Nice photos. I thought the fire photos were impressive, but I keep wondering what it would look like with a slower shutter speed. I'm mostly shooting digital at the moment - in fact, I just packed my Nikon D600 and a few lenses for a bicycle ride to Stige Ø just outside of Odense for some landscape photography mostly - I guess.
Yeah would be cool to shoot them again but maybe at 1/30th or something just to get that small amount of blur, always a fun technique. Sounds like a fun trip, enjoy!
Did you actually use a filter for the daylight photos ? Doesn’t look tungsten to me at all. And yes, I love ReflxLab too. Use there Pro 100 ( aerial film ) for the Frugal Film Project now and also the slide film, they offer, is quite affordable. Would love to see a review from you on that. Oh and another affordable 800 is the Candido one. Still have 5 rolls laying around, but haven’t used it yet. Wait for the winter with that, because then, almost everything happens at night here in Tokyo. Don’t need an 800 film for summer here.
I know it's only 200 iso, but I think you'll love Kodak gold at night at like, a fair, or any place with lots of lights. Also, I can't believe that fire act did not use any Rammstein songs! 😋
@@EclectachromeI'm assuming you meant trying Kodak Gold at night, but if you did mean doing pyro stuff with Rammstein playing then please make a video of that too! 😋
My take on this stock is simply that it's worth paying a couple bucks more for Cinestill 800. You can tell the quality control differences between the two are night/day.
@@Eclectachrome I've gotten light leaks more on Reflx canisters, which is something Cinestill also had an issue with at the beginning. Also the color appears to show up a lot cleaner IMO with Cinestill since a lot of people believe, myself included, that Cinestill gets the master roll from Kodak with the remjet already removed so it doesn't require whatever bath everyone else is soaking the film in prior to packaging. I suspect this is where the QC issues come from like dust/scratches and overall color shifts.
I hate to use the term, but these shots are 🔥! 😂 Excellent stuff!
🤣🤣🤣 thanks Alex! I appreciate your use of the term!

Just the pro mist! Could be how I scanned as well, the pro 100 looks interesting for sure!

I don't normally shoot 800 speed, but seeing your results I thought I'd try, but they're already sold out at Reflx.
Bummer! Hopefully they come back in stock soon!
@@Eclectachrome Yes, they were back in stock and I got a few rolls. Haven't tried them yet though.
I'm shooting with this film, I haven't developed the photos yet I hope they're good
Let me know your thoughts when you get then back!

Interesting! What kind of quality control issues have you noticed when shooting between the two?
