"Paranoisiac" is a Visual Novel (Horror) released in 1988 from SEBA on PC-98.
The game takes place in a cyberpunk world in 2028 and tells the story of an android girl in search of the murderer of her creator: a renowned scientist working for "Technocraß Industries", her investigation will take her from the depths to the deepest high levels of the city of Kitayashi where plots, politics and murders are daily occurrences.
This is a special game in SEBA's ludography, not only because it is one of the developer's few Visual Novels but also because of the mature themes it deals with, the game contains scenes violence, gore and sexual content.
Written and directed by Matsuno Isako (creator of the “Shining Hearts” series from the same developer), the game was developed by a small team within SEBA.
The game's financial and critical success was unfortunately not achieved, making it a rare game to own these days.
Its reputation has improved over the years thanks to the new craze for retrogaming in the 2000s.
