❤️ And thanks for answering my question about thread and needle sizes…no more thinking or reading about it!! Maybe one day you will visit us down under? Thanks again to you both ❤️❤️
So enjoy spending time with you two! Thank you for all you share.
😻
Thanks, Jayne for watching!! 😘
This fabric you used is so lovely.. I have never done this technique. Anything with slow stitching I love. You are so talented.
Thank you so much, Cathie!
Love the bleaching of fabrics. The marks are yummy.
Yummy!! Yes I so agree! Thank you!!
Thanks for a great video and for answering my questions…no more reading!!
Maybe one day you will get to visit down under? Thanks again to both of you😊❤️
Diana! Yes.. it’s on our list!! Would love to visit for sure. Thanks for the great question.. I have had others ask it too. If you are doing embroidery or following some kind of pattern, it would be important.. but the slow movement is all about listening intuitively. Thank you for watching 😘♥️
Great video and questions Caterina 💙You never see the word 'art' on the back of the bleach bottle for 'uses'!😄Especially loved your response to the question about portraying emotions through art. It really spoke to me about trusting the process and letting go💙💙💙
Thank you, Isabell. Right? Bleach isn’t usually considered but what a great mark maker it is.. glad the response to the question resonated so well. Hugs 🤗💙💙💙
Once again just love your work Cat 🌟
Thank you!! 😍
I love watching you stitch and hearing your thought process. Those bleach dyed fabric are magnificent! 🥰
Hi Cat, I’m using my hubbies iPad. I really enjoyed your slow stitching today, very inspiring. The bleach idea was mind blowing, who knew, I know they should be obvious but hey that’s why we watch you your a genius. Thank you for answering my question, it really helped, it was very enlightening. Take care and love to you both, you have got me going again, I shall be doing my slow stitching again soon for sure. Love Lita xxxx
Hi Lita! It was a great question and thank you for asking it, it is a topic near to my heart. Glad you liked the fabric manipulation too! Thank you so much, dearheart. xxxx
Hi Cat! Thank you for sharing these techniques that I will use in my slow stitching panels I am designing to work on during the upcoming months. I really look forward to these Friday videos.
Hi Anne, glad you enjoyed it! 😘
Such talent
Thank you!!
Hi Cat, dear friend. I had a s l o w video today. 😊 Got part way thru, the 10% warning came up, immediately plugged it in, but it discharged to a black screen. Had to wait til the iPad got some more strength and finally saw the rest of the video. But it was a great video as usual and you answered some good questions. Really loved the mark making from the bleach as well as the stitches. Today I’m sending my usual air kisses 😘, but also some some cheer 🌸🌹🌸🌿🌹and a big friend hug 🤗. Oxo
Thank you dear Janice! The kids are much better ♥️yay and so I will take the hug and send kisses xoxo and hugs 🤗 back to you! Glad you liked it! 😘🌸✨🌸💝
@@CaterinaGiglio hooray! Thank the Lord they are feeling better. 🙏🤗😘
@@janicerobinson5286 thank you for your prayers .. they were vaxed right after I got mine.. so was surprised they suffered at all, but yes 👍 greatly improved!!!💝💝💝
@@CaterinaGiglio I had an acquaintance that was vaxed, later got the delta variant, and doc said the vax gave the delta to this person bc the shot didn't stay in the muscle but went throughout the body. I was shocked ! Maybe that happed to your D and SIL. Strange times But anyway we've rejoice that they are better. 🎉🎊🥰🌞💫💥
Good advice with working with direct bleach....caustic and play with care.
Cat love this
Thank you so much! 😘
Cat, what a marvelous, relaxed video. Thanks to you and Don for always coming thru. I'm in the middle of a really frustrating project in my studio, and thought, just take a break and the answers will come tomorrow when you look at it again. This actually usually does work for me. But the best part was, I decided to turn on your Friday video, and there you were, with your sloooow stitching. It was just what I needed. Beautiful creations, thank you.
BTW, would a bleach pen have the same effect as a brush? Maybe give you more control, which might be a good thing with bleach.
Thank you dearheart.. I am actually really struggling through a project as well, so I completely understand and the slow stitching really soothed. Yes a bleach pen would be wonderful! Especially used with a brush.. two different kinds of marks… you are brilliant!! 😘
Thank you Cat for addressing my question. Also you might be interested to know that hydrogen peroxide will negate the effects of bleach.
Hi Becky.. I hope I answered it well enough….And are you talking about HP negating the disintegration of fabrics?
@@CaterinaGiglio I have quite a collection of laces, tatting trims, doilies, etc. and do use them cut up in my art, but I find myself wanting to combine more of them perhaps to make a book and thought you might have some ideas as you are so creative. Yes the HP will stop deterioration unless that’s the affect you want.
@@bbquiltartist11 You know I do love disintegration 😉 I think 🤔 a book with lace samples would be so lovely ☺️
Thankyou for sharing
Most welcome 😘
What a great video, imagine using bleach! Appreciate the chat too, thanks :)
Thank you!!
I love this so much. I continue to try these art projects you video. I have a question? Can gel matte medium be rejuvenated.
And I would like to share my work but not necessarily on the FB. Is it possible to share my photos to you?
Thank you so much. Once the medium has dried, it cannot be rejuvenated. I prefer to keep everything on social media…
