One of my favorites is Noxious Ghoul, a great one sided board wipe
Absolute powerhouse in Wilhelt and basically any zombie build.
I have to say, of all the "zombies" listed as top 5, I only have one of those rated that high. Gravecrawler will always be the most important card in every zombie deck IMO so my Top 5 (not that anyone cares but I will list anyway)
1. Gravecrawler
2. Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver
3. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed
4. Undead Warchief
5. Noxious Ghoul (honestly there are several that could go here)
I'm with you, though Gary could absolutely make an argument to be top 5 for me as well.
throw rot hulk and sidisi on there and you have my buried alive with hulk, sidisi, mikeaues. its pretty much infinite tutors and repeating the loop with the right cards in your deck
My favorite little combo to do with Willhelt is with Poppet Stitcher/Poppet Factory.
Hammy cameo is great synergy and EDHREC approved

Just built Sidisi BT deck with a ton of recursion, salt, and infinite combos. Went against the grain and omitted Sol Ring, Undead Auger, and Zombie Apocalypse.
Wilhelt is nice, but personally, I prefer Varina. Access to white is a huge boon for a zombie deck, Approach of the Second Sun and Annointed Procession alone give you great options.
Was literally just thinking to myself what I could do to update and upgrade my zombie deck. Then I get a notification about good zombies. It must be a canon event
Gisa & Geralf also make a good zombie commander, despite not being a zombie.
Varina, Lich Queen! My first commander that I made a deck for.
Top spot is Gravecrawler and number 2 is Undead Augur. Varina, Gary, and Wilhelt can fight for the other 3 slots.
I think ghoulcaller gisa is pretty sweet. Shes got a simple effect but it does work in my ashnod deck when you double her triggers 🧟♀️
How can you forget soulless one especially for a zombie token deck
I have a question I have a dimir zombie deck but I use the scarab God as commander but I'm not sure if wilhelt is better than the scarab God.
Aceract lich lord and rooftop storm win the game. You infinitely go through the dungeon that’s gain 1 and opps lose 1.
Scarab God is certainly zombie-adjacent, if not an honorary zombie.
Gravecrawler should be number 1
