Love the stearingwheel job. In my opinion it's an overlooked refreshment of the car. I helped to polish my neighbours Subaru yesterday. I didn't have time to "go inside", but I did the stearingwheel and the gearliver. He was stunned about the amount of dirt that was lifted. I use an Italian product called Fenice (cleaner and balm).
I don't know what amazed me more - that someone can let their car get that bad or the transformation you did to it. Wow! Amazing turnaround Heather! I am sure you have heard or tried already, but I have found that Bilt Hamber's Glass Cleaner 'Trace-Less' is the best glass cleaner I have ever tried, it's incredible. Also, when I vacuum or use hard plastic attachments for cleaning the interior I find that putting a few socks on the tube stops scratching and saves you having to hold it away from the door shuts etc... Cheers, Graham.
I like your style. As a side note yesterday I applied Geyon Wet Coat for the first time using your wash mitt method. The result is amazing and the gloss wow. You sold me on this product Thanks. 🇨🇦👍👍
Crazy cool. Wow. I got a backache just watching you detail interior. One thing I've noticed on new or newer vehicles is that the carpeting is extremely cheap. I don't even know if it qualifies as carpeting. The super tight nap and weave is hard to work with. It's just more work on a tough job already. Ok. 2 pills for my sore back, and here's 2 for you. Thanks for video Heather.
I think you've taken over from my favourite detailer, Paul Dolden. Your videos are always full of content, and you show off some of the less well known brands Heather.
Not sure what's more impressive - the end result or the fact you cleaned the steering wheel boss without parping the horn half a dozen times and making yourself jump every time 👍.
Impressive results Heather 👏. The steamer appears a key item of Auto HQ when cleaning interiors that require a detailed clean. Have a great weekend 🍻 🙂
@AutoCareHQ Hi Heather, thanks for your reply, its a great product, maybe a one for santas list! ...... Benos Dias from the Sierra Nevada, Spain! Triathlon training 🇪🇸🥵🙂
I discovered this channel a few days ago and I'm glad I did. The quality of the videos, the shots are very good. I watch it constantly during my idle time and it inspires me with beautiful details. Love from Turkey.
Another brilliant job!😊 I remember that squelching sound of the squeegee on the mats very well from my valeting days. The drill brush attachments really do make a difference from hand scrubbing with a brush. Looking forward to seeing the next one Heather.
Great job, nice to see a normal car being cleaned than some of these 'disaster details' other RUclipsrs love. Roughly how long would that job have taken you? Think I'm going to have to get myself one of those steamers.
A very comprehensive clean giving a fantastic result. It is not my favourite job but now and again I am in the mood and try to rid my car of white Jack Russel dog hair and sand if we have been up North to our holiday getaway on the Moray-firth. We are not long back and I have started the process of cleaning the car. The outside is clean but I want to change my car wax so I will be doing a strip wash and chemical decontamination prior to pre wax cleaner and sealant and wax before I tackle the interior. I too am using the GT interior cleaner presently but finishing with Mitchell & King Treat I just wish it would stop raining.
Thanks! I've recently uploaded a vid on the second channel on Gyeon Can Coat which has quite a few tips for general coating application too: ruclips.net/video/InubU_iU9F8/видео.htmlsi=oyggpXg0D8goL8lg Here are some others too on this channel where I've applied coatings: - ruclips.net/video/sDKQBgQISHM/видео.htmlsi=zhKiGUqyHsKqxBfT - ruclips.net/video/eumC2XX_tQ4/видео.htmlsi=-1hC0T3p4dSr97aV - ruclips.net/video/RPXrbBBZ3Do/видео.htmlsi=jUV2Iyk9xv4U-gPJ
I don't know how people can let their cars get into that condition. Hopefully their houses aren't the same.😮 Something I think might be helpful to your 'mentees' is if you could give some idea how long each vehicle took to clean (excluding your time spent setting up and repositioning your video equipment)😊
I won it in a giveaway years ago from a company called 3d knockout. I may have something coming in the near future though that could be of interest, can’t say too much atm 😂
Thanks Steve, it’s a karcher sc3, I’ve popped a link in the description to the model. You can also sometimes get refurbished ones on the Karcher outlet
Snap! with the drill, good old Black & Decker. Finding it hard to squeeze and interior detail in to an hour/hour and a half. Any tips Heather? Or am I just being over ambitious
Thanks for watching! It depends on the condition to be honest. If it’s just a maintenance detail then an hour would be fine but if it needs a deep clean then I usually spend 3 hours minimum for a car like this
If you have a good compressor a tornador gun or similar could be a big time saver for carpets. One thing cheap i use is the turbo nozzle with vaccuum cleaner. Cleans mats very easy and faster.
Most snow foams shouldn't strip wax unless it's a really weak one in terms of durability. My favourite snow foam is Squid Ink Alkafroth which shouldn't strip protection (unless it's really weak). You could always go down the pH neutral route (Yum Foam/ Stjarnagloss Sno are good options), but just make sure it's removing enough dirt for the contact wash
Stumbled across your channel a little while ago, just getting into looking after my car properly! Thank you for all your excellent advice, already bought the IK Foamer and sprayer you suggested in another video, used them both today and found them really good!! Can I ask you when and why I would need to use a clay bar, have you done a video on this? My car sits in Dover docks so is subject to a lot of pollution, salt air, diesel fumes etc, and the seagulls are a nightmare!! Although it is only 2 years old, I’m sure the paintwork could be a bit more slick, is that the time I should be looking to clay? Sorry, bit off topic for this video, but would be grateful of your advice.
Heather what attachment do you use to be able to use crevice tool direct to the hoover hose ( basically getting rid of the metal attachment ) hope that makes sense
@@AutoCareHQ No on normal passenger dashboard plastic, where airbag is. Hyundai I30 2020. I used Karcher supplied brush and under certain angle it is seen. Ever since then i am using ordinary brush+vacuum to get rid of dust. Maybe it was me pushing too much, idk, if you work quickly its hard to tell.
I must commend you Heather on a job well done. That interior is rather grubby and why anyone would allow that to happen to their car is just baffling. I cringed when you squeegeed the water out of the mats (reminds me of fingernails down a black board).
Dunno about garage therapy, this is Heather therapy.. Relaxing watch. Nice one Heather top job as always 👍
Haha cheers Mark!
Genuinely love your content and the voice overs

Thanks for watching! I’ve heard really great things about Trace-Less but I’ve not tried it yet. Good tip too!
Excellent sock idea, definitely going to do that from here on 👍
Top class as always Heather 👌👌👌👌
Thanks Brian!
Great job, not just on the car but the production of your videos is excellent 👌🏻
Thank you very much I appreciate it!
Scrub pads are bloody brilliant, I have them on your recommendation and they're a game changer for interior cleaning.
Fantastic results
Heather! That was a very thoughrer interior clean.
Well done!👍
Thanks Michael!
Been waiting for a decent day to do my interior, problems of living in Scotland 😂 great job as usual!
The weather is bad here too atm haha, hopefully it clears up a bit! Thanks very much for watching :)
Great finish again Heather, could watch yr videos for hrs x
Thanks Rodney
Great video, love the extraction, thanks Heather 👍😁
Thanks Dave!

Thanks for watching Kim :) Yeah the carpet in a lot of cars is bad isn't it, feels more like Velcro sometimes!
Huge turnaround, Heather. 😎🔨🤘🏻 Nicely done.
Thanks Joe I appreciate it!
Great job Heather I'd be ashamed if my interior was that dirty
Cheers for watching!

Haha honestly done that loads of times tbf 😂
Good deep clean there Heather - glad I never let mine get that bad!

Great video Heather and what an outstanding interior clean you’ve done 😇😇😇
Thanks Simon!
Once again another fantastic and informative video Heather
Thanks Mark!
Hello Heather, brilliant video, what a great transformation on the interior on this Octavia.
Thanks very much Steven 😊

amazing job as usual. cant beat a spotless interior 👍
Thanks Tony. It always feels much nicer driving a fresh interior!
That was one dirty car done great job Heather ❤
Thanks Dave 😊
Love your work, always very informative. Keep up the good job
Thanks very much for watching!
You do an absolute amazing job 👏
Thank you!
The shiny steering wheel transformation was particularly good. Was that done with one hit Heather?
Yep just one hit, I thought I’d need more but the Geist cleaner is pretty capable

Another great video Heather. IK Mini 360 💕👍
Thank you! The IK Minis are really good

Looks like its a different car at the end,i assume its the same one🤭well done to you.

Nice work,
Thanks 😊
I thought the steering wheel was made from plastic it was so shiny!
Came up so good after one hit.
Yeah this one was super shiny!
@@AutoCareHQ I had to wear sunglasses 🕶
Did you use giest leather cleaner for the centre of the steering wheel too Heather? That came up really nice
Yep Geist on the steering wheel, it worked very well
Nice work Heather. What vac do you use for the water extraction?.
Thank you :) This is the Vax Spotwash (linked in the description btw)
@AutoCareHQ Ah, thanks. Probably should have checked there first. 😂
Where did you get the spray bottle rack/bar thing from? That looks good

Hello Caretakers. Now everything is nice and clean again, the new dirt has room to move in again ;-)
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Fantastic job Heather! Just out of curiosity, how long did it take you to do this clean?
Thank you! Without filming this would've been about 3 hours
@AutoCareHQ damn, that's a good time aswell! Props 👍🏻
Hello Heather, great video again, could you remind me which steamer kit you use please? I'm looking to get one.
Thanks Steve, it’s a karcher sc3, I’ve popped a link in the description to the model. You can also sometimes get refurbished ones on the Karcher outlet
Thanks Heather, I've found one in the outlet store and I'm going to order it!
Heather I got one from the outlet store (in white) and then got told off by the missus because apparently we really need a hoover for the house 😵💫
