We have tried Spot and Tango unkibble and are now currently on Ollie half fresh half baked. While Spot and Tango isn’t as expensive it’s shipping and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. We're working with our new pup and Brandon's advise was just what I needed. Wish he'd just come and train for me haha but it's good for us and happy to have this new set of tools to use on our pup.
Miss Rachel, I feed my dog Origin, dry food, and “was“ made in Canada and then, for some reason they started manufacturing it in the United States in Kentucky. I have noticed, as well as other people have noticed that the cable is a different shape and a different color and the ingredients are not as good as the one that was made in Canada. Would that be the same for carna4? Better ingredients in Canada than the US?
What is your opinion on legumes causing Canine dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM)? That was the reason why I decided not to choose Open Farms for my dog (they have a lot legumes in their ingredients).
Yeah that’s also the reason why I decided to go with Orijen Amazing Grains as opposed to Open Farm with my pup. Would love to hear her opinion on this too.
that's the reason why i feed orijen amazing grains (when i feed kibble) as opposed to orijen grain free. i also feed open farm freeze dried raw instead of the kibble, because it's free of legumes

Hi Rachel, Thank you for the informational video… I was going to drive a hour to go get my 7 month old puppy the carna4 food but I’m seeing the carbs in this food are really high… I was wanting to know your thoughts on this? Thanks so much for your time 😊
Hi Rachel. Thank you so much for all your research and advocacy for our dogs. I have a Dalmatian and it’s really hard to find a real good, safe, well balanced kibble that will also be low purines. Most contain organ meats or byproducts or sardines that can lead to crystal formation. Any suggestions would so appreciate it!!I have even tried to make the low purine pup loaf in Dr Morgan’s book but it’s not practical for boarding or travel.
How about TLC? I was recommended TLC by my puppies breeder. I was leaning more towards open farm. Please let me know which of the 2 you would recommend. Thank you
I have a 5mo golden retriever. I have been feeding her Simple Food Project since she was 2mo. I have 2 concerns: 1. She is very skinny even though I am feeding her quite a bit more than they suggest 2. She is eating rocks and sticks. Could that be due to a nutritional deficiency or is she still really hungry and just eating anything she can find? What else can I feed her without breaking the bank?
If I’m giving my dogs a pit bull and a boxer who are 7 & 6 year old dogs blue buffalo can I just add goat milk to their kibble or should I look into changing their dog food
I have been wanting to try to get a way for the more processed kibble but I have been so nervous cause this is my first puppy and there is so much information and it is overwhelming. This video was so helpful and after doing some pricing and investing we are gonna try Spot and Tango and I can’t wait.
Orijen doesn’t add synthetics either . Also Canadian . Interesting because they say they don’t use extrusion in the same way other dog foods do and cook at low temps. The ingredients is whole meats. I’m feeding the large puppy kibble. They had to go beyond Canadian sourced meat though due to becoming a larger company . And there’s no synthetic vitamins . Only thing is they use lentils. That’s the only thing I’m still not totally keen on. Why don’t you like Origen ? I do want to add more balance to my pups diet. How can I get her to like berries? She spat out blueberries when I tried it. Turned up her nose at the piece of bell pepper I tried with her.

I also don't know if it's better to stay away from chickens in the food and if stay away from grains. Orijen Regional red is what I feed my dog during the warmer months and he seems healthy. Can someone point to why it's bad?? I can't afford more expensive options. Is there a brand of standard protein yet not super high in carbs that I can use during the winter months where our activity level drops a lot?
Orijen is fine, there is a lot of scaremongering because they have been bought by Mars. The truth is Mars has a lot of garbage dog food companies I think Orijen will be a niche for them and there is also a lot of awareness about good quality dog food so they know they will lose customers if they ruin the food. I don't believe Mars will compromise the quality of Orijen.

Thank you for the informational video… I was going to drive a hour to go get my 7 month old puppy the carna4 food but I’m seeing the carbs in this food are really high… I was wanting to know your thoughts on this? Thanks so much for your time 😊
Hi Rachel. Thank you so much for all your research and advocacy for our dogs. I have a Dalmatian and it’s really hard to find a real good, safe, well balanced kibble that will also be low purines. Most contain organ meats or byproducts or sardines that can lead to crystal formation. Any suggestions would so appreciate it!!I have even tried to make the low purine pup loaf in Dr Morgan’s book but it’s not practical for boarding or travel.
Rachel is Wild Earth food for dogs any good?
Thoughts on Go! Carnivore, made in Canada. Just saw it yesterday while looking for new food.
Please help me on your advise about lola hemp???drops for dogs..whats your thought 🤔
If I’m giving my dogs a pit bull and a boxer who are 7 & 6 year old dogs blue buffalo can I just add goat milk to their kibble or should I look into changing their dog food
What do you think of From Gold Ancient grains and TLC dog food found only on line the adult line ? Thanks you
I would love to hear a review on Dr. Harvey's and other natural foods beyond kibble, as well as subscription foods. I love your videos!
How is frohm and.badlands ranch?
I have been wanting to try to get a way for the more processed kibble but I have been so nervous cause this is my first puppy and there is so much information and it is overwhelming. This video was so helpful and after doing some pricing and investing we are gonna try Spot and Tango and I can’t wait.
Same lol I'm getting him on January 13
Whats the best food for frenchie’s?
I won't worry about peas and lentils, because orijen is 85% meat the peas and lentils is only approx12%.
@@lollybabe08 I now feed Canisource Grand Cru dehydrated beef with pork
@@JanineMKartist Glad u found something that worked for ur dog
Open farms, which one will be good for small dogs?
I love your content, I’ve been watching a lot lately. Is Carna 4 purchased by a big food manufacturer recently? Or was that another one that you had posted about a while back?
Are grains in or out now? Grain free or not? Seems like it always changes?
Hey, What happened to Sundays food for dogs ? Is it good?
Do you have an opinion on Ketona dog kibble?? Expensive but looks really healthy.
I am getting a fib goldendoodle standard size this week about 8 weeks from breeder, and breader telling that need to eat same food for 1 year. Breeder tell me to stick with purina chicken rice. Can i mix something good more good dog food than this? Mix it with wet food and down the road change it to better food?
Do Orijen still have heavy metals or not anymore?
Is it better to find food that has probiotics? Even after this video I'm still stuck which food is best to find for my havapoo.... :( my puppy 13 week old as of wensday 24th... I also don't know if it's better to stay away from chickens in the food and if stay away from grains. I feel like nobody is helping. :( I don't want to spend to too much and yet I want to make sure I have a good size that will last. Havapoos don't eat a lot. Im thinking if I shpuld go all stages or puppies specifically
Open farm link not working. Which ofvtheir higher protein kibbles ate you recommending?
Which brands are for senior dogs
what about Badlands Ranch?
I know I’m late to the party here, but any thoughts on Dr Marty’s? I just came across that one and it seems similar to Carna4 in its minimal ingredients and seemingly no synthetics.
On the Stella & Chew recommendation is the raw blend kibble coated included as well?
How do you feel about the grain inclusive honest kitchen kibble?
Have you ever did a review on old guard dog food???
Can l put Omega3 from humans to the kibbles
I thought Stella and chewy’s was freeze dried. Is that what they mean by high temperatures?
What’s your thoughts on while hearted brand?
What are your thoughts on Farmina kibble? Real Dog Box recommended that for kibble.
Hi! Can you do a review on Merricks raw coated kibble?
That's good dog food but i heard Purina bought them out. If your ever on a budget for dog food tractor supply has some good brands for decent prices
Rachel, my daughter and I each have a Frenchie puppy. They are 1 month apart. We share the large size bag. We have them both on Fromm grain free puppy kibble. They love it. Can you provide your thoughts on it. We will be looking at adult foods in the months ahead. We are very open to preparing their food. I also have a freeze dryer so I can make big batches, freeze dry it and reconstitute it with water or bone broth as needed. Please advise
Check out doctor Becker. I really like idea of freeze dried your own
great video - why no grains? My vet said that some dogs need grain, unless they have certain issues and that if you don't provide them some grain it can be detrimental to them and cause other issues. what is your opinion?
why are you even listening to this regarded woman? read about DCM and grain free dog food, the ingredients she likes so much on these foods will seriously mess up your dog
s heart
My 9yr old chihuahua loves unkibble but I’m i do add raw food and fruits and veggies but now I’m trying canva 4 found a store near me. I use to feed him Acana he also liked.
is the carna4 food still available the link in the description isnt working
I wondered if you may have any recommendations for a dry food that could replace urinary CD from Hill’s. My dog is 10 years old, paralyzed, and has a history of bladder infections due to us having to expressed her bladder for her. She is currently eating the urinary cd formula dry food that my vet recommended but I’m looking for alternatives. Do you have any recommendations?
I would not look how many food recalls. I would look at chewy/Amazon reviews and see what people are actually saying who is actually feed their pets this brand
If your dog got healthy nose, shiny soft fur, firm stool, and doesn't have any itching. Then the food is right
@@usa2342 okay thanks yeah he has seasonal allergies but otherwise is healthy. He had food allergies too probably so I just limit chicken. I found Stella&chewy food btw that I'm feeding for winter will less protein but still great ingredients (for the price). My pooch is healthy and has a great coat. Thanks again
@@tjjones-xj7kq you are welcome. Small breeds I noticed are very sensitive to chicken meat. They start itching and have hot spots.
I have a question. I am looking for a good quality, kibble for my small breed breeding dogs. I would love to feed them the ones you suggest I. This video, but I just do t have the budget to feed 7 dogs those brands at those prices. I am looking for a food to feed the adults when they are not pregnant, and also a high quality puppy food to feed them when they are pregnant and for their puppies to eat when they are weaned. I would love your suggestions and insight. Thanks
So u like open farms the best but number one is Stella right. I used Stella products before and they are pretty good idk why I stopped, what u suggest for a dogo with sensitive stomach and skin, God Bless
Do you have a video or could you do one talking about some of your least favorite and why? I’m a new dog owner and would love to learn more. I picked of that local to me and they seem really old school so I’m not sure I’m getting the information from them that I really want.
I know she said she doesn’t recommend Purina One or any of the similar brands.
We avoid kibbles containing certain ingredients like pea, lentils and grains which are linked to DCM in dogs.
