THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!! I just recently bought the DJI Ronin S2 and it seems like Rocket Science to learn this and all the parts. I've been working on it the past 3 days. You've made a super simple easy to follow video. Way better than the DJI website.
This is the most concise explanation of how to connect the RavenEye to the Ronin gimbal and a camera. The other tutorials omit some basic details that are helpful to know if you're trying to truly understand how everything works. I appreciate the care and time you took to make this. HUGE Thank you!
Thank you for the video! How is it possible that under the wifi SSID there is no password on my raven eye ? Is there an other possibility to find the password ?
Great video can you use the raven eye on your camera record video with active track without the app like just through your camera. This is new I have the rs3 pro
Hi I don't have an android a42 5g so don't know specifically looking at the app support www.dji.com/downloads/djiapp/dji-ronin it doesn't mention a42 is compatible
That's a great question! I don't know of a receiver but if you used the app on a phone or tablet and there was a way to get a HDMI signal from the phone/tablet into a camera switcher that might work? What do you think?
Hey please tell me i want to change a default password other peoples is connected in my gimbal i want to create a custom password please tell me guys 😩
from the manual "Press and hold to power on or off. Press six times to reset the default Wi-Fi password to 12345678 (the battery level indicators will blink three times when the password is successfully reset. A new password must be set in the Ronin app). Press and hold for 10 seconds to force shutdown" dl.djicdn.com/downloads/DJI_RS_2/DJI_Ronin_RavenEye_Image_Transmission_System_User_Guide_v1.0_en.pdf
You need to set the right settings for your camera - check this PDF from DJI to learn what to do for whatever camera you have: dl.djicdn.com/downloads/DJI_RS_2/RavenEye_Image_Transmission_System_and_Camera_Connections_and_Settings_en.pdf
This is what the DJI docs say: "6. Power Button Press and hold to power on or off. Press six times to reset the default Wi-Fi password to 12345678 (the battery level indicators will blink three times when the password is successfully reset. A new password must be set in the Ronin app)." [dl.djicdn.com/downloads/DJI_RS_2/DJI_Ronin_RavenEye_Image_Transmission_System_User_Guide_v1.0_en.pdf]

That makes me super happy to hear - glad I could help! Would be nice if DJI shared the vid so it could get to more people! :)

Does it work with RS3?
Really like your delivery Jason, thank you. I have the R/S 3 which I assume will be a similar setup?
Hi Alan & thanks so much for the kind words :) I believe the RS3 would be very similar setup but I don't have one to test
Thank you for the video! How is it possible that under the wifi SSID there is no password on my raven eye ? Is there an other possibility to find the password ?
Try a default password of 12345678. You an also try a reset - forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=226921&page=1#pid2564465
Very useful thanks!
Cool - glad it helped :)
Great video can you use the raven eye on your camera record video with active track without the app like just through your camera. This is new I have the rs3 pro
Hi Cade - I don't know as I don't have an RS3 Pro yet I'm afraid.
Excelent tutorial, thanks
Glad it was helpful Walter - thanks :)
Thanks truly appreciate it!. Would love to see the manual focus ring set up with the Sony as well 🙏🏻
Thanks :) Great idea for a future vid - thanks :)
Thanks for this!
You're welcome Darren :)
And how do you use the raveneye with the camera in an upright position?
Hi, I can't comment as I've never tried that I'm afraid :) :)
*You used to be able to charge the Raven Eye from the gimbal itself the new updates/firmware doesn't any idea how to do it now?*
Hmmm not sure - I need to look into this I think :)
i got to the part where you connected the Ronin app to the Raveneye??? I have a android a42 5g and dont see this setting anywhere???
Hi I don't have an android a42 5g so don't know specifically looking at the app support www.dji.com/downloads/djiapp/dji-ronin it doesn't mention a42 is compatible
nice work, thanks.
No problem Kelu 👍
Can we use active track without raveneye?
I don't think so - but I haven't tried.
can you take photos remotely?
Not sure, never tried, but I don't think so (you could try an app like Camrote to remote control your Sony camera)
is there any reciever for this raven eye so that i can connect the raven eye to a camera switcher in live events?
That's a great question! I don't know of a receiver but if you used the app on a phone or tablet and there was a way to get a HDMI signal from the phone/tablet into a camera switcher that might work? What do you think?
Why didn't you show what happens when you toggle between portrait and landscape in activetrack orientation?
I don't think that would have been relevant - do you think it would have been good to include it and not make the vid too long?
The manual and icons are very bad, thanks for this video
Haha - no worries - glad to help :) :)
What if my HDMI on my camera is on the right side
Hi Brett - you could see if you could get a right angle hdmi cable/adapter if a normal cable is getting in the way of a gimbal arm
Hey please tell me i want to change a default password other peoples is connected in my gimbal i want to create a custom password please tell me guys 😩

My phone screen turns black when I connect both cables
