you can help with the digestion of raw meat by tenderizing the meat with the enzyme. pet manufacturer call them hydrolyzed protein you often see them on pet food packaging. use meat tenderizer(enzyme) prep the meat for 30minutes to an hour but no longer than that otherwise meat will become tasteless. if youre unable to get meat tenderizer(enzyme) you can buy papain tablet from local pharmacy it has similar effect.

Thank you for this video!! I think it’s great! What is your background in and is there a place where I can find the research sources that you use? I get this question a lot on my channel. Thanks!
With giant breed puppies, you need to feed them the proper amount so they grow slowly into their size. Rapid growth is bad in these breeds! Omega 3-s can be added to the meal from raw oily fish. Here's some more info on raw feeding puppies: tinyurl.com/y6bhpveh
What about cooked food? We used to boil chicken breast, or grind moose and cook it to make dog food since we are hunters (No spices, nothing added). We would mix these things with his kibble. Koda passed from cancer and our family wants to do everything different for our next dog. Which is why we are doing research.
You definitely can feed cooked meat (with nothing added) to your next dog, although it provides less nutrients. But if you’re feeding wild game, then sure. It is often not recommended to feed dogs raw wild game, unless it has been frozen at a very low temperature for around 3 weeks to a month, and not many people have a freezer that goes low enough. I hope this helped. :)
Question regarding portion size while mixing raw with kibble. Everything I've read indicates my dog should eat 3% of her total body weight raw daily or about cups of kibble daily. If I mix raw with kibble, how much of each should be giving her daily? Should I assume 1.5% of body weight for raw, and 1.5 cups of kibble daily?
For older dogs it's suggested to do a gradual switch because their system might be more sensitive. Heres a transition video if you're interested! ruclips.net/video/6vKC3H7WOcE/видео.html

In my opinion, full raw! But if feeding half and half is what works for you, go ahead. You do need to still make the meal balanced though when feeding 50% raw.
My question is mostly for the peanut gallery... Why mix raw and kibble when kibble is still the worst option to feed? IF I were to feed raw AND kibble (I don't mix them, I feed 100% raw for 3 Labs), I would provide kibble "free choice" for half the day, but my main, structured feeding would be 100% raw.
The experiment mentioning that the kibble entered the colon more quickly than the raw food - is this because there was little to no nutritional value to absorb so it got processed through the body more quickly? Hmmm. I think so.
Thank you so much for these videos. We recently researched raw feeding topic enough to safely transition to raw and our cat isn't really into slow transition, he was all paws for the raw after I found organs he actually likes :D But were a little worried about the feeding times as we go to work and can give raw only in the morning and after work. Usually with canned food we left some kibble during day so cat can crunch on it through the day, but there isn't much information about mixing kibble with raw, actually some people say you shouldn't mix it. We decided to listen to our vet and inner feeling and leave some high quality kibble for him through the day. And this video made me feel so much safer about our decision :) Vet also said that giving kibble can help fill the gaps if the cat doesn't get some vitamins though the raw feeding.
I'm so happy to hear your vet is working with you instead of totally against! If that makes you feel better and your cat is doing well, and not putting on weight from the kibble, go right ahead! I do want to say though, feeding in the morning and the evening is totally fine to do. If you are feeding your cat the recommended amount of food they need to sustain their current weight or goal weight, it doesn't really matter how that meal is split up. Your kitty wont be starving I promise! :p
Hi, thanks to you i am determined to switch my baby to raw! thank you! i have a question which i have not found an answer for. i did all calculations and made a diet for my dog. but when i counted inhave 120 g of protein for her! thats insanly a lit! i watched a video about water in meat. and for a 1k kcal its only 12% but isnt it much anyways?
ive had alot of questions about bacteria and should I feed my dog regular raw or should I buy organic for him? Im not sure I would greatly appreciate it!
I hope this video can help with some of that worry: ruclips.net/video/lC7UAzkM4Qg/видео.html you can buy regular human grade raw meat, but organic, grass fed and finished, and pasture raised will always be a bit better!
Hey ! Thank you for your videos, they really help me understand how to feed raw to my cats. It's full of information yet to the point. Can we mix raw and wet food ? I really want to feed wet to my cat but I am affraid I won't have the budget. But I could afford to give him a mix of wet and raw everyday. Thanks a lot for your insight.
@@mohammedashfaq5546 Hi ! Is your kitten on kibble right now ? If that's the case, then slowly introduice a bit of wet in a separate bowl before giving the kibble. Then slowly increase the amount of wet until he is ok eating 100% cane food. Once he is use to it, add a bit of muscle meat to the wet food. I started with chicken and tried different muscle meats first to see if he was intolerant to something - which is not the case. Then again, u can started making it half wet and half raw. Don't not forget to expose him to liver, organ meat, and bones. If you prefer, u can also add on top of the wet food some kind of raw meat (muscle meat, chicken wing, liver etc.) Now my kitten eats 80% raw and 20% wet food. It has surely improved his health and I think I will slowly give up the wet now. Good luck on your journey !
Oh wait J saw another video so I’m other words I start with white meat cold turkey watch the stool if everything is going well I start introducing like different proteins thanks for the help in the other video

Thanks for the vid! I was just wondering if I were to have a fully kibble based diet for my dog, could I still give it raw eggs in it's food and raw meat treats? Or will it mess with their stomach?
I know you're not depriving your animals in any way, but when you have clips of your animals approaching their food and cut away before they eat, I feel a little like I just had a food dream and woke up before getting to actually eat. XD

What kibble is the one you’re using?
Hi, thanks to you i am determined to switch my baby to raw! thank you! i have a question which i have not found an answer for. i did all calculations and made a diet for my dog. but when i counted inhave 120 g of protein for her! thats insanly a lit! i watched a video about water in meat. and for a 1k kcal its only 12% but isnt it much anyways?
ive had alot of questions about bacteria and should I feed my dog regular raw or should I buy organic for him? Im not sure I would greatly appreciate it!
I hope this video can help with some of that worry: ruclips.net/video/lC7UAzkM4Qg/видео.html you can buy regular human grade raw meat, but organic, grass fed and finished, and pasture raised will always be a bit better!
is it ok to mix kibble with boiled meat🤷♀️
Thank you! And absolutely wet food is preferred over dry anyway!
Hi fari and Primal Pack, I want to do the exact same as you, Im feeding my kitten wet but want to mix wet n raw, please let me know what to do
@@mohammedashfaq5546 Hi ! If you prefer, u can also add on top of the wet food some kind of raw meat (muscle meat, chicken wing, liver etc.)
Now my kitten eats 80% raw and 20% wet food. It has surely improved his health and I think I will slowly give up the wet now.
Good luck on your journey !
So how exactly do I transition, ( I have a mini schnauzer puppy) how did you transition Matsu?
Oh wait J saw another video so I’m other words I start with white meat cold turkey watch the stool if everything is going well I start introducing like different proteins thanks for the help in the other video
Thank you so much omg im so happy right now 🥺🥺🥺
No problem 😊
What brand of wet food do you recommend ?
She has mentioned Tiki Kat before.
So do you suggest kibble in the morning or night if I do separately?
If you want to feed kibble and raw together and want to split the feedings, it doesn't matter what you choose! You can do either/or in the morning/evening.
@@PawsofPrey I feed primal raw but I also want to switch my pup to raw meat too I just can’t figure out are the ones at markets safe?
@@christinak2840 if you live in the US, all raw meat that is sold for human consumption is safe to feed.
@@PawsofPrey thank you!
how many days a week should i feed my cat raw meal? does it need to be everyday?
If you’re on the raw diet yes it should be every day, that would be their food
@@karenorrala4333 can i change it to kibble again after some period of time?
@@daradinantiaddinnazar4692 at the End of the video she says you can switch it up, kibble in the morning and raw in the evening, just make sure you’re watching your dog and they aren’t having diarrhea
@@karenorrala4333 thank you so much karen🤍
Thanks for the vid! I was just wondering if I were to have a fully kibble based diet for my dog, could I still give it raw eggs in it's food and raw meat treats? Or will it mess with their stomach?
Introducing a new food can cause a bit of GI issues at first, so I'd introduce it slowly and in small amounts at first. Totally fine to do though!
@@PawsofPrey Oh okay, thank you!
Thank you so much for this! But what if the meat is boiled/cooked? Is it still dangerous? Again thank you so much 💖
Boiled meat is fine as long as it's unseasoned and not cooked bone. You need to substitute for bone by adding bone meal to the diet.
Hi! Do dogs' saliva contain amylase? :)
I know you're not depriving your animals in any way, but when you have clips of your animals approaching their food and cut away before they eat, I feel a little like I just had a food dream and woke up before getting to actually eat. XD
can you please please make a puppy recipe for a 8 week maltipoo shih tzu puppy
I'm working on a puppy video - hopefully will be finished soon!
