Benjen Stark, what an outstanding and complex character he was, I loved every moment he was on screen. I loved his relationship with Jon and it was so poetic that his last purpose was to save him. I was very moved by his last stand.
And now his watch is ended...

Game of Thrones German/Deutsch it works either way... sounds right both ways, but I guess it's 'is ended' because it's in the present, as in his watch is currently at an end
He dies in season 1
Game of Thrones German/Deutsch "ended" is past tense so you use "has" instead of "is" to follow through with the correct tense. The OP was correct.

I think it should belong more to Robb or Ned Stark since they were wolves when they died... Benjen was more a Crow or a fighter for the living
Michael Brown dunno cos Robb was the young wolf, Ned was probably to do something with honour, and Jon is the White wolf although he was in nights watch, plus when benjen died he wasn't serving the nights watch he was serving life

In the show Benjen might be their version of Coldhands but in books they're most likely completely different characters.

Phenomenal casting. And he acted it so well. He felt like he was a Stark. Exceptional actor and casting.

I think Benjen Stark knows all about Jon .. He was the kindest person towards him. He was an Honorable , Strong and brave man. he was always there in the right time for his family. He was the shield that guards the realms of men.
And NOW HIS WATCH HAS ENDED.
"Uncle Benjen" we heard it in his first scene and the last.
Benjen was Jon's only relative who was who Jon thought he was
"You would, if you knew what it meant". That was Benjen's reply to Jon when he said that he doesn't care about having a family. I think this shows Benjen knew of Jon's lineage what he'd be giving up if he took the black.

People seem to forget, it wasn't just the wights Jon would need to outrun. The Walkers have horses, and being that they don't breath or sleep or even eat. Those horses aren't getting tired during a chase.

"Uncle Benjen" part is so heartbreaking when Jon calls him
I feel like he knew about Jon. Who he was. Especially when he said "You can't father no children." And Jon says "I don't care about that."
Then he says "You might, if you knew what it meant."

He doesn’t exactly seem sentimental. I can only assume that he did know of Jon’s parentage and that’s why he was so willing to sacrifice himself to save Jon, because he realised that Jon is the heir to the Iron Throne.
I always thought Benjen meant that Jon doesn't realize he'd be swearing off sex and since he's a virgin he doesn't know what he's giving up.

I knew if you made a video about Benjen it would hit the emotional core. A character that didn't have a ton of screen time but was a fan favorite. He deserved better but I'm at least glad this tribute exists.

Youve done a better service to Benjen than D&D ever could. I'm not a fan of how hateful and picky people are being but it would have been nice to see more from him. At least more explanation for why he had to die.

I really liked Benjen in Season 1, he became me fav character really quickly and then he dissapeared for fricking 4 seasons, then he saved bran and dissapeared again and finally he died saving Jon. Really honourable man. He is an amazing character.
He's my favorite character, he worked out of sight, got no glory for himself, but insured the future as it should be ♥

Everyone keeps complaining how he died for nothing. He died for two reasons. One, I highly doubt he wanted to go on living as half dead half living and two, that horse wouldnt have made it very far running full spees through snow and ice with two full grown men. Ultimately though, I believe it is mostly the first reason, in my opinion.
He left legacy for the iron throne that is the biggest investment which cost his life... Be at peace, ranger. Your watch comes to an end...
