Great job!
How about velcro for the utility cupboards? Just a thought...
I love all the work you've put into the old gal! Xo
Got our shirts - love the design.
You could always turn those 2 undersized curtains into a pair of draw close privacy curtains to cover your sleep area?
Them being too short for your windows would still work for your sleep area, because they’d only show your mattress, so still allowing air ventilation for both you and the underneath of your mattress?
1. Take that foam piece you cut off the mattress and sew a piece of fabric around it (perfection won’t matter) and put it at the foot of the bed for Eric’s long legs.
2. It’s nice to see the old horse (goat?) mask reference make an appearance again! Glad to see the OG Matt make occasional appearances.
🎃 Happy Halloween, guys 👻
Personally, I wouldn't put any handles on those stair cabinets. You seem to be able to open them just fine, and they look super clean. They're almost "secret" in fact. No-one will ever know there's anything in there!
I agree, it looks better this way. Also, you're probably (hopefully) not going to need to open those cabinets very often at all, so convenient handles are probably not really necessary.
At most I'd look at using a router to make a sunken handle in the end of the door, but they're certainly more than fine without handles and anything that sticks out will disrupt the lines and be more frustrating than helpful
Totally agree
Yeah I'd leave them ''clean'' too.
I agree. No handles
Put those two panels together then it will cover the window and have enough fabric to open from the middle.
If they are the largest pair they can probably be cut down for other windows. The loss of width likely due to the folds/seams. Should have offered them up after the pinning stage.
Definitely use them somewhere. No sense in taking them apart.
I was also thinking that! Or they could add a decorative band on each end to extend the length.
Wow! You two should be very proud of your accomplishments; you’ve done a great job. You tackled projects that most others would run from. I hope you enjoy the heck out of it!
Agree. Use the 2 panels on one window. Or add velcro to the outer edges to make them fit snuggly. I LOVE how Clementine has turned out. She's one of a kind and a true beauty. I really like the sunburst w the mirror 🪞. Perfect touch 👌
For the doors - recess an area on the side edge of the door or drill a finger hole. No handles to catch feet on.
Suggest- have the curtains made. You need to have about 2x the length of fabric that you had for that window and have 2 per window to sit better when opened.
Curtains should be 2-3x wider than the window so you have a ample gather and a couple inches overlap over frame so you have ultimate privacy. It looks more expensive to.(and kinda is because you’re using more fabric)
That Eric and Alison don't hide their mistakes just adds to the enjoyment of watching these videos. Well done for completing Clementine's restoration, rather makes me think of how much the whole Endless Adventure has "restored" Eric and Alison - they have grown so much over the past six years . Eric saying "pisses me off" was very British sounding.
Allison, a marathon is 26.2miles long. The last 1.2 miles are THE longest!!!
I can believe how happy I am to see your amazingly beautiful RV finished. Unbelievable what you two have done.
Y'ALL. It looks SO good! You seriously did a great job. Can't wait to watch all of your Clementine adventures!!
Y’all should be really proud of everything you did to make this happen! No experience and you just barged ahead, it’s a real inspiration to me! Wanna help me build a tiny house? 😂
I’m so invested in this RV 😂 almost like it’s my own
VELCRO STRAPS attached to the chair legs on the wall side will keep the chairs secure while traveling. Also make sure you have a few BUBBLE WRAP sheets to place in between pans, dishes, etc. to keep from rattling.
Felt would work for the pans and pots, too.
I’m proud of you taking on sewing. You made a common beginner error (not measuring the hem) but that’s how you learn! Rock on! Love Clementine, she’s adorable!
Clementine looks beautiful! Congratulations and enjoy your first trip with her!
You guys learning new skills together is just so awesome.
Cool to see Clementine almost finished! She looks good and you two should be real proud! Happy Travels!
Thanks!
I’ve been following you guys right from the beginning, but really, has it been six years? Where does the time go. Clementine looks amazing and so she should after all the hard work you have put into her, I have so enjoyed the whole renovation and on top of that, Matt made an appearance !!! Just can’t understand why you guys haven’t hit 1000,000 subscribers, you so deserve it. Looking forward to your “first” road trip in Clementine. X
I’ve used seam tape for years. It helps to use a damp press cloth draped over the area as you iron it. Really aids getting the glue to adhere.
Suggestion, refrain from putting a handle that juts out. To easy to bump into. Try a leather tab, or just drill a 1 1/2” hole as a door pull. The coach looks great. To secure the chairs, a long bungee cord from one side of desk to the other will work.
Rule of thumb when cutting/sewing panels (well anything really): add 1/2” all around to allow for a 1/4” seam allowance (and any wobbly cuts) when finished.
Well as a quilter you did a fantastic job, as for your curtains being too short you could go pick up a contrasting fabric and add to the bottom, or use the same colour fabric and just add a sew line all the way around to give it a little frame look.
What a big difference with the decorating. Looks really cute and larger.
Wow Clementine looks sooo comfy and cozy with all the soft furnishings. Well well done you guys, your hard work has definitely paid off big time. Safe travels.
Love how clean the cabinets look with the newly installed doors, but would also love to see some more of Allison's artistic decor installs and that's a great little canvas area for it. Clementine is looking like a total beauty now, great work you two!
You two have done a great job on Clementine. She's beautiful!
I’m so proud of the sewing capability of your hubby Allison. You have the perfect machine to use. And those hems are amazing for a beginner. Your mistake was probably that you didn’t include the seam adjustment. Also you can avoid messing up the doors by keeping shoes off in the RV and that will keep it from getting very dirty as well
Fantastic home on wheels guys. Happy endless adventure. 👍🥰
What an amazing transformation. The mirror, the couch, the door hinges, the bathroom door.. it's all coming together! I'm so excited for y'all!!
Brilliant. So many great films of you fixing up Clementine. Good luck and fair weather on your travels.
Congrats!! Clementine looks beautiful! Enjoy your first trip out with her.
It looks amazing! Of course I can't see it close up, but then if I could, I wouldn't say anything because it would be impolite & most likely wouldn't know whatever "it" is, is done incorrectly. I only judge when buying/paying big bucks from "professionals" who should know what they're doing.
I use the floor often when sewing large items, usually for the layout of patterns & cutting out. I definitely used it when sewing our living room curtains. Sweep & clean first-before the cat/dog/pet walks across your fabric. As long as you can follow the guide marks on the sewing plate, you can sew a straight line & curtains are usually straight lines.
You guys are nutty with that ending! And I'm here for it! Congrats on all your hard work. Clementine looks amazing.
On the utility doors... put the hinges on the top to allow the door to hang down. The door will swing out and up to open, but there is more room that way.
Wonderful...The panel with the mirror is just plain beautiful... as are the the stairs up to the bed. Great job! x
Buy some burnt orange fabric and sew on a strip on both sides to extend the curtains while adding a pop of color
Your motorhome looks beautiful! Don't throw out the cut off pieces from your mattress, cut them to size to use as arm rests on the ends of your couch. It looks like you still have plenty of the couch fabric to make matching covers for them. Sew magnets into the outside seams of your curtains while making them so the curtains hold against the window frames and block side gaps for more privacy. They will also swing less while in motion and block light better. For my curtains, I bought them off Amazon (I chose room darkening that feel like suede but are water resistant and wipe clean) and hemmed them to the sizes I needed...such a time saver and they look great! Also, for coat and blanket storage, buy square zippered pillow covers and stuff your down blankets and coats in them. They make great pillows and free up your cabinet space for other stuff. You could use the matching fabric to make the pillows too. On your step cabinet doors, I would drill a finger hole or use a leather pull tab. I would put them only about two inches in from the opening edge. Whatever you choose, make sure it doesn't catch your clothing or scratches you when passing by or using the steps. Am looking forward to seeing how the first trip goes!
Suggestion: Use Velcro in place of the hinges (quick and easy). No hinge clearance issues, and you can still remove the doors to access the compartment.
Congratulations Team. She is beautiful. Thank you for taking me on your journey. Ron
You two are awesome and work together so well. Thanks for keeping with it and showing us all that good things can happen.
you can save those curtains by reducing the hem (making it thinner) all can be fixed in sewing
She looks AMAZING!!! So happy for you guys! Nice to see Matt again.
Yippee to a bathroom door and a first trip. Enjoy and thanks for sharing.
Great job! You’ve really transformed the old trailer into a gorgeous, modern looking home on wheels!
WOW guys, she's beautiful! What a great journey you've taken us on. Thank you and best wishes!
the door with the mirror sun is, indeed, awesome and that RV, is all great, like an apartment...
You’ve done such beautiful work! You can throw the chairs in the bed while traveling. So impressed.also curtains are typically twice the width of the window.
I really seriously thought this day would never come but I am so happy for you guys - it looks beautiful and super comfy! Get some nice trim from the fabric store and just sew that on the ends of the blackout curtains and that will fix it. Have fun on your first adventure!!!
Magnet or clips for the battery door. Much smaller profile and just need a small top pulls to open the door then. Still almost hidden and you don't have to rebuild or move anything.
I'm so excited for you guys to finally take your girl on the road!! What a huge labor of love! I can't wait to see your road trip vlogs. :)
Wowzy Wow Wow Wow!
Holy cow y'all, Miss Clementine looks gorgeous! 🍊😉🥰
Thanks for the shock and awe and the exciting laugh at the end!! You wild kids are the Best!! More please!!
You can cut the curtains in half, and make two new ones so that it fits. Then you can put them on rods and slide them open and closed. When open you can tie them off. Also I wouldn't put a handles on the stairs looks good plain but if you really want a handle how bout a leather strap handle. May not take up a lot of space and you guys can keep the clean look and less likely to hit it with your foot.
Seamless tape is awesome! 😃 to see the finished product. You both did a amazing job and bonus didn’t kill each other during the process 😂. True ❤️ and a little alcohol 🍷 definitely keeps you going. Excited to see your girl on the road.
26.2 guys..) marathon
This renovation has been a marathon for you both but moving in will feel like getting that medal at the end of a marathon.
Huge congratulations! Clementine looks amazing - you've completely rejuvenated her. What a journey it's been... and bravo on all the new skills acquired (or still acquiring with the sewing!).
We took out the couch in our motorhome and added a bar table just like yours, we do not have a bed over our cab area so we converted the table to our bed which is directly across from the bar table and love the changes, it is so much more convenient.
Congratulations on moving into Clementine 💥🎉🎊🌋💯 Also on 6 years on RUclips I know there's finishing touches but now The Endless Adventure can go on the road in her Oh hi 👋 to GOAT aka Matt Boyd
Wow, such an amazing job! Really looking forward to seeing the last few final touches you make to this fine lady
A standard frameless concealed cup hinge would have done exactly what you wanted with those doors that have no clearance. I actually went and checked mine when you said you couldn’t find any that would handle that tight gap because I suddenly wondered what I was missing. I redid my kitchen myself, so I’ve had a lot of hinge experience at this point. Frameless uppers with full overlay doors cabinets are often side by side with no clearance. The doors sort of rotate in place.
Excellent! Congratulations you guys! You did an awesome job on Clementine!!!! Hooray!
Sooooooo happy for you guys!! Clementine is so beautiful inside and out. You guys did an amazing job
Great job. I would buy the curtains. Less trouble!! Happy travels!!
For the chairs you could probably just put metal loops under the table and hook bungee cords to them around the chairs before you pull out
Well done, and Congratulations on your first home...
Built with love!
If you get some decorative fabric trim to sew around your too short curtains, they will then fit fine.
You both did a great job! For how old this rig is you gave her a new lease on life! Great work
Clementine looks so good! Love everything you guys chose along this journey. So happy for you that you finally get to take her on the road. Looking forward to watching your adventures. Congrats Allison & Eric!
I cannot wait for new content. Thank you for showing us all the struggles you had and also better moments. Sending you my love from Germany, stay healthy ❤️
Aw, let us sponsor you with our blackout sleep masks so you won’t need to worry about those blackout curtains! Please let us know how to get in touch.
yesss I am drinking a high noon as I watch this! and I love the vintage mirror touch on the awesome door it is immaculate!!!
Add one or both of the cushion colours in thin panels at the edges of the blinds, just add on edges. Done!
It looks fantastic!! Going on the first outing will be epic and most of all memorable. All the hard work paid off in putting Clementine back on the road again with new adventures. Great job.
Ahhhhhh!! You guys are amazing!! Congratulations on completing Clementine!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
They make a clip that you can use for that bottom door. Put two or four clips. No hinges just pops in and out.
with all the stuff in, Clementine look soo cozy 😍
She looks amazing! The steps work well. I was thinking Velcro strips would hold the step fronts in place since you won’t need to access it frequently, but the piano hinge/magnets work well, too. Love the color choices...the door with sun rays and mirror is perfect! I love that you can see it from the entry door! Congratulations!!! Awesome work! I have thoroughly enjoyed the entire ride. Can’t wait to see the video from your project out west. I’m excited to see where you’re headed to this weekend. Thanks for continuing to bring us along. See you soon. You should be ridiculously proud of yourselves....AMAZING WORK,!!! Sleep well...you deserve it!❤️🙏🏻from SC, Jane
Congratulations guys, Clementine look so cool! Excited to see you down the road!!
Well done, guys! Clementine looks amazing!!!
How exciting! Congratulations, we really admire your perseverance throughout this process/ challenge and adventure! :)
Thank you so much!! We can't believe we're finally here. It took forever to build it back and then it all came together in just one morning, crazy!!
yes what they said, you guys have done everything so well!! We have been continually impressed!
Use a curtain rod and use two panels for one window
YESSSS! Looks so good my dudes! that custom couch is fantastic, I love how streamlined it is. Super Fresh :)
Right?! The couch turned out even better than we imagined 😍 🛋
For first time curtain sewing you did great. Maybe you could use them together on the biggest window, maybe the one behind the couch? Did you guys think about saving the piece you cut off from the side of the mattress to use at the foot where that gap is?? The stairs look great and if the side hinge doesn't work could you do a top one? I think you shouldn't worry about any kind of pull on the stairs they look great as is.
How about some contrasting trim for those window coverings? You could sew on trim on both sides to give you extra coverage! Or to save money just trim it with the material you already have. You guys have been doing a great job!
Omg the day is finally here! Great work you two - Clementine looks amazing! 😍
I really like the couch and table by the windows! It does have a very homey feel to it!
Wow. Absolutely STELLAR work, you two!! I've been following your RV reno journey this entire time and gosh, I'm so proud of you guys :-') Looks AMAZING!!!
I would just install some valence curtains for now and worry about making custom curtains later. They may not be blackout, but at least the windows will be covered for privacy. I definitely understand the frustration. You'll get Ms. Clementine up and running soon. I believe in you!
Oh my goodness almost DONE! The best Vlogging journey ever!
Oooh y'all! Clementine is looking so good and cozy! 😍
Looks great! You guys are so fun, funny, clever and multi-talented! Have sooo missed seeing you!
What wonderful job of perseverance. Fantastic!
“I’m pretty sure” as you might say, that all of us who have traveled with you thus far on your journey are as breathless with anticipation as you are. The truth of the matter regarding me is that I am small weeping tears of joy already. Really! Likely I’m going to be sobbing during your first on the road with Clementine. I’m married to a Swedish man and guess what his favorite American folksong is? Yup. “Oh ma darling, oh ma darling, oh ma darling Clementine...” Tomorrow is Monday. I’ll be rushing to System Bolaget for a bottle of champagne so I may celebrate fully with you!
So excited to see you guys finally moving to your van. Can't wait to see your new journey with your van
After your trip, take care of those bits of unfinished business. The longer you live w/it as is, the harder it will be to get back into the handyman spirit. What you’ve accomplished is HUGE though! Looks wonderful and I hope it becomes a place of serenity for you. Congrats!
When you saw Clementine for the 1st time she was a diamond in the rough but now she is Sparkling! 🎀🎆🏆 sit back and savor all of your compliments ! Job well done!
Clementine is looking AMAZING well done both of you heres to lots of fun adventures 🙂👍
Take the hems off the sides and make the hem smaller / narrower on each of them. (For the long windows.)
Velcro top of curtain and run string each side, make a Roman blind!👍🏻
I was dying inside, until you read my mind on the piano hinge. Whew! That was really close!
Terrific job by terrific people. Love your attitude. 🚐🇨🇦👍
It’s crazy how much you learned and shared with us on this longer than planned adventure of van conversion. Safe travels as you begin to enjoy it!
