    • @CobwebsandCandlesticks
      @CobwebsandCandlesticks  2 года назад +2

      Nope! It has to be an unreduced Urethane paint. You could use a metallic paint to get the mica effect though. The great thing is that you can paint over the bedliner to get any effect you want. Tinting the liner is a great way to get closest to your base color though.

    Did it work on the pink foam board? Does it make the surface harder? I'm thinking about making a boat out of that xps foam...but I need a way to seal it and make the surface impact resistant. Normally, people glass boats made out of xps foam, but I'm not good with fiberglass...a roll on bedliner sounds much easier.

    • @CobwebsandCandlesticks

  • @billxmas889
    @billxmas889 2 года назад +1

    Anything along this line ,
    Without a paint gun or compressor,
    Ok I did catch that you can paint or roll it on ,
    any precautions for going that route by hand for Ultimate results ,
    And would hand painting cause you to have less working time ?
    Also could resin be used or would solvents melt it down ?

    • @CobwebsandCandlesticks
      @CobwebsandCandlesticks  2 года назад +3

      Yep Bill, you can roll it or brush it on . I would probably do wide brush strokes then go back and stipple it. Once you add the hardener you gave about 20 minutes to get them coated how ever you choose. Resin would be too hot for thin bb foam but after it was linered I bet you could put resin on the tombstone. A really good basecoat or primer is they key to bedliner success. I hope this answers your questions. If not hit me up, I will get you answers brotha.

    • @CobwebsandCandlesticks
      @CobwebsandCandlesticks  Год назад +1

      If the foam is dense enough you could stand on them if they were laying down but probably not jump on them. Strength mostly depends on the foam. White bb foam is really soft. It would dent under the liner

    Nice, thank you... Did the bed liner eat into the uncoated purple foam at all and did it also have good adhesion?

    • @CobwebsandCandlesticks
      @CobwebsandCandlesticks  2 года назад +1

      It did eat the purple foam a little bit on the surface in a small areas. If I had went lighter coats it would have been fine. If you have a break,divit or scratch on the surface of your dense foam it seems to bite in a little more there. I would put down a coat of latex house paint or Zinsser primer first before lingering any foam. It has awesome adhesion! It's literally like spraying glue. After its fully cured in 5 to 7 days it's like armor.

    Do you need to start your video yelling?

      Nope, every video I start by yelling!! You gotta kick it off with bang and come outta the gates running. I just can't do a Bob Ross style.
