Thanks for this. Based on the writing on the element it effectively goes in upside down on my Stoves DF600. Took me about an hour.

since mine is bent quite badly from heating and lack of support I will see if I can bend it back into shape and maybe add some support since it still works but I assume it will happen again. Update I straightened the element by using a copper water pipe braced against the floor of the oven and pressing hard against the element, the rest of the element acted as a spring so when I turned the oven on and it heated up to red hot it gradually bent the metal back into shape.

Hello, you will need to remove the back panel of the oven to access the screws of the grill element. The part number for the grill element is 12570021. Please reach out to our team on 1800 005 220 or email us at spares@statewideapp.com.au and we are more than happy to assist. Thanks, Mary.

If your rectangle clips fit through the small round holes this will work.😢

Johnny you may need to reach out to a qualified technician to assist with troubleshooting and repairing your oven as there could be another issue.

I’ve turned it on it’s working but it’s smoking a bit is that because it’s new?

Unfortunately, my Smeg (built in) oven element isn't held in by screws/bolts. There's just two smooth round headed fasteners.
    Now what?

Will be bolted into place, only way to remove will be via the back and possibly removing the back panel. Take a photo so you know which spade connectors go where.
