Glad to see you are getting a oil barrel filter setup. I used a water heater element to warm my oil when filtering it too. Just welded a bung in the lower half of the barrel to screw it in and wired it up to 110V.
Steve, that smaller turbo produces a whole lot more braking. 351 gives you 130 hp braking. The smaller one gives you 175 hp braking. I had no trouble with the four bolts on my actuator when I replaced it. I used PB Blaster, now I would use Deep Creep. That stuff is miraculous. Steed Dolan has a controller for those actuators. I used that and my little surface with his program to calibrate the turbo. You have to turn the key on and off three times with about five seconds in between.
Spray some Blaster Surface Shield/Fluid Film on that pump top ring to help keep it from rusting out. Those Fleece pumps are like $800...but no extra filtration and it in the tank so service would be a pain. I like the idea of an External. I chose FASS, for the extra ports. I added a heater probe and fuel temp sensor for my cts3. If I really needed it there's 2 ports for coolant hoses to keep it warm.
Just for a tip you can remove the starter relay and have to hold key to Crank position and pump will bleed hold key 15 seconds then off then 15 seconds a couple times then put relay back in and fire it up
Was there enought cable to run it accross the fire wall to the right side battery and mount the relay ? You are a hard working guy and you will reach your goals.
It should spool just the same if not faster. Just depends on how you tune it. How fast a vgt spools is all tuning related. It flows a lot more air than factory and you lose egt's. If guy want 600hp this is a good option.
Sloppy Mechanics will add THREE cheapo ebay pumps to his 1000+ HP E85 burning LS engines. Got me to thinking a few months back, it would be VERY easy to pull factory pump out of truck and add a SECOND $30-40 pump to the factory sump setup and save Mega Bucks. Add pump, splice wires, put a T fitting in the line to feed them together and Double ur pleasure, Double ur fun. What ya think?
Hey man prolly a dumb question but that cross member holding the def tank on can you leave that off once you remove the def tank or should you keep just the cross member on and leave the tank off thanks man love the videos
I absolutely love your videos sir! I haul cars as well ! Question: what is better engine and Trans oil - amsoil or hotshot secret for my 2021 ram 5500 ??? Thanks
I've heard nothing but good things about amsoil. I have no knowledge on the hotshots secret. I run the pennzoil in my trans and it lasted 548,000 miles while towing
He's asking 1000 OBO for it. 21,000 miles were on it at the time of the replacement. Send me a message either on Instagram or my email in the description of the video. I'll get you in contact with him
I'm not sure what his reasoning was. I got rid of mine because I'm home daily and plug my truck in so the draw it takes on the batteries and alternator weren't something I wanted to mess with.
@@andyalaniz5843 Next really cold day you get and the trucks NOT plugged in, just get in it and crank it over. Dont wait on the grid heaters at all, it will most likely fire up fine, unless its around zero or lower. They help yes, but it should fire up.
@@andyalaniz5843 grid heater warms the air going into the truck so it will start. Plugging in truck warms the oil or antifreeze or both which will let truck turn over faster and warm up faster but if air is super cold it will still start hard.
I dont understand removing the grid heater, but then again i drive a duramax so i dont really care.. im not sure about ram but on a GM if you remove the plastic cover from the fuse box, there's aux posts to attach accessories too, i just did driving and fogs on my truck, everything looks stock, i hate hooking shit right to the battery, rams dont have 2 batteries?
Grids are mostly for emissions compliance on cold starts. The 24 valves will start with no grids or being plugged in when its really cold. Maybe not in the 20 below areas but my 06,09 and 12 all had no grid heaters and would fire right off when it was at or close to zero degrees out. I would run my heater on a timer when it would get below 20 but that was just to help it get the heater to get warmer aster fwhen i was heading out early in the morning.
You really need to stop pouring waste fluid in your truck if you're going to be running them filters just saying I love you content you're doing good thank you for the videos
I was looking on internet an found a 2014 5500 for 26995 in Houston Texas Said long flat bed 163000 miles rwd Drw Think it was on car for sale But left no number just click on if interested but Texas is full of 5500s for sale ha ha cowboy thing
so something I remember reading up on is you have to key on and let the fuel pump prime, but you have to do it about 5-6 times and then it will start.

Too funny I was waiting for you to see that the fuel pump is Spring loaded.
Great job man!
It threw me off for sure! 😂

That's an insane difference. Not to mention probably causes a lot more head gasket failures 😂
I have the extra 5.5 gal capacity and there seems to be about 10 gallons left when it reads dead empty.
We have seen the DOT undo the fuel filter to get a sample to see if you are running red farm fuel or not.

He’s throwing some coin at that truck

It was a foot or 2 too short
Gonna start calling you Mopar Steve!
The factory pump will only be 5 to 7 PSI but they flow a ton of fuel. The OEM pumps are usually good until you get to around 400HP or better.
You’re right. My diff gasket never leaks either 👍
Another great video
Awsome video
We found that trans old does not burn very well at all. Other oil yes trans no!
Come on now, i just did a fuel pump outside at -2, so no complaining about weather workin inside😁
I missed this the other day … I did something with my fuel pump too 🤣🤣🙄🙈
Question: on the 2018 Ram 6.7 Cummins does the fan clutch move clockwise or counterclockwise in order to remove it for timing case work?
Siting on the fender with a keys not the smartest thing
Why does this spool up slower than the stock turbo? What’s the the advantages and disadvantages?

Wehrli Custom Fab … I have too
Use anti-seize … help some … spray it occasionally with CRC
Nice dog 🐶
At 17° if I don't plug my 04 in it high idles the second it fires up

Project Farm has done a lot of testing on Amsoil...it really is impressive stuff in his nonpaid testing.
No audio today?
What is the price for the turbo that came out of the truck?
$2,949 + core charge
How do I buy the old turbo?

Run it to the other battery. It’s positive is facing the firewall … I think 🤷🏻♂️
Where you located
Carlisle pa
How much you charging a hour to work on these guys Truck
80 an hour
Why don't you get a 5500 forth gen crew cab then put a aluminum tow bed on it and drop in a 5.9 12valve
I hate 4th gens. I had 5 with the previous business. Never again. I want an 08 or 09 5500
Why take the grid heater out? No disrespect just a serious question.
I'm not sure what his reasoning was. I got rid of mine because I'm home daily and plug my truck in so the draw it takes on the batteries and alternator weren't something I wanted to mess with.
They arent needed unless its way colder then where they are really. The 24 valves will fire up no problem without them.
Thanks for the response probably would not work for my area I can't always plug my tuck in.

2300 dollar😂 bro I wish VGT cheetah cost 3500 with the core charge
This was back when it was affordable 😂
