Melvin-Oliver Ejubovic nah Lil Skies is so generic and doesn’t have any mind-blowing music. He also makes stuff that are so hard to listen to. I’d much rather take a plate and a fork and scratch the fork on the plate and record it with a microphone, upload it to SoundCloud, and listen to it on repeat the whole day than listen to some of Lil Skies songs

I agree, he lacks originality but hes very consistent with the rnb/trap/pop vibe and will definitely find an audience with those who listen to breezy/brysontiller/yung pinch type thing. Nowadays and Lust are bangers.

It was actually a bland enjoyablness, kind of like Big Sean and G-Eazy... I guess you could call it generic or steril, but if you're someone who just comes in for the sound and not with the expectation of thought provoking/tearjerking/rebirth/start of a new era in genre, it is pretty listenable and enjoyable

You should look into lil skies story it's a pretty amazing one. Went through a very hard situation with his father being a burn victim involved in a workplace explosion while skies was growing up. His dad was a rap artist referred to as skies or big skies. Just trying to follow his fathers footsteps and make him proud.

Lil skies is one of the best new rappers in the game. Lil Skies doesn't fuck with the Mumble rap or the inaudible Auto crooning that creates a track lacking pure vocals. This debut album might have been safe and didn't take too many risks but every song is easily enjoyable
