Wow WOW!! This is truly amazing. I was looking at artificial fruit as I am planning my Fall decorating. I also recently found that my florist can get these amazing coffee roses. They have such lovely shades of Fall.
WOW!!! Simple??? It's fabulous, John. Truly seasonal. If I thought using corn stalk/leaves I'd have told my husband to save them instead of composting!!! Absolutely love this!❤
Taylor Nelsen thank you! It’s good the corn - at thee d if the season you get the cobs, the stems, the leaves - and they are all great for using in designs!
AT first I thought the vase might be too tall but as usual, you make the arrangement looks spectacular!!! The color of the container almost changed as you added the different flowers and foliage. When you added the oranges the container just popped.
Beautiful and perfect colour combination of yellow, green and mustard. Reminds me of the books from Victorian eras when fruits were part of the flower arrangements. 🙏🏻♎
Lesley Kay we have some good Christmas ones planned - but we have plenty back videos - just search in our list and playlists! Thanks for watching 🙋🏼♂️😀
Stunning... You even make corn & solidago/ goldenrod look amazing! Iowa grown here; I love that you are able to create beauty from what you are able to harvest on your walks! Thank you, John & Janos! Stay safe & keep creating! 21:21 Monday 8 March, 2020.
WONDERFUL...so inspirational....I love the limited color palette and the abundance of shapes+texture..plus the mix of field/yard gathered material, commercial grown flowers...and fake fruit! We have Thanksgiving here in the US in November and I plan go on a hike with my daughters to collect material for our holidays table arrangements.
Loved it, specialy with The fruits that added more color. It would look beautiful placed in a, Island kitchen 🤗 thankyou for sharing your work and talents.
Stunning! Great to have seen you using the corn leaves - as always informative and educational. Seeds sown for beautiful arrangement ideas I couldn’t have come up with before seeing the video.
Thank you so much John, I really really love 💕 this arrangement, especially the container. You make it look effortless you really really do. I really really appreciate your time and effort too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Loving this arrangement. My gosh if i lived near you id have you as my florist including my whanau and friends. You are such an amazing flirist - all day everyday 1hundy. Best wishes to you and your beautiful blooms. ❤🌹🌺🧡
Wowzer! This is a stunner, John. Your choice of materials is outstanding and goes far to proclaim Fall. And that vase is so ugly it is beautiful - working well to carry the weight of the arrangement and the theme! You are brilliant!
stepps511 I’m good with flowers but not other things! Yes, I love this vase now, but when I first saw it I wasn’t sure. But with the right materials......🍂🍁
Absolutely beautiful John, I love the height and fullness! I love love love the arrangement and how stunning is the corn leaves. So well presented as always 💕
How do you do it!? Every time I think you can’t beat that...what do you do, you go and create another masterpiece! I absolutely love it. I’ve never used the fake fruit but they are so good aren’t they. I think it’s time I changed my thinking meth8nks 😘 Thank you both xxx
A very interesting design. I didn't like it at first; but then you started putting "yellow" into it and suddenly it became my favorite. My GO TO color is YELLOW! Watching your videos, I'm not quite sure how you decide how many of each piece you're going to use. Do you draw the design on paper first or in your head; or do you just look at the materials you have and then just design as you go??
George Garcia thank you! Yes, people approach flowers in different ways. You are right it’s the second approach - the container sets the scale and the materials show me how best to use them. Other people like to plan and design on paper - it’s what suits you best. I think my approach allows for flexibility and spontaneity ( I hope ). And you can’t beat yellow - it’s so positive and happy! 😀🙋🏼♂️
I'm absolutely smitten... Gorgeous !! One of my favorites by you. Question: I love working with Oasis Foam when making my floral arrangements. However, some florists are saying that it's not organic and it's toxic.. And we should stay away from. How do you feel about that John ?
Thank you so much. 😀 It is true - the normal floral foam doesn’t degrade so bad for the environment. How do I feel - well I think of the drinks industry and they are by far the biggest producer of plastic, so overall we start with the biggest areas first. However, it’s great the industry is aware and looking for solutions. Oasis now have a foam that is 50% biodegradable and there is a new fibre base coming out this spring - so as an industry we are being very proactive in looking for alternatives! So it’s good to keep an open mind for options - but foam as a product is so easy and does allow the creation of designs that defy gravity 😀🙋🏼♂️
@@FlowerJoos Thank you for your great info. Very much appreciated ! I will look out for the biodegradable foam. Hope it’ll be as easy to work with. Have a great week, and stay safe out there.
Hi John and Janus. This arrangement is gorgeous. I was thinking it could be placed in a pumpkin as vase if you didn't want the height--depending on what you are using it for. Just gorgeous. I'm curious. Why has your "set" changed?
Lynne McNab yes, that’s a good idea, and as you say it makes it lower which might suit a different situation. Our set is different as I have moved house and now have this space which is ideal as a studio. It keeps it cleaner and clearer I hope? Do you like it?
Sharon Reed we had this fruit for a long time at work, and used it again and again for displays. It was from a company called Brittania direct in the U.K. I am not sure if they would still have the same make, but worth having a look. It is really lifelike.
Very pretty

I love the size of it, and the fruit. And the color the vase is amazing. I would feel too guilty using real fruit so I would use artificial myself.
