I'm from South Africa, knew there were beautiful places in our country, just did not know where. I'm getting itchy feet, especially now that I know SA is not that bad and there are some safe places. I would like to kit out a van and do this. Love the music you are using.
Thanks for taking us along on your little honeymoon trip (and even in 4K - please continue filming in 4K, it's just so much nicer).... Excited for episode two! I hope you're safe in this seemingly never ending chaotic times. And hopefully we'll soon be able to travel safely again, can't wait to be back in South Africa after all this chaos.
Thanks so much Ruwen :) And I will definitely continue to export my videos at 4K. Unfortunately my camera only records at 4K when shooting at 30fps, so the slow-mo remains FHD. Hopefully it won't be long until borders re-open!
I have made the point before but it is well worth repeating... Nicole I am very impressed with your abilities as a video story-teller, and they are improving all the time! As a photographer and videographer myself I can appreciate the difficulties and challenges in putting a coherent episode such as we have just watched... As a South African expat I cannot deny the emotional roller-coaster that I experience every time I watch your videos (and others doing interesting things in Southern Africa for that matter), yet I can still objectively analyze your product! And it is very impressive! All of it! Videography, themes of colour and tone and mood, editing, story-telling all come together in wonderful fashion where the technicalities disappear to be replaced by a glorious savoring of the sights, sounds, and vistas of your travels and destinations. We don't have smellovision, but actually your efforts are so good that I can smell the fynbos, thornveld, and wild animals as you go! I also get that Blair does function as cameraman on occasions! On the subject of Blair, your feelings for him are plain to see! May that buzz never subside... Congratulations again!
Oh wow, what an incredible comment to read :) Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this comment & for the boost of confidence with my videos online! It's a never-ending learning curve with editing, and sometimes I feel like I take 1 step forwards and 2 steps backwards, so I really appreciate the amazing feedback. Hopefully you'll be able to visit SA someday again soon and experience this all again for yourself :) And glad that I nailed 'smellovision', haha! Thanks again & see you in the next vlog!
How beautiful is this setting. A tiny gorgeous equipped title podhouse. I love it. I'm glad you and hubby have some aline time with the animals. Enjoy it all and look forward to the next blog. I wonder what was inside your dinner bag. 🤗🤗
Nicole, I really enjoyed this vlog. Even when I've seen you in vlogs from years and years ago, I was always inspired by your love for travel and nature rather than materialism... please carry on the vlogs... makes me want to travel more 🙂
Okay, I must ask, “What was for dinner & what was the dessert?” What a great option these small, private cabins offer. What animals did you see while you where overnighting at this cabin?
Haha, dinner was a lamb & vegetable stew followed by a South Africa favourite dessert called Malva pudding. It’s similar to a sticky toffee pudding in some ways ☺️ And animal-wise, there was a rhino & her calf, and we heard jackals calling during the night, but that was it :) Apparently when the pod houses were still unfenced, some other guests had a few Lion walk right past the door 🦁
Ahh, the old internet signal problem. Your countryman Elon Musk is solving that problem, look up, you may see a Starlink satellite. I have been binge watching your videos, (inside escaping the European heat) and find them fascinating. I have been to South Africa twice, Kruger several times, and in Cape Town I climbed up Platteklip Gorge to the top of Table Mountain. Good luck to you and Blair and keep the Safari and exploration videos coming.
Beautiful Vista's of the surrounding country, but I am not impressed with the pod house! The minute space albeit creatively done, reminds me of a solitary confinement jailcell, just dolled up. Fine for Europeans used to miniscule spaces, but for me South Africa represents the great outdoors with breathing space inside and out!

Thanks for sharing... but never saw the bathroom.
"so cozy" is the new term for cramped
Haha, it was very cosy inside :) Definitely wouldn't work as a full time house (for me anyway), but it's a great design!

10:12 Appletisers are the King of Beverages
Yeah? I don’t mind a Grapetiser every now and then, but my dad loves an appletizer.
Grapitiser exists? oh wow, I gotta order me some from the internets if it's a real thing!
@@dannydanny9875 Absolutely, Grapetizer one ups Appletizer in my opinion!
This is beautiful that cabin looked so comfortable.
It was decorated so well, and so awesome to see how they utilized the space efficiently!
Where can one buy that pod ?
Apart from the Wi-Fi in the cabinet 😂
