Just wanted to say a big thank you for posting this video. I have just replaced our grill element following your instructions. It might be worth informing people that when a new element is switched on for the first time there will likely be a sort of burning/smoke smell as the factory coating is burned off. The other good news is you have saved me a small fortune - a local firm said they would do the job for me - but it would cost well over £90!!
Looks to me like this could be done without needing access to the back? Those wires had some play on them so could be pulled into the interior oven and removed there?
Hi I’ve just replaced my grille element and it is still not working everything is installed correctly what else could be the problem is there an independent fuse for the grille that might of possibly blown ? Thanks in advance

Fitted a new grill element on our hotpoint oven which works fine until we put the rear back panel back on then stops.
