Hello and thank you for checking out my video! In order for the Sony A7C to talk to the gimbal you need to enable PC Remote in the camera menu system here: MENU → (Network) → [Smartphone Connect] → [Smartphone Connection] → [Off]
MENU → (Network) → [Transfer/Remote] → [PC Remote Function] → [PC Remote] → [On]
Please help! My A7C is in place on my rsc2 but the record button will not work nor will the focus wheel! I’m sure I’ve done what you’ve said too

This has the best explanation I've seen as to the "why" when it comes to balancing the camera, in particular the emphasis on lining up the mass of the rig with each motor. I've been using a gimbal for a while now and basically winged it each time, dealing with the frustration, but this clarified things to a degree that connects everything for me. Great job!

I had to rebalance the gimbal 3 times, first the camera alone. Then I forgot that I had the raveneye, so i had to balance with it and then I remembered to focusmotor had to be balanced again. One good thing though at the third time I had no problem balancing it and the ronin app said everything works fine. So I am quite happy in the end. But yeah when someone has no clue it can be daunting.
WATCH THIS!!! I purchased my DJI RSC 2 today and I watched this video today too - I can walk away comfortably knowing how to assemble, calibrate, and manipulate modes from this video. Thank you, Jason! Proficiency will come with time/practice, but this video is where any new user needs to start. I will definitely mark this video to reference again.

I loved your tutorial. I could not figure how to even mount this thing with the manual. I almost gave up. This is better than the manual. The pacing and angles were great. I was truly a beginner.

1 mode I think DJI should add by default is the tilt follow.

Can you explain why? I have the rsc-2 combo, but can get the rs2 non combo for the same price. Was considering returning to upgrade

I’ve just bought one to film with a Nikon Z6 but the record button on the gimbal grip only works intermittently.

This was a great tutorial. No fancy transitions, no fancy video cuts, just a guy, a camera and a great explanation of the device. I Needed This. I thank you. Fyi in case you haven't noticed: photo shooting is not compatible with USB-C to USB-C connection. It has to be using USB-C to micro-USB cable which comes with the gimbal. That's why we're not able to shoot photos using A7C pairing with this gimbal as A7C doesn't have micro-USB port.
I'm wondering whether should upgrade my Ronin SC to this RSC2 after watching your comprehensive tutorial.

One of the best video tutorials I have seen on RUclips recently because it's so nicely done for the first time users.. Your video helped me decide to buy this rig. I got the pro version with Raveneye, and focus motor. Now that I’ve had it a few days, I’m back again to go through the various modes. The instructions that come with the gimbal, and the online ones from DJI leave much to be desired. You demystify this awesome rig, and I will keep this video saved for quick reference. One thing I want to explore is how it will work with my small shotgun mic. Once again, great job! BTW: I have it paired with a Canon R7. The DJI site doesn’t list the R7 as compatible yet, but it works fine. Just an FYI for others with the same camera.

Wonderful job of describing a very complex rig. I’ve been considering something like this from back in the Steadicam days. The compact size, smooth action, and flexibility of this rig at this price point is amazing. I love gadgets, and I’m like a moth drawn to the flame with this rig. Here’s another thing I’m going to have to explain to the wife…
I had my rsc2 for awhile now, but its always good to get some tips and refresh your memory on the settings and balancing ,it was refreshing to watch and even went through the settings and learned a thing or 2..ty!
