Oh I loved all the elly footage! I remember driving right past Addo on our way from Cradock to Grahamstown when Nayeli was 4 or 5 months old. We had been at my sister in laws family farm 40km out of Middleburg for two weeks with temperatures soaring in to the low 40’s and I was a first time mom, kicking myself because it had taken me a full week to figure out that my angel baby had turned into a screamer because she was so freaking thirsty and I needed to give her water, not just nurse her 🤦🏼♀️. I was so stressed by the time we were out of there that I didn’t let my husband detour in to Addo. I’ve regretted it ever since. Hopefully we can make a trip out there with the kids when we are back next year. They would loooove it!
We in South Africa 🇿🇦 aren't much used to snow; I am in my 60's and haven't seen this more than 4 or 5 times in my lifetime. The worst was in the early 1960's when we had snow three feet deep. We don't have winter tyres, snow chains or such, as snow may fall once in a decade or two.
Loved the B roll, would love to know that Pesto Pasta recipe, have made your chicken burgers with the pineapple and coleslaw and we absolutely love it😉🐾
Thanks Amanda & so happy to hear that you loved the burgers, they are blimmin' delicious, I must say! The pesto pasta recipe is super simple, I usually brown some onions & mushrooms in olive oil & fry up/roast some baby tomatoes (sometimes we add courgettes). Cook the pasta (either penne or fusilli). Once it's cooked, add basil pesto, salt, garlic, pepper, and break up mozzarella on top. You can also add chicken if you want some meat in there. Let me know how it goes :)
Stunning footage of the elephants. Also I loved the into of the music. Sounded like the theme song from lion king. Graaf reinet really does look lie a superb town to go visit. Love blog guys . I agree the tent situ was very cramped when I saw u set up.
Just absolutely fabulous B roll. They are magnificent animals the elephants and your film and photography skills are brilliant. Just leaves me to say Happy Christmas and Happy New year wishing you and Blair all the best for 2022. Look forward to new vlogs. Take care and be safe. x
Hi Nicole & Blair, I definitely liked this vlog. The town that stayed out would be a great place to visit with all colonial buildings. I particularly enjoyed seeing all the wildlife, especially the African Elephants at Addo Elephant Park. One day I'll have go to South Africa and visit all these places that I have seen in your videos. South Africa would be a great country to visit. You and Blair should visit HESC and HERD in South Africa in the Kruger National Park ( I think it's located Kapama Game Reserve). I recommend if you and Blair haven't been there yet is stay at Jabulani Lodge. What I have seen it would be a great place to stay for a couple of days or even a week. If I ever get to South Africa Jabulani Lodge is where I want to visit and go on day/night safaris. While at Jabulani I wanna visit HESC and HERD Elephant sanctuary. Another place would be the Kevin Richardson Foundation Lion Sanctuary in South Africa. Kevin has a RUclips channel called the Lion Whisperer. I love his channel as well HESC and HERD with Adine Roode. If you and Blair I would recommend Kakadu National Park near Darwin. Also on the east coast of Australia, particularly New South Wales there is quite a few surfing locations along the coast. Some places have over 10 feet waves. I knew you would like to hear about great surfing place, because you love your surfing. By the way Nicole you are a great surfer. If you and Blair come to South Australia there is alot great places to visit like the Barossa Valley ( Wine region), etc . I would love to your tour guide for free around the city of Adelaide and surrounding areas. Take care and have a great Xmas and New Year. Pete from Adelaide, South Australia. P.S. I'm a fan and love of your channel. Nicole and looking for to next vlog.
Absolutely loved this vlog, especially your B roll. Wish you and Blair a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year full of wonders and much prosperity for you both.
Love your videos, however did you really say the Big 7 included the great white and a humpback whale? How about the croc and hippo instead? Small thing but had to comment! Take care of yourselves!
I did indeed, the Great White & Southern Right Whale are officially considered as part of the Big 7 🐳 I guess they wanted some marine species in there but the Great White…surely they have a rightful claim to a spot in the Big 7?!
@@NicoleEddy1 Thanks for the info…I had the opportunity to go to Addo in 2018 and see some very close Ellie’s! Also went to some of the most beautiful sand dunes on the coast but don’t recall the name. Amazing views with the blue water and sand contrast. You certainly live in a beautiful country. Looking forward to your Namibia trip as I have been there on 4 different trips. Many good friends there. Take care!

Addo is stunning. We couldn't believe all the elephants we saw either - and they were so relaxed !
