Your family is adorable. So glad you were able to stay there together. I've always dreamt of going to Hawk Lake, but the $750/night/person rate is way out of my price range. I just spent 7 nights fishing at Lost Island on Lac Seul. After cabin, gas, food, drinks, and bait we did it for $200/night/person. We like to cook our own food, so it's not a like for like comparison.
We also like to bring home our limit and Hawk is catch and release only.
Nothing wrong with live scope. Just because you see the fish doesn't mean they will bite.

So awesome!! Cherish these moments. Seems like yesterday that we took our kiddos to Northern MN for vacation. Now, they are adults. I am treating my son to his first Canadian fishing trip to Lac Seul in a little over a week. I’m super excited to experience it with him. Thanks for the great videos!

Personal best from those lakes was a 22" small mouth while guiding but there is a back lake( I won't disclose on here lol) that we had a 24" small mouth, absaloute tank!!!

Heading up to Seperation Lake Lodge at Hallie’s Camp end of July! Taking my family for the trophy walleyes, pike, and smallies! First Canada trip for me and I couldn’t be more pumped!! Any fishing advice? I’ve been in Minnesota my whole life fishing and living the day to day grind, but just wanted to know if there’s much of a difference in Canada when it comes to bait, tackle, techniques, ect. Been subscribed to you since day one and have watched Uncut since the beginning!! Keep up the great work Jay! Your videos put a smile on my face everytime!! God Bless!

jay have you ever been down in northern sask? theres a little lake by my camp called mcdonald lake and has some very nice walleye ranging between (6pounds to 12) only ranging them that sized bc ive caught a 11 pound walleye there and a family member caught a 12pounder there

Is hawk lake lodge as awesome as it’s said to be? What are the chances at a 30”+ walleye? Need to book a trip next summer and would love honest reviews from people that might have been there before
Hey Jay - do the automatic life jackets risk setting off in that level of rain you and your dad were fishing in?
They have a chalk tablet inside that needs to break from moisture before they inflate. I’ve had them inflate in extreme conditions. Not rain, but more so extended time in wet compartments.
