I have the same camera and set up but the one thing that I can’t get working is it says it doesn’t have access to take the photos I guess. Or access to the shutter button I forgot how it words it. But it prevents me from doing some thing like a Time-lapse. When I bought this, I took it out onto the field to make a video and boy did I end up not being able to use it. Lol.
I feel your $1000 investment pain. It's a technical nightmare with limited guide on proper set up that comes with it + when you try to set up the focus/zoom ring. WOW. What a pain. I did same thing and nothing recorded with timelapse and panoramic CRETE app mode. I'm trying different set up today with Zoom motor. When I get it to work, I'm going to make a video for everyone as it's a horrible experience when things don't work with new professional toys.
For the basic RSC2, I found that the only way I could get photo to work was to use the Micro cable, not the USB C and turn the A74 out of the video mode to the camera mode. It would not work with the USB-C as advertised. Also, I later found a DJI doc that states it only works with the Micro cable on the A7Iv. I returned the unit and am upgrading to the combo version although I’m not happy about the Micro cable issue. Now, I noticed the Mr. Webb used the Micro cable for the Raveneye. Any updates that you have discovered? Thanks
Honestly my fix was to connect the correct way that DJI tells you, but turn the camera on first before you turn anything else, and make sure to enable (shoot control) in the rave eye app. ie, the symbol next to the battery icon in the top right, and toggle the shoot option.
On the rs2 you don't need the one to the side with hdmi, its to goto the focus motor, not sure it does anything, also use usbc to usbc with a7iv for more features over usbc to multi
Your vid was a great help! Problem - I had on focus peaking and all focus peaking showed up in my vids! Crazy! I don’t know which setting I had on to cause such a thing. Never showed up on a vid before changing setting for the RE? Any ideas? Thanks
Still figuring out which gimbal i shoud get for my A7IV with 24/70 GM II . I like the compact size of the RSC2 and ofcourse the lower pricepoint. Just asking you if the RSC2 isn't to small for the size of the camera specially holding a bigger lens ? Just like your opinion about it?
It's been great and once u get the basics down to balance the gimble, any lens works within reason. My RSC2 is going with me for a run and gun law firm video shoots tomorrow. Oh and the charge holds amazingly! Stick to primes and have fun. The raven Eye could of been avoided as it is useful if you're willing to use it. I'd buy a good drone instead like new mini 3. ;)
Honestly I haven't been able to yet. My camera malfunctioned so sent the SonyA7iv back in last Friday. I'll try and get ISO controller and make a video on it. I gave up on the focus wheel dial as raven eye doesn't work with it.
@@gemwebb I mean to say what in-camera settings we are supposed to choose to connect raveneye and active track through it if any and also cable required to be used in each port along with the name of wires.
Hello! I have the same combo as you, the A7IV and the Sigma 14-24. Im evaluating purchasing the RSC2 but I'm still insecure about the weight. Also, what do you think about leaving the Reaveneye out. Since I shoot real estate i think I'm ok with the sony monitoring app, what do you think? I will appreciate your help, I will be purchasing a gimbal very soon.
I just sent my Sigma 14-24mm back due to weight. It was a cool art lens but if you're doing videography, I think wide lenses are for establishing shots. I got the Sony 20mm lens amzn.to/3K3ScrJ instead that is good for indoors and outdoors.
@@DeanReynoldsMusic Man, seriously this thing needs better instructions. lol I'm struggling today with attaching the FOCUS motor and it is changing the cable connection set ups and not working. Seems most people only do set up HOW TO VIDEOS with the focus motor alone. Did you get the FOCUS MOTOR to work with the Raveneye?
@gemwebb yeah I know... but I was disappointed to have so many cables with the raveneye, but this. Btw. I still don't have it working. Now, I am updating all the gear. Maybe that would help.

Make sure you are on the right WIFI network and turn Bluetooth off.

@@gemwebb Was de sigma 14-24 giving you any problem with the gimbal? I will use the lens with 60fps so It will be like 21-36 mm
Yes, sometimes at extreme angles of holding gimble and panning or tilting the weight of the lens would make the gimble flip out - literally.

have you tried switching the front cables on front of DJI(the far right and middle)? That got my tracking to work.
