What a wonderful and very professionally done tutorial. I enjoyed every moment and I really appreciate you showing us the a-z of seed prep through nurturing the gourds' growth.
So many beautiful pieces❣️Lovely knot work and illustrated subject matter. Thank you so much for sharing your process, knowledge and talents with your viewers. This was a very interesting and well produced video. 👍.
Omgosh! I've always loved the look of gourds. I love your work area. This video really explains the steps to gourds art. I have lot's of gourds and tools but have always been nervous to start. This video has really motivated me to just do it. You don't learn if you don't try. Wish me luck. Lol
I am so glad this inspired you!😄 Gourds should not be intimidating - they are only vegetables after all! Check out the American Gourd Society and see if there is a chapter in your state, or one you could travel to an annual festival. Then you can also take workshops and talk with people who love to chat about gourds! Just have fun with it!
So glad I found you! I really enjoyed your tour. I have done some painting on gourds a friend grew. This year I grew my own. I want to give pyrography a try. Your work is beautiful! Heading to your website next! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for such a great video! What did you use to seal the inside of your gourd? The finish on the outside? I’m new to gourding and will be looking for more of your very informative videos!
You dont show or tell how to weave or how or where you get the pattern for your gourds and how to apply. Please tell us where to get patterns and how to apply and show us how to Woodburn and when and where to shade. Ty

good work . Marvin from The Choctaw.
Thank you so much Marvin!
There's a Copper Canyon in Mexico, maybe that gourd variety is from there.
That would make sense!😄
👍subscribed!
Jenn, really enjoyed your video. Question, how do you treat the inside of a gourd if you were making a vase or a planter out of it?
I have not done this, but many other gourders melt beeswax and pour that inside to make it water tight.
Thank you for such a great video! What did you use to seal the inside of your gourd? The finish on the outside?
I’m new to gourding and will be looking for more of your very informative videos!
I use acrylic paint on the inside, and a clear acrylic sealer on the outside 👍
Can you tell us the name of your wood burner ? Beautiful work!
It is a Burnmaster, and I use several different brand pens with it.

I think you mean the gourd sanding ball? I got mine from Welburn Gourd Farm, they are online.
Lovely video , where do you buy your gourding supplies ?
Thank you! Locally when possible, online when necessary!
Buongiorno..mi potrebbe dire il nome del seghetto che usa per tagliare lz zucca...Grazie
It is a Mircolux mini jigsaw
What type of carver do you use?
I use a craftsman rotary tool (like a dremel) and a foredom.
By the way, how do you add weight to your gourds?
I use metal bb’s, and pour epoxy resin over them.
Vous dites que vous les laisser dehors l'hiver il ne gèle pas chez vous?
They can freeze and have rain and snow on them, it makes them easier to clean in the spring!
