njmevec yep, it is. I picked mine up from Rebel Off Road. It’s not unusual to see it as the “deal of the week” if you follow them on IG. It’s a pricey table but 100% worth it. I get compliments ALL the time and love not just how it looks but how versatile it is to use.
I know most of the comments on your videos are compliments of the jeeps & trails, but I just want to take a second to say cheers on being such an excellent filmmaker! I can only imagine how much effort the planning, filming, and editing take, and you seem to do it all effortlessly. Your channel could be a show on Netflix and I wouldn't think twice
My wife and I did 395 for 6 years starting in 1976 and inded up in Yosemite ,then mono lake, bodie & the gold country . We hit every dirt road that dident have a gate . All in a 2 wheel drive van . U haven't seen nothing yet . Keep up the great work
The last view point you were on was just north of dunderberg peak. The three lakes are east lake green lake and the falls come out of west lake into green lake. I have been packing into this area for over 45 years and been to this spot for this view many times. I have a 100 year old map of this area and all the old mining communities that you probably did not even know you drove through. I got the map from my grandfather who used to deliver fuel to green lake for the miners on a road that is now a trail to green lake. While hiking if you know what to look for you can make out the old road. I have often wanted to try to follow all of the old roads on this map. A ton of history here. Great video.
I live in Florida and just took delivery of a new Firecracker Red Gladiator Rubicon! I can now live vicariously through watching your videos and dream about heading west some day to get my Gladiator up in the mountains!
Next week on Trail Recon: "We walk around Marco's new Jeep Gladiator Rubicon!" Come on Marco, think of how large of a slide out kitchen area you could fit!
Brad, you got me hooked on your videos. Please make them longer! I know you got plenty of footage ;) Production is absolutely flawless. I cant imagine how many times you would have to stop, make u-turns, run back and forth just so we the audience are able to grasp what you are experiencing. Audio/visual is spot-on. Loving each individuals input, especially Marco, makes me hungry every time with his cookouts. Well done!! Looking forward to the next video.
Geez watching Marcos dinners makes me so damn hungry! Some of the best scenery up there. I spent a year working for BLM in Reno living out of my 5th wheel and drove up and down 395 e everyweekend. Truly is God's country
Just looking at your videos bring me peace. I told my VA Doc I see for PTSD, about the adventures and camping in Nature. With those scenic views. How this can help with my PTSD. Maybe I need to get away and connect with nature. Thank you for sharing your camping experiences.
While not an offroader/overlander myself, I do enjoy these videos of the adventures, the upgrades, outfiting, review of equipment etc. Aside from the good content, Brad's obvious enthusiasm adds to the viewing experience.
I had to replace a tire at Perez's a few years back. Great service and fair prices, and fast. I know this is just beyond Virginia Lakes, but maybe you could give us the coordinates. Thanks
I’ve been binge watching TrailRecon videos this past week and I freaking love these videos. Thank you for all the work you do on these. Such an inspiration and Marco is my favorite person in the world right now. What a great guy to put so much love into the food he makes for his friends. I think we’d all love to call Marco a friend. You guys are great.
I just found this channel this weekend and I am now hooked. I now have nothing but overlanding jeeps 🚙 on my Instagram feed. Thanks a lot. Now I’m gonna have to buy and build one.
@@Future-Preps35 but of course. But, I wonder how it goes off screen. Does Marco go in there aggressively and take the best spot, and everyone else is like damn Marco got the best spot again. Then they stew for a bit, and then decide to shut their mouths begrudgingly because they know he has good food coming.
You create some of the best videos on RUclips bro!!! And thank you for keeping them family friendly!!! I always know my kids can watch your videos with me. God bless brother.
Now, with the money Marco makes with his cookbook, he will be able to justify the Gladiator!! Another awesome video but still want to see some more of the old rig!!
Your channel has become one of my favorites here and as a bonus, I've showed your videos to my fiance and now she's starting to get interested in going offroad.
This is so cool! This is the first time I have seen Trail Recon. As a kid our family spent many vacations and hunting and fishing trips in the eastern side of the Sierras. I left California after college (40 yer ago) and moved to Alaska and as much as I love AK and will never move; there is something magical about the High Sierras. I think it’s time to take a road trip. Thanks for rekindling the memories.
You out did yourself on the last two videos, they're the best. The view at the Creek in Part 1, and the end of Part 2 with the waterfalls, is just absolutely magnificent. My wife doesn't understand the, "It's a Jeep Thing", or "Only in a Jeep", she's not a Jeep person, this may have sold it. Good job.
Hey Brad, I am probably your newest subscriber and just wanted to say "first off" THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. That is the first thing we have in common. I am a former Seabee from late seventies... I saw you from the spoiled kids with the "Litebright" jeep and thought I would go check out your channel! Can an older guy like me get out there on these adventures? Some of the places you go to are truly "EPIC"!!! I certainly enjoy watching you wondering if I should get myself a JEEP!!!🤔🤣🤣🤣 I've been watching you guy's for a couple of weeks now and can only imagine how great it is to be out there enjoying these great adventures and even more being around all the AMAZING folks and the food definitely seems like a truly AMAZING time! Thanks for sharing these GREAT ADVENTURES! I am a big fan! Congratulations on your new "GLADIATOR" Razor!
Cerro Gordo was suppose to be the last trail we explore during this adventure, but we'll just have to make another trip up there to visit it... hopefully no more flats in my future!
@@TrailRecon Its definitely worth it. Can be pretty challenging at times on the Swansea side going up, as well as the backside coming down by the Ghost Town. But the top overlooking Owens and Death Valley, along with the Saline Tramway, is probably my favorite camping spot in all of California. Protip: when you go by the tramway on the top, there is a small little house that caretakers stay in. I found out you can actually stay in the little house if you want, its wide open.
At 5:15 in the video, that is Green Creek Road. I live about a mile from the turnoff and have explored all of the roads up in that area. It is so cool seeing that other people, especially a group like this have explored some of the more difficult roads around Bridgeport! Love seeing this video, makes me want to go home and travel these roads again. Thank you TrailRecon for capturing the beauty of the area of which I call home.
I truly can't wait to get up north. I've this route planned for 2.5 years now. Every time we are about go something comes up and have end up canceling a couple of times. So looking forward!
What a wicked!! It's really amazing. The view is mesmerizing. You guys are so polite and your presentation is mindblowing. In the end, you guys are so lucky...
Thank you for posting these videos, I cant believe how much ive been missing ive driven all the paved roads around the areas for years. Never knowing just how much more there is to see. Now that ive finally bought a Jeep i cant wait to go explore.

I am a complete "noob" when it comes to off-roading, but I find that I am drawn to "Overdlanding" and not so much rock crawling. Looking to get a Gladiator and would love to hit some of the trails that I have been seeing in your videos. Thanks for making the videos. Subscribed.
PHENOMENAL 2 part series about your journey. Great content, incredible scenery / views & top notch production quality. Drone footage was exceptional. I can’t wait to see another adventure !!
Lots of memories on the 395!! Recognized the background right away, cant wait until i can take the tj out there!! Thanks for bringing a piece of ur adventure and sharing
We love your channel. It gives us a lot of ideas about what we can do when we get out of the city. These ideas will inspire our customers, and we’ll be pointing them in this direction. They’ll love your content, too! Keep going :)
I've enjoyed joining you and the guys, awesome. Wish I had been with you. Great video, lovely people and spectacular scenery. Wow. Keep em coming. Thank you. John. In in UK.
There is a very cool trail very near where you guys camped, it’s the old Dunderberg Mill ruins, the mill supplied lumber to Bodie back in the day. The trail and ruins are kind of hard to find but I think you guys went right by the trail. The coordinates for the mill are 38’ 05’06”N 119’15’25” W. The lake you camped at is called Ice Lake.
Ahhhh...Tonopah. I remember you well. This is where our roadtrip from St. Louis MO to Yosemite NP started to go wrong. My radiator cap gave up just on the other side of Tonopah. Limped back to find a NAPA parts store tgat Didn't have a cap for my 1999 Mitsu Eclipse. They did have one that with a razor knife and pliers, gave up its gasket to my old cap...which lasted about 700 more miles, then I towed the car the rest.
I’m a big fan of Randall Carlson, and I was curious if you knew about him and if so. Have you ever considered how some of that majestic terrain came to be. Also, who ever is complaining about your fancy cooking needs to be quiet. You guys should continue to enjoy every aspect of your travels. Thank you for this and all of your videos as I and others watch enjoy and love vicariously through you. Peace brother.
Stuka87 You’re exactly right. My family and I stay at the resort there just about every year. Virginia Lk’s is absolutely gorgeous. I believe the highest lake in his video might be Moat Lk. It’s a little bit of a hike to get to, but well worth it if you enjoy catching brookies.
There's a much shorter route to Kavanaugh Ridge from the Virginia Lakes Rd go north on Dunderburg Meadow Rd after you pass the cabins take the second road on your left. If you make a mistake the 1st road dead-ends pretty fast. I've been going up there for nearly 4 decades and I've never seen the no-name lake dry.
Brad love the video. Great shots of the Eastern Sierra. I wish I had a little more time to get out but life keeps getting in the way. I have one serious issue. Denny's? For real? I spend a lot of time rolling through Bishop on the way to Mammoth and Denny's is the emergency late night option. Start with Erick Schat's Bakery. Holy Smoke BBQ has fantastic brisket. El Ranchito, Amigos and Taqueria La Palmas are all very solid Mexican food options. I've got friends who swear by Mahogany Smoked Meats. Even Jack's is a good, local, middle of the road alternative to Denny's. Part of the adventure is trying something new so you know try something new!
Schat's can get very busy and I personally think it's somewhat overrated. I prefer Mahogany over Schat's. But both are miles better than Denny's. Shoot, lots of places in Bishop would be preferable to a Denny's, and you named several. But lunch choices in Bishop aside, that was a terrific video.
Just the best trip yet guys. Looks like a new camera maybe??? Such clear HD footage. That final destination is just stunning!!! Keep em coming and let us know when Marco gets his Gladiator.... Wink Wink...
Holy wow! I've had the national parks on my radar and lake Tahoe... but never thought about this area. My mom has always been telling me to explore around Bishop an Mammoth and I think I know why now. Please verify your JT is still stock suspension...??? Thank you for letting us all join in on your adventures. They're really fun!
