Mausoleum is looking great. Harrison is a kindergartener wow.The pepper jack o latern turned out great I'm so glad he wanted to show it , he is so fun. Great Titanic shirt. Great video
Little tip on the DryLok: Dab on the paint, not strokes. In addition to keeping that sandy texture, it adds more texture from the dabbing motion of the brush. That might help your issue with the rough patches
@@HollywoodHaunter Definitely LMK how it turns out, the Dry-Lok helps preserve that texture you get in the foam. Did it for my facade last year and had people wondering if it was real lol
Hey guys, back in about 2007, I reached out to the lead set guy for the Rocky Point Haunted House in Salt Lake City about what they used to hard coat their foam set pieces. Prior to their closing, they were the lead haunt in the country. Unbelievable stuff. Anyway, he said that he took latex paint, joint compound, and Elmer's glue and mixed them together. His ratios were, and I'm paraphrasing, "probably about 4:1 compound to paint, and glue until I liked it." The glue really gives it the hardness when combined with the other materials but I'm sure you would need many coats to get the hardness you're looking for. It's also much harder to sand with it. Fiberglass is great but as I'm sure you've experienced, it is very time consuming. It was interesting to hear such a simple solution being used on the incredible sets they created every year.
A couple years ago my friend had used orange construction paper the make pumpkin decorations for her wall. When the kids showed up for trick-or-treat, one of the first kids ask her why she had bell pepper's on her wall. They were some tall skinny pumpkins. Hahaha
Thank you for the update. Not sure if you two have already covered this in a previous video but what is the plan for the mausoleum once you've completed it, will it go on display at an event or convention?
Great build and video as usual. I tried the spay adhesive with 2 different brands but both ended up melting the foam, so that`s a no for me and here in Australia we don`t have border and wallpaper adhesive (the paste yes, but it`s not the same). 99.999% of Australian homes tent just to have painted walls, no wall paper, strange. I think it`s so they can spot giant huntsman spiders better on the walls. So, question, is their any reason why regular PVA glue wouldn`t work to stick the foil or any recommendations for anything else that may work?
I think that could work but I'd be nervous unless I did a few layers over the foam. I'm sure a watered down wood or papers glue could also work to attach the foil. Could always spring for epoxy resin instead.
@@HollywoodHaunter Hay, thanks guys for taking time out of your busy scheduled to reply. Just purchased some dunlop vinyl adhesive to see if that works, if not i`ll try your suggestions and take it from there. Thanks again.

Hi!!! The Drylock worked pretty good.

Hahaha! Awesome 🤣
It already looks so amazing, my son is starting kindergarten in 2 weeks so I can hopefully get some Halloween projects done
You guys should turn the bellpepper in to a t-shirt design and start sell merch. lol Can't believe Harrison's already in Kindergarten.
Love it
Synergy mite be a good cheap option for the morter look
Thanks! We will look into it.
You guys are awesome!
💥BOOM!!!💥™
Solid work as always! Great job, Docters!
The creepy bell pepper lol
That's one big 3D puzzle 🤣
LOL!
LOL jack -o - pepper :) i wanted to do some Mortar spraying what's a good hopper gun ? HFL!!
I use an older Wall Board metal hopper gun. Works great and easy to clean. I think they sell new ones at HD. Great to hear from ya.

Last video they said it was going to Winchester house
Yes we are building these items for the Winchester house in San Jose CA
Maybe add blue and yellow food coloring to the sour cream to make it look like the bell pepper o lantern is puking up green!
Great idea!
Love your videos guys. I have a couple projects you’ve definitely contributed to. Have you ever used smooth-on epsilon?
Yes we have here is a video where we used it if your intetested. ruclips.net/video/1xVpwe9RL-s/видео.html
We did have issues with it and fixed it in this one ruclips.net/video/mjEvNnv7yco/видео.html
I’ll check them out. Thanks!
You guys are too cute, all of you! Would it be too weird to say I want to be buried in your mausoleum?
Not to us 😆
