Great list as always. I bought the precon and found good luck with corpse harvester. Repeatable creature and swamp tutor is so valuable. And what is your opinion on undead alchemist? It makes tons of tokens but I feel like missing out on damage is too much of a downside. Thinking of swaping with wand of orcus.
It is a classic issue of splitting your focus (much like infect and regular damage). Wand of Orcus is 1.5 times as much mana investment, but keeps you pressing your damage plan. I vote Orcus
Although, the jank player in me wants to run Undead Alchemist and Altar of the Brood. Ooooooo! Wand of Orcus works with Altar too! The advantage is Altar let's you cheaply start removing pieces from a players plan very early in the game.
I see a lot of people running Gisa and Geralf for its reanimation. Since its not a zombie, do you think Havengul Lich is a worthy replacement for that effect? It costs one more, but can copy ETB effects
The same draw mechanic dungeon has the previous room: All opponents lose one life you gain one life. You will drain them out before you mill yourself out (hopefully).
Risen Executioner is possibly the worst zombie on your list. Just reading the card he seems great but he has been absolute crap everytime I've played him.
I don't see this being a good deck. I've reworked a wilhelt deck multiple times with different gameplans and this is not a successful one from what I've tested. Goals should be a zombie horde, chains and infinites
Wilhelt I think may arguably be the best precon commander. But the set up should be to make zombies, use wilhelts ability, buff them some, and then chains like rooftop storm and poppet stitcher, and then infinite combos like grave crawler, carrion feeder, acererak, etc
@@aktirimagic4405 that's where I'm having trouble my friend really only like playing casual so automatically I'm removing most if not all the tutors and going more into an aggro strategy/ stax . But I think he will get the uses out of his splinter twin and birthing pod. Since he got pod a couple months before it was banned 😭
Not since the 1800s, at latest, though, surely? I should think that the Great Vowel Shift would have changed wight's pronounciation from 'wɪt' to 'waɪt'.
Cool deck! Wilhelt is surprisingly versatile. I went with the aristocrats burn through token saccing approach
necroduality wold be such a synergistic card in this deck!

"ahh where's the button?!" - good arguments made for lesser known, or less popular, cards for Wilhelt. Very nice.
Ah! Thank you for watching to the end!!

Indeed, most people have less than 80 life at the time of combos
Great list and array of Zombies
Thank you! Let me know if there's a tribe you'd like covered!
Nice vid! I’m trying to make Varina commander now with all the new zombies.
Oooooo! I like the addition of white to the mix. You could play day of judgement and patriarch's bidding
Looks like I'm updating my zombie deck
Sweet! Always fun to try new cards 😁
Do you think you could make Scarab God the commander and it still be effective?
Oh absolutely. More times than not, he'd be better IMO.
Cool zombies. Also someone said you pronounced wight wrong but you didn't.
Aw thank you! I'll do my best to look up pronunciation in the future
Best draw card for this deck is Kindred Discovery.
Well that's a ridiculous card. Can't believe I've never seen it!
You can't target yourself with Feed the Swarm?
@@jamesmackes4531 you are correct. I need to find a replacement now.
@@RazielNightfall Kiora's Dismissal is a pet card of mine
@@jamesmackes4531 yes. That is a nice replacement. Thanks.

Thank you for the feedback!!
Noxious ghoul should be an auto add.
Ah!!! Dang, I simply can't remember everything. Thank you for reminding us!
No worries, only one I could think of that was obvious. Such a good unilateral whipe.
can you make a list from the deck ^^
Would love to, but I'm struggling to find time for this as it is. Maybe in the next months.

Most precons don't make it to cEDH tables. Maybe, Wilhelt is stuck at the casual table

Ghoulcaller Gisa needs to be in every zombie deck or you are doing it wrong...
very low power stuff here. fine for casual playing I guess
@dizzlegrizzle1919 yeah, most people are playing casual. I certainly recommend the PlayToWin podcast if you're looking for cEDH
Make a budget blood pod deck for casual play
Seems like a decent strategy, but I don't know how casual ANY blood Pod deck will be 😆

Wight is not pronounced (white) it’s pronounced (wit)
Roger that! Thanks for the correction!
@@aktirimagic4405 no problem I made that mistake for two years lol.
