    Omgosh! I've always loved the look of gourds. I love your work area. This video really explains the steps to gourds art. I have lot's of gourds and tools but have always been nervous to start. This video has really motivated me to just do it. You don't learn if you don't try. Wish me luck. Lol

      I am so glad this inspired you!😄 Gourds should not be intimidating - they are only vegetables after all! Check out the American Gourd Society and see if there is a chapter in your state, or one you could travel to an annual festival. Then you can also take workshops and talk with people who love to chat about gourds! Just have fun with it!

    Jenn, really enjoyed your video. Question, how do you treat the inside of a gourd if you were making a vase or a planter out of it?

    • @JennAveryGourdArt
      @JennAveryGourdArt  2 года назад +1

      I have not done this, but many other gourders melt beeswax and pour that inside to make it water tight.

  • @sandytroxel7823

    Thank you for such a great video! What did you use to seal the inside of your gourd? The finish on the outside?
    I’m new to gourding and will be looking for more of your very informative videos!

    • @JennAveryGourdArt
      @JennAveryGourdArt  2 года назад

      I use acrylic paint on the inside, and a clear acrylic sealer on the outside 👍

    Vidéo très intéressante, merci de montrer le nettoyage d'une gourde a l'intérieur, mais où trouver vous la brosse qui ponce, qui se met sur une visseuse? Ou comment s'appelle t'elle? Merci beaucoup car j'ai au moins dix courges a nettoyer... Bonne journée.

    You dont show or tell how to weave or how or where you get the pattern for your gourds and how to apply. Please tell us where to get patterns and how to apply and show us how to Woodburn and when and where to shade. Ty
