Love the fact that you guys are real. You dont fake it. Good bad or indifferent. Down to earth anglers.
Hey its still always great to see some ta fishing. Can't win them all!
"Clear water muskies" lol welcome to my daily grind fellas 🤣 no problem finding fish...making them eat is a different story
I was up near Walker the same time as you. Trolled tons of stuff deep through the bait balls, cast on structure while my wife was pulling bass out of the shallows, cast on the humps out deep, tried bunches of lures - no luck this year.
Keep grinding Boys !
I live in Iowa and just had my first 2 muskie day of my life. A 33 1/2” and a 41”. The 41” was the biggest fish of my life. I bet it weighed 18-20lbs. Last year had a 41” in August and it was no where near the weight the one this 41” was. The one last year weighed id guess around 13 or 14 lbs
This was my June in Minnesota. Didn’t boat my first fish until the 6th of July
always fun to watch
Great fun regardless of fish boated or not 👍
I feel your pain. You were on em’ but the weather wasn’t cooperating. Need a barometer swing especially when it coincides with sunset and/or moon as you already know.
Hey lee any idea when the 8 inch pelagic swims will be back in stock??
You said it Lee, clear water Muskies
Keep up the grinde yall doing amazing work ❤❤❤
thank you
Wow .... some seriously picky Musky!
Weighted Crazy Glider. Get 6 to 10 with big swings. Caught some neutral suspended bigs on that.
Well, that's frustrating fishing. The muskies are still doing their part for the Department of Tourism.
Are those open water fish suspended off of some type of structure or are they primarily related to baitfish? In other words, where do you start looking for muskies in the basin?
Now I'm going to watch Ben Stone do the same basin fishing and I think he could even be on the same lake.
Both off structure and suspended food
@TodaysAngler Thanks, Lee or Robbie, whoever replied.
Was this lake in Itasca County by any chance?
Do you guys have have any issues with the line on the tranx stacking on one side of the reel. I have two tranx 400s they both do this. And many times I've hooked the line to a tree and ran it all out braid and backing and then reeled it back on straight so I know that ain't the problem just wondering if it's just me or not thanks guys.
Happens all the time. You have to keep the worm gear and pawl clean.
What they said 👆
If the line favors one side you can hold your thumb down tight on the spool then crank the handle and the line guide will move over and it will offset that line again.
@@TodaysAngler good advice!
WHERE ARE YOU GOING???
LOL HAHAHA
Or try a perch color lure yellow black and orange
when you are jerk/twitching they whay you are, do you get northern pike that way aswell?
Definitely
Yo ben stone tell me where your catching them open water fish.
I have multiple Shimano Curado 300s setup for big bass swimbaits. If I came up to Minnesota would
those work well for musky fishing ???
I would most likely be using 9ft St. Croix musky rod paired with it. Thoughts ? Anyone ?
Yeah that would work. If you don’t already have braid on it put 65 to 80LB line on with a 80LB fluorocarbon leader and you should be good to go.
@@alexwolgast3719 so do elite musky hunters use wire liters??? Or are you saying use a 80lb fluorocarbon instead?? How long? 12in? 18in?? I have multiple whopper plopper 190s, 6in-10in Huddleston swimbaits, large size bucktails.
Some guys do use wire leaders but most guys use fluorocarbon. Yeah all of those baits could work for musky.
@@alexwolgast3719 Why do people swear by using a wire liter?? Can big musky snap off heavy fluorocarbon??
@@bc5208I know it’s late but I wouldn’t use a 80lb fluoro leader 120# or up for fluoro, wire is a good choice as well and you don’t have to check it as often
There's good day's and then there's All the other days when the 2 angler's in the boat just rapid firing questions at each other searching in vain for a answer......aaaahh muskies.
It's frustrating when they don't do their part
stocked or natural fishery?
Not sure
I suspect those are two white Talons on the boat. I’m curious as to how you use them for muskie fishing; or if you use them for muskie fishing.
I either use them at the boat launch to keep stationary or more so down in the Florida Keys flats fishing the month of April.
6:11…..that’s what she said 😂😂😂
The land of 10,000 follows.
Come to st Clair!!!
We do
try red and black color
9:08 um ayo
Always structure
Not
Dudes fishing with jimmy from shameless
That lake is over fished and extremely under stocked. They are bait shy and that’s been consistent over the last 6/7 years Thanks to the MN DNR’s under stocking and removing adult fish and not telling the public. It’s very sad you should have seen it 10 years ago
12:15. That’s what she said
Dam that's frustrating when you get followers all day!makes you wanna hit them in the head with a boar ore!😂
