    Tim Stamp Thanks so much for the unbelievably clear instructions. No mumbling, no sniffing, coughing, no ers or ums. Just plain language which even the most non-handy guy can understand.

    This is brilliant. Thank you so very much. My oven has been out of action for a good couple of years, being on a budget and calling an electrician wasn't high on my list. After watching this a couple of times, I bought the part and followed your clear guidance and I now have a fully functioning oven! It took me a few minutes as the wires were a bit tight. I'm quite proud of myself and now I have a lot of cooking to catch up on!!

    Thank you very much for the help, I managed to fix our oven. I had to remove the back plate, because the connecting cables were only accessible from the back, it was a bit scary at first, but than it turned out to be almost child's play. I switched off all three fuses before getting to fix it, and this is my advice, don't forget to cut the electricity before starting the fix! :)

    Thanks you. This video gave me every confidence that my suspicions were correct about what was wrong with my oven. Called your company and acquired the part for GBP 23.50 delivered. Took about 5 minutes to fit and we now have a fully functioning oven once more. You have saved me minimum GBP 50 for a callout plus part and to be honest I was one click away from ordering a new GBP 550 oven.
    Part was delivered in 3 days... spot on & thanks again.

    Thank you for this, one oven repaired. though you made it look really easy. Getting the 7 screws out took more blood, sweat and WD40 than I was expecting. But all done now and at a fraction of the cost of replacing the oven. Thank you

    I fitted my Zanussi element with this guide. Very helpful. I used coloured clothes pegs to identify the wiring. I also used a very bright reading light. The first time I did it, the oven did not work. When I checked the wiring had come loose and had disappeared down the back of the oven. I had to pull oven out and rethread wires back in through fleece. The bright light helped with this. When I checked it the second time - still did not seem to be working until I realised I needed to reset the oven clock. Success!!. Felt so pleased. I had a working oven for Christmas. BTW I was very vigilant about removing oven fuse socket from fuse box when I was working on oven.

    I cannot thank you enough for this. It was easy to order the right element for my oven from Ransom, the video made it very straightforward indeed to replace - even though I was a bit nervous about breaking the cooker. Getting the door off - and on again was probably the most fiddly bit, but not that difficult. It snaps into place. Oven is working great and I am delighted to have saved us quite a bit of money. Thanks again !

    Great video - very clear and comprehensive. Fortunately for me my oven is a very similar model to that shown and this video gave me the confidence to buy a new heating element (not from Ransom, unfortunately) and replace it myself. The potato waffle I used to test the oven afterwards tasted fantastic - it tasted of saving a fortune by doing it myself!

    Thanks for the video. For those whose have older ovens, be careful when removing the spade clips. It was not as easy for me and I did need some pliers. Be careful to pull at the spade clip and not the wiring. Also re-wiring in exactly the same way is important as the fan oven will not start if you dont. I re-cliped them wrong on my first attempt!

    I have a Firenzi oven that stopped heating and following this tutorial I was able to replace the element.
    It was much more fiddly & tricky than you made it look though! The screws holding the plate in and the element to the oven were 'torx' star-shaped heads rather than standard hex-shaped alan-key-shape which meant a trip to the local Maplin for a new tool.
    Thanks again - v. grateful :)

    Oh, thanks for this, life saver;-) The hint how to remove the window is just priceless:-) I have a Mora 2300 type (purchased in Hungary) but is works almost the same as the oven in your video. Only difference is that I need to remove the back, because the heat element is secured with nuts only...

  • @bessonbach
    @bessonbach 6 лет назад +1

    TIP... When you remove the old element and reveal the wires, bung a cork or similar into the hole(s). I hit upon this idea after one of the wires disappeared into the back of the oven after detaching and it was a pain to recover it. This will hold the wires in place for you to attach to the new element.
