- On January 26th, 2022, officers were dispatched to a domestic battery incident in Decatur, Illinois. The victim was reportedly stabbed in the leg with a knife by 49-year-old Blake. Blake was wanted on several previous domestic battery incidents in Decatur.
The woman caller sustained minor injuries and was escorted out of the property.
Blake was eventually found by police after utilizing the K-9 unit to gain compliance.
Blake was sentenced to seven years in prison for armed violence and three years in prison for aggravated domestic battery.
His five-year prison sentence was broken down in a plea deal, to be served at 85%, for admitting the charge of aggravated domestic battery.

Who else thinks Leroy is a good boy?? He's a good boy, yes he is..🐕
He is a god boy 🐶❤
@@lisad56bro what 😭
100% pure bred good boy. I was panicking when they sent him to work.
Such a good boy indeed, got a fluffy westie myself, i'm glad no westie would ever have to do what these k9's have to do, Good boy Leroy, very good boy
He's the goodest of all boys. Captain Borknom is always ready for action.
He stabs his girlfriend and then begs for mercy when tazed…what a pos
Yup, then such a coward when faced with male Police officers and Leroy the K9.
💯💯
absolute scum. glad he got 5 years though....
Aren’t all these cowards a pos? Worried about their own miserable life. It would be almost impossible to not let that dog r*p him ap*rt. (Gotta be nice for RUclips moderators!🍷)
Have your ever considered what the girlfriend may have done
Two things: 1. How TF can anyone live like that? 2. You don't mess with a police K9. Good Job to all involved, especially Leroy!
Was thinking the same thing...with the girl......meth probably.....
Look I understand where you're coming from with not messing with the dog, but on the other hand "Yeah I'm just gonna let this viscous animal tear the flesh from me without resistance". Half the time the dogs are so poorly trained they won't even listen to the heel command and need to be pulled off the suspect, furthering the injury. They're training comes down to two activities, sniffing and biting. They're literally trained to be vicious.
@@Dingusdongus257 Not complying is resistance!!! And it save police officers lives.
@@Dingusdongus257 Boo hoo
Dingusdongus dude..... They gave him like 50 warnings to come out and surrender. He decided to take his chances that the dog wouldn't find him. It did. He got bit. It's his fuckin fault.
I love the officer saying “fuck this” on the stairs to the basement before putting away his stun gun and taking out his gun.
I died laughing when he said that 😅
It's a taser, not a stun gun.
I'm so glad he didn't stab or hurt the dog.
Same.
That guy was all wacked out, I didn't even know the dog landed some good bites until I saw him clenched to his arm, and saw the blood at the end.
Usually people scream like mad to get the dog off when they get bit!
He hit the dog several times in the head with a bat. Officer stated as such in the video near the end...
@@scottjohnson7877 dog was still ok and jumping around, he didn't get a baseball type swing in... The dog messed him up much worse.
@@volvo09 Doesn't matter. He hit the dog. Granted, the suspect got dog bit multiple times but that doesn't excuse the assault on the dog by the suspect.
@@volvo09 I think the tazer took his mind off the dog bites.
I get so scared any time a police dog is deployed. I'm so thankful Leroy was able to walk away from this. And I hope he got the best vet care and so many treats for catching this dangerous person
Scared something is going to happen to the dog but don’t care at all what happens to the human ? Lol man oh man
@@Kaustic410 i never said I didn't care about the people. Of course I care if someone is seriously hurt. But these dogs aren't trained to kill. I think there's a much greater danger to the dog up against a potential armed and dangerous person. There is nothing wrong with being concerned for a dog being sent into a very heated situation like this. I hope this guy gets the help he needs and serves the time he should serve for what he did. But I also hope that dog is ok
@@heatherchisholm2415I agree. Not much a dog can do in a gunfight but at least most people aren’t aware of how to handle an aggressive dog so there’s still a plus side at least.
@@allenalexander2700 I've only ever encountered one aggressive dog. I'll admit I had no idea what to do. And that wasn't even a trained police dog. If I were up against a police dog I'd give myself up pretty frickin fast

there's some sort of sadistic pleasure i get out of watching an abusive person crying for mercy and pleading with the police for doing the same shit they probably put their victim through every day

After stabbing his GF and doing everything he possibly could to fight the police, this idiot of a man has the nerve to say ¨hey you guys cant be doing this to people¨.
Right?! And “I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry” sheeesh 🫣
Yeah, if he likes that crawl space so much, they should just brick it up with him in there, and peace out for a week.
The cop with the bodycam in the basement absolutely clocked this mfer and broke his hand on his head. AHHAHAHAHA

What type of person has that as a shelf ornament, either has poor taste in interior design or enjoys their interior designed so regularly it isnt worth them putting it away until next usage.
Officer also needs to say: "Harming a police dog is the same as harming a police officer." Too often you see dogs shot or stabbed by the suspect. Being warned may make them think twice.
It's a known law. K9s are deputies officers.
Depending on where you live you can get serious time for shooting and killing a police dog. So yeah. You’re right.
@@SnapszDuhhwhich is absolutely ridiculous
Police officers shouldn’t force dogs to do their dirty work if they’re so concerned about them. Otherwise, that’s the risk you run and if the dog dies it dies

That was intense and so was the state of that house!!!!!!

Crawl space temperature challenge? Haven’t heard of that one!
They would have shot him. K9s are considered police officers also.

Poor Leroy, hope he and that officers hand make a full recovery. Atleast Leroy got to chew on him a little.
I was so scared watching this. I was so concerned for the k9 pup and all of the cops. I'm glad everyone made it out alive and safe. I usually feel bad watching "violent" police takedowns, but he deserved everything he got and then some. He stabbed his girlfriend, assaulted the poor dog, terrorized and antagonized the cops, and even kicked an officer. He should have received at least a 10 years sentence. This man is clearly committed to being a menace.
That's attempted murder. should get at least 20 years imo
Tased and attacked by a dog can’t ask for more

I left a plate from dinner last night on my countertop over night and it bothered me so much. How can people live like this
Horrifying to see the squalor they live in. That’s some serious mental illness there. Frightening.
Whew, what a hellscape. AMAZING LEOs and K9. Can’t imagine the particulates they all breathed in.
Leroy is one awesome K9! Poor thing was a little confused in that absolute mess of a basement but he did his best! I love how Leroy was trained to listen to the command "quiet" and he'd instantly stop barking, that was really cool!
That’s was crazy! Also made me laugh when the cop asked what the other cop broke his hand on, and he said the suspect 😝
Uuuuuum, I was just marveling at the state of the house and then spotted a blue, intimate object just sitting proudly on a shelf 😂 5:00 really undercut the tone of the polic warnings with the dog for me.

Are you connecting hoarding with degenerate behavior? Actually sounds legitimate
Drugs are a hell of a thing
It’s literally a mental illness.
Long-term mental health crises are reflected in environmental neglect. There is a lot of untreated, ongoing sickness.
Heck of a hiding place. If not for the dog they may never have found him.
That was a pretty darn good spot.
There was a body cam footage I saw like a year ago of a guy that ran into someone else's house and found a similar spot to hide in... They had to tear gas him out... A cop wouldn't fit without taking off all his gear, it was tight.
There were not many places to hide... The dog helped to get him out... Otherwise he could have stayed there for hours... I think I would have waited for him to come out...
The officer grabbed the POS's arm, right on the dog bite. Beautiful!
😂😂😂
If he hurt that dog and I was there I do not want to say what I would do to him!
Well... That was intense!!!!!!!!!!!! A scary situation with all that trash lying about. Officers not being able to see the suspect clearly and sending the K9 into goodness knows what. Great job by all the officers. Much respect for not using lethal. Best of all was K9 Leroy getting his full intake of bork bork nom noms. I hope no officers were severely injured and that includes officer Leroy.
I love when the dog starts barking acting like a siren when the officer starts yelling commands letting Blake know that there really is a dog there, that’s one excited K-9 lol
Finally a sentence that matches the crime. The police should establish a Mink Squad to force suspects to vacate small, enclosed spaces like that.
The things you see when you don't have a flash/bang grenade.
@@ninjabearpress2574 with all that crap, a flashbang would set that place on fire...which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing...

K9's are not people.
I live within an hour of Decatur. It is an absolute shame how the local government has let the community fall apart. Health, mental health services and addiction treatment is not easy to get, and the treatment of the community is horrible even if you can get help. Until public services are made more available, we will keep seeing these problems in these communities. A decent shelter and employment programs go a LONG way when set up to BENEFIT THE COMMUNITY. DV is an epidemic, and victims will stay with their abusers unless they are given a safe way out. From personal experience, there is no safety here unless you have money. Healing vibes to all involved.
This is happening EVERYWHERE - not just Decatur. Ever since Congress/Reagan butchered the behavioral/mental health services budget at the federal level back in the '80s via the repeal of MHSA (Mental Health Systems Act of 1980) - with the states following suit in the years that followed, the result is what you see here & all across the country. The mentally-ill have almost nowhere to turn for help, end up homeless in many cases &/or are locked up in jail/prison where they receive zilch in terms of help with managing their illnesses. 100% fact.
no they need more prisons and longer sentences...quit making criminals into victims
@@LouiseStastny Not saying this idiot was a victim or anything but the U.S has the world's highest incarceration rate. We have so many jails/prisons in this country it isn't even funny. Longer sentences/stiffer punishments for breaking the law I can agree with. Our courts/jails/prisons are overcrowded. There's no perfect solution unfortunately...
@@LouiseStastny In no way, shape or form was I referring to Suspect. Im advocating for victims of Domestic Violence and commenting on the grosse lack of options or assistance of ANY kind being available to the public in this community. Sorry you feel that way, though, regardless.
