Unless theres more adjustment to the Westgate, the intercooler might be losing all your power. Me and my dad both have 06 trucks with 100% overs, steed speeds and efi live. Based off quarter mile times and the weight of the trucks on the scales mine makes about 605 to the wheels with the stock he351 and his makes 750 with the cheetah. His spikes over 50 psi but normally runs about 45 or 48. Were the egts high when you added more fuel?
You should check out Firepunks latest vid. They had a small boost leak and brand new 420V tires on the truck. They fixed the boost leak and switched to a tire with 25% tread and picked up 175hp. So I would say that could be part of your problem, having the boost leak and brand new tires.
What was the total gain over the stock tur-blower? I thought the stock unit made like 544? Seems like a lot of money to spend on the new turbo to only pick up 30 ish horse torques and some whistle pounds... Am I way off here on being disappointed by the showing of this tur-blower compared to stock?
Awesome to see what all goes into dyno tuning and the struggles you may encounter. Excellent advice about these old 300k mile trucks and trying to instantly make a number. How does it feel on the street/ burnouts now that it is fueling properly?
Hey Josh I'm sure you have answered this and I have just missed it, but what rear differential do you recommend? I have an open and do everything with my truck; tow, dirt/sand drag, off-road, and asphalt ripper.
Does PDD not have someone who does tuning that could do it for you there while you're on the dyno? And if they do why did you decide to go with James? Love the channel keep it up!
@@horsetorquesdiesel understandable! Keep up the good work! I bought an '06 mega cab that I'm basically doing all the same stuff to a few months before you got your '07. Definitely following along!
I love the diesel world You techs are amazing........ Why don’t ANY of you have ventilation by the dyno ? It’s just a hole in the wall with a fan You men can build the best diesels out there but not put in a fan ?
My truck is a 2002 dodge ram 2505.9 L stock diesel common engine. What do I need to add more horsepower to it something that symbol
Hell yeah man keep up the videos. I'm loving the progression of the truck
Thank you!
Great video
Thank you!
Interesting episode, very informative!!
Good video

Without a doubt power is literally leaking out!

Yeah I’ll do the intercooler swap on the 467.7 testing video. The he351 is off already.
3:19 looks like the turbo to manifold gasket is leaking as well lol.
@@Nathangies it wasn’t. The factory one had a leaking gasket when we removed it
Josh like the new channel keep up the great work david

I think the intercooler leak is a big part of the lost power. Also the egts are much lower at the same power level which is a big improvement
@@horsetorquesdiesel EGT control is huge, especially if you wanted to tow at these power levels! Thanks for the feedback!
Rule #1 never NEVER underestimate Josh lol

Great job guys!!!
you can shut off the seat belt warning with a series of buckle/un-buckles , great vids

It’s snappy. I just miss high rpm power!
@@horsetorquesdiesel I'll bet, watching you pin the tach way past 4500 rpm on the 05, I'm sure this feels like a warm up lap.

Awesome Josh love the real world view of things and love the tuners assist in dialing it in who's intercooler will you use Mishimoto?
Going with ON3 performance
Looking good, I was thinking boost leak when you were only hitting mid 30's of boost in that turbo. I look forward to the 467.7 testing!
What all was done to the truck at this time other than intake and fleece turbo?

I’m not at a level to take on the bigger fuel system and James was nice enough to reach out and help on the project!

why dont you guys put the hp twizzlers on it snd tune it yourself?
I don’t know enough about these new DDPs to do it myself.
Would this be a good turbo for a daily driver thats pretty much stock?
Yes these are meant for total drop in at factory fuel with higher fuel capabilities. These will bolt up and run great on a bare stock Cummins.

I am running the stock turbo and I get 39psi boost, your barely getting 40 your definitely losing a lot of boost from that leak
No doubt 5-6psi
So when are you gonna announce your award???
Maybe when the plaque shows up!
Snorting that coal LOL

Great video ! I have exactly the same adjustable wastegate 🤣👍🏻

We plumb the exhaust outside but it keep breaking the wire, we have it fixed much better now, we have a big shop fan to suck it out as well.
