I died to this guy more than I died to the first headless ape fight... he is literally harder than some of the REAL bosses. Only saving grace is that you can run past him come back and cheese in a stealth deathblow to make it MUCH easier. did not think of using ichomonji though

Without any guides i managed to drop her second phase HP to half...Okay I decided that I need help so i found out about that sneak death blow. I believe im gonna get her now. Goddamn even Lady Butterfly didn't gave me so much trouble..
You should use ichimonji agenst her , and the other snake eyes " shirafuji " in ashina depth poison pool - i think that was the erea's name - 😂
shes actually incredibly easy once you parry her grab. master that and the fight is a joke.

Mortal Kombat is that game for me. I watch the pros fight all the time, but never play it. Sekiro, on the other hand, ive beat like 20x. Its amazing

Dude this boss is actually really cool because its a nod to Japans actual history. This guy was a ninja who speicalized in assassination, when ninja were used mostly of espionage and information gathering. But his weapon of choice was a rifle and is quite possibly the worlds first sniper. His story has a tragic end but definitely worth a read

It’s a Handgonne
The window for deflecting her gun shot is pretty small, but her attacks are fairly easy to deflect, I like to dodge and then jump in for a powerful posture damaging aerial combat art, then keep on beating on her to stop her posture recovery. I love that there is no best way to fight an enemy in this, but use the skills you've learned and choose what works best for you.
This entire snake level gives me some serious Archdragon Peak vibes

I hated this fight so much, i used a sneak death blow and cheesed it by spamming sabamiru 😂 the poison took a great deal of health from her, allowing me to parry her to death

I don't blame you, I did the same but I didn't know how to cheese her so I just fought her normally. The second time you face her in Ashina depths was annoying as hell though.

If you’re having trouble, I recommend going to other way (left) go to the bridge and then when the boss bar disappears, you go back and get a backstab on him to deplete one of her health bars. Use sabimaru also, and the umbrella also helps blocking the grab attacks.
That overhead charged slash is way more practical than those fancy (sliding/jumping/spinning) slashes that could punish you most of the time

The Gun Fortress and the entirety of the Okami clan is gonna be etched into my brain as one of the most memorable AND frightening things in a game.

Ever since I started the game, I've been going to the sunken valley. I played Sekiro without using any prosthetic tools/martial arts or ninjitsu (because I didn't know too mcuh about the gameplay). It took me a very long time to defeat him. I died more in front of him than against Genchiro

I actually found Sabimaru to be super effective against this guy. Died a few times then just randomly tried Sabimaru on him. Broke his posture within seconds.

I salute all the people who play this kinds of gameplay. Good thing i have a good pc and Mr.Antifun on my side lols..
i think people should cheat just to experience froms games :P course you should try to play it legit but if you need an edge to get by a boss to see the worlds and explore the lore, and sekiro is the most accessable from game by far story wise, there is a clear story laid out on top of the typical from world building and map making.

For me it’s Seven Ashina Spears, but Snake Eyes hit hard as hell. There’s a lot of room to screw up, even if the fight is pretty short.
@@michaelmannix1604 Seven Ashina Spears is easy, just bait him to do an attack and nab at its health. That's how I killed most of the hard bosses like the water ghost lady, the corrupted monk, and Waifu and Old Man with katana.
Nah bro just gotta pay attention to that posture bar ended up beating him first try (which never fucking happens).

Strange... I just beat her in a straight fight without the use of any tools or cheese. I just used ichimonji double, and parried all her attacks including the grab. What is strange about my experience is that it took a lot longer to break her posture. The fight took me 2-3 times as long as your fight. I wonder if they have increased her posture defense in a later update.
CHEESE strategy - noobest way to win
1) Go up the cliff on the left. Run halfway down the bridge so he resets.
2) Sneak attack him for half his health. This can be tricky as his back is nearly touching the cliff.
3) Poison. Just poison. And running away. And poison.

Nick Vranas If I’m being honest, I’ve done this with over half the minibosses! Lol people think the Longswordman is hard too but you can sneak attack him and make him fight you on stairs so that if you are on the lower step you can’t be hit by him at all.
Honestly... It is more pain in the ass than was Genchiro!!! I will try to fight it again today evening, but yesterday I've tried for 20-30 minutes... Maybe I was to impatient..??! But hergrabs attacks when you stuck on the rock behind were deadly! Will try with fresh mind today ;) And let know... I beat Genchiro so it is also perfectly possible! :P

@@GrowingCubster Uh, lore doesn't dictate what is a recycled fight and what isn't. By lore standards headless fights aren't recycled. By gameplay standards, they are. In this case, these sisters look the same, sound the same, and have the same moveset.
I wonder why so many people advise to use sabimaru with her (and the other snake eyes too). I know about the lore of both of these women is a descendant of Okami which very weak to sabimaru.
I use magnetic umbrella with projected force whenever she starts that grab attack or about to shoot me. It deals a lot of posture damage too. Especially when the run up to her, you are literally being shot by dozens of snipers. Using the umbrella and let them hit you could charge ur umbrella. By the time you reach her, just simply wait for the right moment to unleash that extra dmg from the accumulated charge then projected force her, deals very high vitality damage and also damage her posture surprisingly high.
It's just convenient. You sneak away and chip off that first health bar, then poison her (very easy) which is going to take away about a half of the remaining health bar. Then knock off the rest of her health in whichever method seems the best, including projected force as you suggest.
I underestimated this boss and lost a lot of gold because of it

She is easy. Just abuse the fire cracker and don't let her grab you. And don't forget to do a stealth attack before the fight.
It was a mistake to fight her early-on in the game...

I love seeing these videos because I realize how ass I am, I played sekiro BEFORE any other souls-like game and I used the mobility and jumping to accomplish everything.
When i go to play a soulsgame and all I can do is roll it's an instant uninstall for me, Then I see you just getting up in there and CHOPPIN.

No need to be a know-it-all, but you can still assassinate that asshole but you need a sugar which increases stealth and a latent (passive) ability that makes you more harder to detect, but I'm pretty with sugar it still works.
First you make her stand up then quickly run and climb up the wall that's on left of Buddha's face and hide till the mini boss meter has disappeared, if it doesn't, apply the stealth sugar or keep going forward a bit but not too much otherwise the gun fort starts firing at you. Once it disappears bite the stealth enhancing sugar and backstab her because she was standing up instead of sitting, but you don't have to apply it when your latent sneak is level 3 or 2, just stick yourself onto the wall behind you and keep shuffle until you see the red marker.
Don't forget, sabimaru works best too.
I haven't played Sekiro for 2 months, so I might be wrong. But give it a try

If you don't care about having a so-called "honorable fight" with Snake Eyes then just spam the Senpou kicks, it's almost a guaranteed win.
Senpou kicks?
Senpou flying kicks is part of the Senpou martial arts tree. You find the Senpou esoteric text at the very end of the temple, past the main hall, through the cave full of long-arms, and in a pagoda on a cliff. Senpou arts mostly keep your enemy from retaliating/knocking you out of your combo. Doesn’t work for every enemy, but it’s pretty handy. Haha, handy…
This game is so hard. I can not even complete the first hours but it looks so easy if someone elses play it :P
I was fighting this guy and fell to my death. But he also somehow fell from the cliff and I cleared this boss in 40 seconds. unfortunately lost a prayer bead

What level are your attacks? I'm trying to use this method but I just never have enough firecrackers. Even spacing them out as much as I can I am just not raising his stamina fast enough to complete the fight. I can get one deadly blow and maybe about 1/3 of his next bar but then I'm screwed.
He was parrying every single hit even that gun shot I think that builds it up quicker, correct me if I'm wrong.
Skill points in the combat trees lowers enemy posture faster. Basically, grind every skill point and the game is a hell of a lot easier.
Deflecting the gunshot doesn’t deal posture damage, it just mitigates your posture damage from the bullet.

For all those who have problems with this boss, you just have to spam attacks on him. only back down when the red rune occurs. I did this and the fight ends really fast.
idk man. i spam and one attack in particular(without the death sign) does not break when it starts.
I have at least 50 failed attempts with this guy. Still haven´t managed to beat him.

You can also cheat with him : let him stay at the platform above, and stay below against him. Keep hitting the feet when you have an opening and go back when he's going to fire. Easy.
you can use umbrella to deflect shots and just keep on pressing against her, when she deflects you, she will almost always do a kick then shoot at the end
i still dont understand how that works because the firecrackers only supposed to work on beasts, kinda doesnt make sense since these arent beast but anyway, cool
Works "better" (i.e longer) on beast it still stuns I think almost every enemy in the game long enough to get a free hit in.
I got molested by that grab attack so many times it wasn't even funny, at least not at the time 😂🤣

That grapple is the most broken thing in the game. Also it’s not really a tutorial when you’re way overlevelled
He is not over leveled he just probably decided to do Ashena Depths and Senpou Temple first.

For anyone having a hard time with this:
- You can get a stealth deathblow
- You have to be super aggressive. Don't give her room to breathe.
- Try going for hit - hit - parry. A perfect deflect will frequently cut her combo most of the time, and going for this combo guarantees one most of the time. Keep an eye out for the grab and the backstep gunshot.
- You can parry the backstep gunshot, but it's not worth the risk honestly. It would be better if you just dodge and close the distance.
- Jump and hold right when she does the grab. You'll end up on the side of her that's exposed, giving you a good one or two hits.
- Firecracker prosthetic. Good stun.

When I first encountered this thing I got it to a sliver of health, on the last deathblow, then out of no where a bullet flys in and kills me. I had to take a quick 4 sec break because I was so mad.

I know I’m in the minority, but my favorite prosthetic is the umbrella. It deals massive posture damage when timed right, it has a decent blade combo, it keeps you safe, and it has upgrades for negating fire and terror buildup. It takes turtling to a whole new level.
Yeah the umbrella is good for very specific fights like O'rin and the Centipede, and later on the Headless. But overall, firecrackers are the only thing I use on a consistent basis throughout the game. The attacking ones are kinda disappointing.
True. Axe and spear would have been so much more viable if you didn’t have to worry about spirit emblems. It’s not like they’re super overpowered or anything. I don’t think I ever used the flame or lazulite axe, despite how cool they look, and I hardly get to use the flame vent. Shuriken are still really good for knocking distant enemies out of certain attacks (like Snake Eye’s cannon shot), then using chasing slice to maintain pressure. But that’s about it. Maybe I need to experiment more.
Their all are pretty useful for certain situations, but the raven thing is probably the only one that's less useful.

Hands down the most dogshit boss design I've encountered in the game so far. You go from this intense as fuck battle with a master samurai that's 3 phases long atop a castle to this lame POS who has massive hit boxes and can easily 2 shot you. Aggressively bad enemy design
Disappointed by how many recycled bosses there are.
Most of them are mini bosses. Boss fights hasn't even finished half of the main bosses yet
Doesn't matter, there is no way that's acceptable in a game were the focus clearly lays on these mini bosses. Not even changing their color scheme or make the second encounter an undead version is especially lazy.
Also you fight the headless ape twice, 3 times if you consider in the second fight they drop in another ape for no reason.
Why did you bring up Dark Souls 3? I was talking about Sekiro.
