- A very random question with the best answer that I can possibly give. Are you smart enough to work in I.T.? Sometimes I ask myself if I am dumb enough to work in I.T. That's right! Just kidding.
Check out this video if you are wondering the answer to this very question.

I've hired people with zero computer knowledge or skills and molded them into IT professionals. I just need someone who's actually willing to learn and has good communication skills.
"Being smart and being dumb is something that's really just all in your head"
The question they should be asking themselves is " am I disciplined enough to work in IT"
studying for my A+ certification. Hopefully by the end of summer I'll have it.
You just need to be smart enough to be considered qualified. That means you'll probably need to show more of a willingness to adapt and learn more than anything.
I just want to say thank you man. I just turned 30 and I thought I wanted to do nursing . Until I realized I’m good with computers and technology. This really saved my life starting my IT journey in 30 days
no, you just need to be smart enough to get hired for I.T.
The fact that you don't need to be smart to work in IT can present challenges within the industry. If you want to be an electrician, you usually need 3-4 years training and be smart enough to pass multiple theory & practical tests, yet in contrast it is possible to enter the IT industry with no formal training, qualifications or experience. Because of this, good communication is key because you will be dealing with all sorts of people, from muppets to geniuses.
If you simply believe you can do it, you'll be fine.
The higher the iq the, the more complicated jobs you will be able to do in any field. When people ask if you are good at math, what they really mean is are you able to solve problems because that’s what math is.
Yes i dont need to be good at math thats all i want to hear
Thanks a lot man! You really made me think that I am going to study IT because I love technology but I'm not really good at math but you inspired me to take this course 😁 I really appreciate it man! 👍 You deserve a lots of subscribers🙌
thank you so much! it helped me alot. im 17 yrs old and a senior high. pursuing to take IT in college. i hope i will love it!
Thank you ! I feel so much better . I have no experience, but always interested in technology and how it will adapt into the future.
Your videos have a lot of encouraging pep talks. Thanks.
Good video Zak! I'd say working in I.T. is about having a keen interest in technology. It involves plenty of study and hard work! A willingness to learn and keep learning new skills is essential and to keep building and developing those skills. The good thing about I.T. is that there are plenty of different career paths to follow.
The are so many different types of intelligence it's really hard to answer whether or not someone needs to be smart. Most people think of academics when intelligence or smarts is talked about but a good balance is probably preferred, a good all-rounder. Someone might be academically smart and know everything, but have terrible social skills while others might be great with customers and teaching others but might not know everything. The most important thing is their willingness to learn. Everyone starts out knowing nothing but learn as they go, some clearly more dedicated to it than others. IT is also a really broad field. Most people in IT aren't going to know everything beyond their specific area
bro thanks so much this video just gave me confidence and was eye opening on the subject 👍🏻
Thank you so much for this video. I really needed this today.
