2022 Ruidoso Bike Trip

My friend Rick and I embarked on an exploratory mission of western New Mexico recently. Traversing the ever changing topography from the Sonoran Desert, the Tularosa Basin, the Sierra Blanca Mountains, The Valley Fires and the White Mountains of Arizona. We experienced the heat of the lower elevations and the cool breezes of in the high mountain air. Highlights of the ride included flooded roads near Mule Creek Pass, pecan groves near Las Cruces, the Valley of Fires Recreation Area, apple/blueberry/butterscotch pie in Pie Town, a one Subaru/one deer crash in the rain near Nutrioso and of course a couple Dairy Queens. We only covered 1100 miles but we had at LEAST 1100 smiles. Aa great trip.
