Fred J Maybe because you assume that every white person has it easy when the word white privilege is used. An example of this is South Africa where there is a growing amount of poverty within some of the white community and while the black poverty rate still is greater than the white poverty rate there, therefore the problem contradicts the word 'white privilege' as some live in poverty. I certainly have not received this so called privilege and I live in the U.K. so unless this is a US only problem I don't see why people use the word to blame their misfortunes on something which does not exist.
If you could give me a valid example one of the privileges my race apparently has which has held you back in some way. then I will be happy to discuss it further.

I'm "liberal" and I also think people need to toughen up. This isn't an inherently conservative perspective. It's just that the divisive nature of politics in our country has abstracted both sides. "SJW" is not necessarily the same as "liberal" or "democrat." In fact SJWs often make attempts to censor speech, which is inherently not "liberal." People need to get new ideas about their belief systems and be open to the possibility that people exist on a political "spectrum" of sorts. Being a republican or democrat does not mean you need to subscribe to the abstractions pushed by news media.

As an independent who leans to the liberal side (especially on social issues) who has been dating a conservative for 3 years- yes they voted for Trump and I did not- I can say that both sides can get along. It takes a lot of patience and respect, and sometimes you just need to agree to disagree, but it can be done. You learn a lot and have more well-rounded views, and honestly, I think this country needs more respectful interaction between the sides right now- it wouldn't solve everything, but it would definitely help.

People part of the lgbtq community CAN seek help from people other than their immediate family. Plenty of caring families or people in general would gladly take in veterans. A small margin suffer because of their inability to perform, whether in war or social "rules".
Yes, other people have it worse; but that does not detract from those here that *are* suffering. Not everyone has the resources to reach out for help. Not everyone can - or even *would* - take in a "stray" veteran (because they aren't *animals*, they are *people*).

I honestly hate how people misuse these terms now-a-days. Now, in America at least, a conservative describes a Republican, while a Liberal describes a Democrat. However, back when Liberalism was just a small idea, essentially the whole world was Conservative. A Conservative is someone who seeks to preserve or conserve old traditions, for example: a Monarchist. A Liberal however, is someone who pushes for change and individual rights, for example: a Republican, as in someone pushing for a republic.
