    Here here!!!! Yeah, some carnivores can be assholes about it. I frequent Reddit a lot and was a fan of two of their most popular Carnivore subs, but too many assholes and the moderators filtered everything. They didn’t humor ANY talk about the trials and tribulations of going Carnivore.
    So I created my own Subreddit called r/99Carnivore. It’s for anyone wanting to learn about Carnivore all the way up to that 99% Carnivore. Sometimes you just want to enjoy something off the menu, and as you stated George...that’s ok.
    It takes some getting used to, and we all struggle to break that addiction. I think that needs to be discussed, yet some carnivores want nothing to do with someone else’s struggles. I live to help others, not be a raging fuck head lunatic.
    Great as always, George!

    "Don't be a dick."
    Words to live by!👍🏻
    I like the flexibility that you allow yourself.
    I've been researching Keto, but haven't learned much about carnivore, although it seems pretty straightforward.
    I happened upon a video a few days ago and the woman touched briefly on carnivore and she said NO SALT.
    WTF? I love meat, but not without salt.
    I can't imagine! LOL

I can watch your videos over and over again and keep learning . I subscribed to become one of your students. I enjoy when you talk about carnivore I am getting back into it. Brilliant show today. You are absolutely right about the logos, values used to be instilled by family and church, but now they are instilled by television and social media. There is a concept I've been reading and thinking about called the normalization of deviance. It was coined as an engineering issue where small deviations that become normalized lead to disaster. I think this concept can explain the issues in society, small deviations from the logos projected over a long time leads to large societal changes.

    "Pursue the values of your grandfather." Excellent. I can only imagine my grandfather shaking his head in sorrow to learn of this latest societal craze of having drag queens (full make-up and dress) in public libraries (tax dollar funded) reading books to small children. What a sad segment on the nightly news last night...women bringing in their young children to partake in this. It floored me. :-(

      drop the protein and up the fat. if you eat like a lb of steak at one time, all of that protein is gonna go through gluconeogenesis. in other words, eating a bunch of protein will simply be metabolized as only as much protein as you need, and the rest might as well be a candy bar. so what youre experiencing is a sugar crash.

      Have you tested to see if you are making ketones? The keto "pee" strips are quick and cheap. It usually takes a couple of days after starting keto before they start to change color.
      Then it will take a couple weeks to start efficiently using the ketones and free fatty acids produced in ketosis. Until then, you will feel tired and dizzy. The gurus say to add salt to your diet. You can also make broth with a salty bouillon cube.

    • @lightninginmyhands4878

      Cody Thornton ok, this has some sense. Now I’m trying to see what sources would have this fat. Other kinds of meat or pair dairy products, like butter, with my meals?

    • @jselectronics8215
      @jselectronics8215 5 лет назад

      You will lose muscle if you don't get enough protein. That's what happened to me. I'm down 42 pounds, some of it was muscle.
      First, calculate your lean body mass: www.omnicalculator.com/health/lean-body-mass
      Mine shows 66kg.
      Good info here: blog.virtahealth.com/how-much-protein-on-keto/
      Ok, so 1.2g protein/kg of lean body mass minimum for me means 79g protein. How much meat do I have to eat to get that?
      For 80/20 ground beef: 4oz= 112g = 90g meat, 22g fat. But only 1/4 of the meat is useable protein = 22.5g per patty. Notice the fat grams and protein grams are equal.
      But, fat has 9 cal/g, so one patty gives about 200 calories from fat, 90 calories from protein.
      So, 66/22.4 = 3 four ounce hamburger patties a day, equals 600 calories from fat, 270 calories from protein. That's almost 900 calories. Not enough, so I have a small can of sardines, or a three egg cheese omelet, or whatever left over meat I have in the fridge.

    • @Cody-up6dt
      @Cody-up6dt 5 лет назад

      @@lightninginmyhands4878 butter is alright but its often but 99% chance that you don't have access to raw butter, which is like 1000x better than pasteurized. dairy is inferior to actual animal fat, which makes sense if you think about it. with that being said, the easiest way is to get flesh fat, which is much more nutrient dense even if youre not getting all organic blah blah grassfed blah, is ribeye; the absolute cheapest way, ive found, is to buy marrow bones. here I get like 1.5lb for 4$, which is a good deal to me. what you do is let it get to room temp and then push it through with your thumb, or cook it if you want - but Im too lazy to do that lol. or ask the butcher for fat trimmings, those are usually free - but for those without local butchers, marrow bones are usually sold in stores and its not too weird to ask for them if theyre not on the shelves.

    There is nothing wrong with eating meat however hunting and appreciating the life you consume is a proper conscience approach. Animals releasing stress hormones in slaughterhouse lines are a proven fact. Native Indians had it right. Take all you want but use all you take

      A game Animal killed by a hunter equipped with Flint tipped arrows takes minutes or hours to die.. Often found dead after being tracked for hours by the hunting party ..
