I agree- some books are just for fun and don't need an intellectual analysis. But I do have a good time digging deep into some books too. The best of both worlds!

Good list of books and thanks for the recommendations.
I haven't watched either of the videos, but I still enjoyed hearing your point of view. I think once we get used to talking about books we find our own way of doing it and people will watch who enjoy that style. I know what you mean about expectations. But also, sometimes I give a book 5* which isn't as skillfully done as another that I gave 3* to, simply because it gave me more joy. And that's fine 😊

Yes exactly!! I think you’re right, you find your own style and those who vibe with that become your tribe. Thanks for stopping by Sarah ♥️

Ooh I never knew the word for when you flip a book before! Delighted to learn a new word today. What a gorgeous cover it has 😍 Oh I have definitely picked up books before because I listened to a review from someone who didn't like it but realised it sounded like my jam. I actually do think your reviews are already very thoughtful!

Thank you Sophie. You give really balanced and considered reviews so that means a lot. ♥️

I felt the same about The Phone Box At The Edge Of The World.
    Love Claire Keegan
Oh, that would be a shame about trigger warning. Sounds like they created something special.
The Dunn book was on my list because it's so weird sounding 😂 no clue when I'll finally get to it.

Ooh I’d love to hear what you think of Ella Minnow Pea. I’ve just finished it and thought it was brilliantly clever. Thank you so much for watching Katja ♥️

Oooh, what did you think of the new Joker? I'm intrigued and am considering going to see it.

Hmm very mixed feelings! I thought it was a bit meh until the very end! 😬 I’d be interested to hear what you think if you decide to see it.

The parts of booktube which are just blindly saying every book is good is also that parts of booktube which are paid by the publishers, the rest of us are fine I think.

Yeah I’m sure you’re right. Or at least those solely occupied with obtaining freebies. I mean who can blame them?! Free books! 😉
