That mini van story seem a little to tangable for you there Ben! lol. And the active ingredient in goat p is Creosote, it was originally used to treat rail ties and telephone poles to keep them from rotting in the soil
Question! Budget minded Saturday night racer in South Eastern WV. Most of our local tracks are river bottom, yellow clay with sand. Tires are burris ss33a's. Recommendations for washing, weekly prep and race day wipes. Thanks for your continued support and advice. 👍
He’s correct on the blue tire wash. Clean with water after on stand, spray some Blue tire wash on and clean well. As far as prep for the week that really depends on how aggressive you wanna be. Burris like SST one or two wipes beginning of the week and let set. At track wash tires as described the one wipe of Orange PRW is what I love for Burris.
Try that same thing on a Maxxis blue and I'll see you in the Winner's Circle the only downfall is. I used to use that same mixture but I did it with goat pee back in 2005 and I won a lot of races like that so I can only imagine how that combination would work using btgp
Hi Ben i am new to karting I bought some low lap Vega yellows and I have been trying to get them to get softer and I can’t seem to get them any softer than 45 what do you recommend to get them softer.
I usually only prep once internal. BUT if I were to reroll I might go a tick less then originally. Depends how soft or how much bite you want to add. For instance I’ve rolled 3oz R 1.5L. I might go 2 and 1 on a reroll. The chemical has already permeated the tread but a freshen might not hurt.
Question. My son is going to be racing in central Ohio starting may 6th. He’s only 4 so the class he will run rund predator 79cc with a red restrictor plate slowest of the slow…. Would a tire prep “come in” for something at these slower speeds?
I wouldn’t go crazy on a low Hp kart like that. If you want to experiment then PRW orange would be my suggestion. Come off track clean tires with water or blue tire wash then apply one coat of orange and try that.

I'm betting he'll say Track Tac Blue Tire Wash. It worked well for us washing tires when we were racing champ karts.

Goat and Red work extremely well together also. 😉

Yes thanks I'm using vega yellows
Should have said that.
Smells like success
Correct sir.
About how much of the mixture would you recommend for internal on vegas?
Aggressive 4oz Rights 2oz lefts.
Not aggressive but give bite 2oz and 1oz

Heat in between coats. Heat gun, hot box, sun, torch…. Heat tire apply prep and let dry, then repeat the process.
How much btgp do you recommend for a reroll

Hot lap product 1 2 and 3?
I’ve never seen three? Hotlap and HL2 are more common that I know of.
