That's definitely a great point. It was one of the things I did really like the most about this one as opposed to our Navion 24D or the 24T. Having EASY access to everything (kitchen, bathroom and bed area) was really nice on travel days! -Katelyn
@@LeisureTravelers exactly. And the sofa bed seems comfortable. I would not take the cab over bunk but the low profile with higher mpg, more occc, and finally 2 better storage with nice door.

Oh WOW! Hi you two! What a GREAT tour of your new Winnebago 24R! Each year, Winnebago improves their models, making them even better. I love the way you guys present/explain each of the attributes….clear, visual and concise. I really do love the idea of a dedicated bedroom…the “R” is very much like the older “V” model, with the twin-to-king bed. With my bad back, though, I’d have difficulty accessing easily the hang-up wardrobes. As with all of the View/Navion models through the years, they’ve given a LOT of storage space! You can never have too much, but you can def have too little. That rear storage area is a real game changer…I wonder if our small-sized ebikes would fit in there?! In our Lucy, there’s really only two things I’d like to change: the terribly bumpy ride (even on the littlest bumpy road) and the shower size. It looks like the ride is very smooth in the “R”, but the shower, I think is a no go for us…Tim is 6’ 5”! All in all, I think I like this current one the best of the ones you’ve tried out. It is just beautiful! Please take care you two, drive safely and enjoy your life in travels, Love Ya, Virginia
@ hi. We have a 2016 Navion “M” model. It is the same as the “D” model Katelyn and Howard have had as their home on wheels…rear full bath with large wardrobe. Husband is able to stand up fully in shower. Same large kitchen as K and H’s original one. Only real difference is that the dinette and bed areas are switched. Our’s has a fold-and-tumble sofa-to-queen bed behind the driver’s seat, and the dinette is in rear portion against the wall to the bathroom. H and K’s is a fold down Murphy bed in the rear portion and the dinette forward behind the driver’s seat. Both have a full wall side, whereas all the other models have smaller slides for the dining area. I LOVE my kitchen counter space and all of the cabinets and drawers, and the large dedicated pantry. WHY DON’T YOU GOOGLE the 2016 Navion “M” and the 2019 (H&K’s) “D” model’s floorplans. It should pop right up. Hope this helps!
Great video and great new ideas. We like this more than the EKKO. We currently have a Winnebago Class B that we love. The best part is the new bedroom layout and bathroom with shower/toilet separate. Looks like that costs you some kitchen space. Keep up the great work!
Winnebago should build the view/Navion on the latest 4500 chassis, they have increase the curb weight recently and GVWR is 12125 lbs. They changed the curb weight restriction from 9,300 lbs to 11,373 lbs. This would allows to propose more cargo and the AWD low profile would become more usable and the RWD would have plenty of cargo capacity. Maybe for the 2026 model ? Winnebago ?
You do such a great job! That diesel fill is very cool. Awesome interior & I’m quite blown away with all of the electrical components. And putting the refrigerator next to the couch? So well thought out! 🍺
Winnebago should do the 24R with the 4500 Mercedes Sprinter chassis recently updated with bigger minimum Curb weight, and 12125 lbs GVWR which would bring 1800-2200 lbs occc.
I can't wait to see which model you pick. ☺You two are very thorough but show things moving along smoothly, I never get bored with you guys. Woof to the tribe you travel with😘 I want the R as I love this plan. I'm loving the 3 separate areas with the doors. What else did I learn? 🤔 Off to watch the connect video. Cheers and safe travels.
Great video!!! Always love seeing your precious pups ❤ Can’t wait to see which Rv is your fav and what you both guessed would be your fav before ya’s started trying out the different models! I am currently in ocean city Maryland and I will be attending the Rv show here that starts Thursday ~ I hope to see ya all on the road one glorious day 👍😊
Super thanks for this re-View 24R !! This model is on my short list of 2. Trigger point for me is the Garage, twin beds and mostly battery pack with gen-delete. I would have liked a more detailed segment on that alone (as you did for Connect). At point, being able to dry camp 3-7 days relying on the sun and occasional 2nd gen on the diesel. This model is based on 3500 sprinter and would expect 1000# CCC I guess.
Awesome tour! Love how Winnebago has added some great new features like the large garage space and double door bathroom. Do you know if they will offer an optional dinette? Thanks for the shoutout with the magnet night light💡 Happy to see you enjoying it. Looking forward to seeing more videos of the new models! 🚐🥰♥️
Curious, with all your gear and stuff you have being full time RV'ing in the new 24R; have you ever weighed to see what you are at; and, how would you rate the handling with only around 700lbs. CCC that these come with?
Our RV has the same chassis and the adaptive cruise control is my absolute favorite thing in the world. It makes freeway driving so much more enjoyable! My only gripe about the chassis is that the screen isn't fully utilized for CarPlay. Seems weird the Mercedes and Apple can't fix that.
Dan, the four cylinder has been around for almost 10 years (just new to the cutaway chassis for B+/Cs), what sort of problems have you heard about? No issues in about 15,000 miles or so for us so far. 👍🏻 - Howard
Great video, again, as always! But you lost me at 6’2” shower and more importantly the 6’4” bed. I’m 6’4”. But the Murphy bed floor plan is still an option. :-)
Thanks so much, Chris! 🙂It has a lot of positives. While towing we were getting 14-16 mpg and 16-18 when not towing. Which is similar to what we were getting with the 6 cylinder.
I was thinking more for warranty work and curious of the few MB dealerships in Major cities, good luck if rural, how many have the ability to work or lift a motorhome.
@@danrandall794 Many work on and lift motorhomes. Understand.....Navions and Views have been sold for many years and there are probably 100's of 1000's of them in operation. Thanks for the review. My question is: when running on battery power, are there any problems running the A/C along with other electronics (i.e., microwave, induction cooktop, tv, etc)? Also, does the R turn off the induction cooktop when the microwave is on? This happens with the 24D even when connected to shore power.
Hi! Thanks so much for watching, it is a great rig! We showed it with the slid in during our moving in video. Here's the link. You can still access everything (kitchen, bathroom and bedroom) which is awesome! ruclips.net/video/1n33hTgSLY0/видео.htmlsi=BpBOukFt8iu2uyfx
That's a really good question and I don't think I really have a preference (as weird as that sounds). The T has an L shape and the fridge on the opposite side of the slide. Obviously the R has the fridge on the other side. The D is all one side... and I really don't mind either. I will say the R does have the least amount of overall counterspace, but I still found it adequate to cook plenty of meals. My favorite kitchens so far though are between the T & D. 🙂 -Katelyn
What do you do if your dry CAMPING and your batteries get low can you start the main engine and charge them up or do you have to drive it to charge them up?
Thanks so much for this. I am super interested in this model, depending on the final ccc. Like you, we are full time, but we’re used to our 38’ unit! I am confident we would have ample storage, but not sure about weight. Otherwise…other questions! 1) can you let us know the tank sizes, including diesel? 2) Do the front driver and passenger seats swivel to be at the right height for the cabin without using booster cushions?
Hey there! So glad you found the tour video helpful. It is a great unit with lots of positives! Yes - Diesel tank is 24.5 gallons, black tank is 47 gallons, gray tank is 46 gallons and fresh water is 35 gallons. You still need the booster to comfortably sit with the seats swiveled 😉 Hope that all helps! Let us know if you have any more questions, happy to help if we can. -Katelyn
We mentioned in the video, this coach didn't have a yellow sticker (listing the OCCC), and there are often changes to the carrying capacity anyways before production begins. I don't want to make a guess, particularly since it depends on the options you order for the coach (no overcab saves 125lbs, AWD chassis adds weight, etc). - Howard
So pretty. Love my Ekko but I wish it had the cabinets in bedroom. And the Connect is sweet! I really like this one. What is the IKEA name for your tray in the bedroom? Thanks!
Hi Nomads! We have the 2023D with the GREAT counter space. The 24T and Now this 24R have a kitchen I can barely tolerate when looking at them. The 24R DOES appear to try to address the space problem with that split sink cover and extension by the door. My question to you is: I know you have the D model as well. Is it worth giving up that Kitchen counter space? I do Like the Room separation in the R ALOT. I think having a place for some alone time is one of the big problems with the D Model and T Model. Thanks for the great review.....I have major Tech envy and that gear garage looks great.
Hey there! That's the challenge right?! 😂 They all have certain positives that we love based on our specific styles of travel. I will say that the way we travel and how much we like to cook, the R kitchen would be tough long term. But we did really enjoy having the back bedroom. So it just depends on what your priorities are. I think personally, in the moment, I would miss the counterspace. However, in the T, we measured and it was very comparable to the D. I didn't mind the T kitchen at all and actually really enjoyed cooking and preparing meals there. So it's a toss up currently on those 2 for me (just from a kitchen standpoint). And yes! Winnebago Connect and the gear garage... both game changers! Love them. -Katelyn
Nice review. You didn't mention why the propane stove if there is already an induction cooktop, and if the heating system is central and electric or just the same ol suburban propane furnace.
Thanks! I would think some still prefer a propane burner or want to conserve electricity (just two guesses) so they are giving you an option of either propane or induction. You're right, we missed the furnace on the R tour (we did mention it in the T tour), it's a Domestic propane furnace. Thanks for watching. 👍🏻 - Howard
First it is not AWD because it is a cab over bunk version and there won’t be AWD for that, but AWD is available with the Low profile version (2 additional storage with nice doors inside , more mpg and more roof size and 130 lbs more cargo capacity).
@ yes because the awd components takes 230 lbs, and there is the generator 121 lbs. This is why they don’t propose the 24T AWD with the cab over bed which takes an other 125 lbs+. I recommended on few video to Winnebago to use the 4500 chassis instead to provide an additional 1095 lbs. In this particular case you would have 692 + 1095 occc which would be very good.
@@alanswolf1 692 lbs. Another guy have seen 769 lbs for this awd so i think it has two batteries instead of one. Possibly as a batterie is around 77 lbs with the wire and fuse.
With the generator delete/ lithium option is there an auto start feature for the coach engine to recharge the batteries if needed when there is not enough sunlight for the solar chargers to recharge the batteries?
@@NewstateNomadsI caught part of the first half yesterday. At times they moved the ball well but fizzled out at times too. Eerily similar to my Wildcats. We really enjoyed the video. If you guys make it to or go through central KY, email me at my channel & maybe we could meet up for lunch somewhere.
This rv can be use as a car, i don’t see the need for a car. But eventually i would put a small 4x6 trailer to bring more cargo and reserving more the occc to bring occasionally a third person and reasonable amount of water. When you detach the trailer you get back the tongue weight on the campground and can leave it as a safe for few item.
😂 I would check a dealer's site for MSRP, but also remember the R is "recommended." Prices frequently vary between dealers on final price. Thanks for watching. 👍🏻 - Howard
Its great to see you guys again...Great review, as allways!!! i was looking into that same layout in another brand but I really liked the separate Bedroom with the twin to king conversion...and the separate Bedroom/bathroom/Living kitchen area!...easy to let the wife sleep in as I go the living room to work, get coffee and let the dogs out without disturbing the Mrs.!...we too have 3 dogs...not looking at living in the camper but mostly do Touring type travel...our dogs are labs!!...my question is how difficult do you think that would be in this 25 ft camper? I'm not wanting to go too big cause we like to go into towns and National parks and not have to stress about parking...but with the dogs, just curious how crazy that could be?
No doubt they have some great design features. Love the windows. Not much kitchen storage. I think it wouldn't be fun to full time in. I wouldn't buy one being on the Mercedes chassis, ever. They should move to the Ford Transit.
The bedroom cabinets on the rear wall should be removed so that you can sit up in the bed. The design of these class c sleeping quarters is abnormal. Sitting up in bed is more important and comforting to the experience, than two more ceiling cabinets. Way over-stuffed!! Very cramped unnecessarily. Remove the two rear ceiling cabinets --------
about time you copied the Ekko, which copied the European RVs. The rear beds with a stair and storage is the best. Totally blew it by not making the innovative bathroom/shower like the Ekko and European baths. Two is a waste of space you could have had for a closet. I do like the more storage above the beds.

But eventually i would put a small 4x6 trailer to bring more cargo and reserving more the occc to bring occasionally a third person and reasonable amount of water. When you detach the trailer you get back the tongue weight on the campground and can leave it as a safe for few item.
Anybody know how much this rig go for? An arm and a leg?😅
😂 I would check a dealer's site for MSRP, but also remember the R is "recommended." Prices frequently vary between dealers on final price. Thanks for watching. 👍🏻 - Howard
I wouldn’t want the tv in front of the sink.
I think my ecoboast trasit has more foot pounds of torque.
Elkhart In go look at Embassy's Cape Cod B+
I like it. Lots of lithium power. If only it were available in 4wd but it’s a nice Rv
Three dogs? Wow. $200k? Yikes.
With the generator delete/ lithium option is there an auto start feature for the coach engine to recharge the batteries if needed when there is not enough sunlight for the solar chargers to recharge the batteries?
Will you two be at the Florida RV SuperShow?
