Seeing Sara Watkins singing with The Decemberists just makes me love her even more. And vise versa.
she loves you even more when she sings with The Decemberists?
8 years later, the almighty algo has united us. Came here to say the same thing.
I'm just sad she's standing so far off in the back, but I think it's just the angle.
@@rafaelmartinvannostrand2084 Hey, you never know.
Decembrists and Death Cab made this metalhead an acoustic folkie. Such original cool songs. Millionaire by Slaid Cleaves is another cool jam.
Just fell in love with Sarah Watkins all over again...
You feel it like a an immersive shock wave when it is good....Classic and timeless
Love this album. Bought it when it first came out. Class piece of work. They are wonderful songwriter's. Their harmonies are to die for. First class musicianship. Thanks for This Wonderful Upload. Regards Frank
How am I **JUST NOW** discovering this band?!?!?! You guys are AMAZING!
Oh you have so much joy ahead of you!
In the year of the chewable Ambien tab.
w0mbles year of the cat.........err tiger but forgot what I was going for there...or my interpretation of the lyrics I was programmed with....but yeah year of the tiger.......aslo had something to do with meds and how there distrubted...but the Mayan calendar and it being so close close enough to predict turmoil other Faith's might have...endolusian fuck how did I spell it that ment something to trigger a thought line to.....but I rather kinda they left at least the safe haven save heaven crap as it was stuff to research when more internet content arouse...looked up Buffalo migration once but wanted to know how much it effected the spreading eco systems pushed it back and weather patterns over time.....also weird hi lo and what I could produce to create a near static area........also the off chance they make a nice place for me.
With all the alone in a trailer kinda reminded the part that used to be dormant thinking about all the goings on....
I had to listen to that twice to see if that's what i really heard LOL
This is a reference to David Foster Wallace's infinite Jest, where the year numbers have been replaced with marketing. IE:
Year of the Whopper
Year of the Tucks Medicated Pad
Year of the Trial-Size Dove Bar
Year of the Perdue Wonderchicken
Year of the Whisper-Quiet Maytag Dishmaster
Year of the Yushityu 2007 Mimetic-Resolution-Cartridge-View-Motherboard-Easy-To-Install-Upgrade For Infernatron/InterLace TP Systems For Home, Office Or Mobile (sic)
Year of Dairy Products from the American Heartland
Year of the Depend Adult Undergarment
Year of Glad
TEAM JENNY FOREVER!!!! ♥♥♥ We will always be your supporters!!!!
My gawd, MUSICIANSHIP! About freeking time! Thank you, Decemberists!
This is undislikable
Reckoning and Murmur rolled into one
Peter Buck played guitar on this song on the album
@@davidspencer126 The acoustic guitar part certainly sounds a LOT like "Talk About the Passion". Ironically that's not the part Peter played on this.
The Decembrists are cousins of REM and they keep the REM sound going but in their own eclectic style
On this album; generally not so. Peter Buck lent a strong hand on The King is Dead.
@@3genac this song sounds like it was a B-side from Reckoning 100% with some layers on top
You guys still owe me $80 from when your shit was stolen in Austin back in 2000-ish and a bunch of us from out of town donated money to get you guys back your gear. (Obviously kidding that I care about the money, we're all adults now lol). Very fun watching you! And good memories.
I saw them twice this year. They are the best band around as far as I am concerned. Sad they are on a long hiatus :-(
It's over, they're on tour now
They’ve been in the studio since February of 2023 - as far as I’m concerned
All that remains are the arms of the angels.....Hope so.
What a band
And the lovely Sara Watkins in the back!!!
@poocoop Well, official histories claim it was during the War of 1812, right after the Skirmish of Battle Creek where a division of rabid bulbasaurs was defeated by George Washington's less renown younger brother Christopher J. Washington, who -by the way- miraculously lived to the age of 176 when he was shot in a duel over obscure matters involving snails, some very comfy crochet hats and renegade privateering in the waters of North Carolina.
*Listens to song*
Yay! Nebraska got mentioned! Oh, wait... we're screwed...
Laughing at that Zombie audience. Did they pass out chewable Ambien tabs before the show??
It's Austin so probably something else.
We love you Jenny.
So hurricane Irma.........I'm having mass dejavu here
awesome.
Is that Sara Watkins doing backup?
It certainly is the lovely Sara Watkins.
I love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
So it goes...
Well, they said this was their REM album so...
My old ass: "Oh neat, this video looks relatively recent" proceed to jam out for a sec and then check the upload date...
Colin with beard? I saw everything.
If any of these artist spent extra money on security.against me I would consider that a win a little...a conversation thru a fan like in happy Gilmore slightly cheaper for all in time energy and what not.....
I can't tell what chris funk is playing...
Aaron, Chris is playing a very rare Vox electric hollow body 12 string. As of 12-8-14 there are 3 on eBay from $1,900 to $2,800.
Gotta want it buddy!
war of the enzymes?
Downhill Phil war of the end times
Holy shit when this first came out I made a joke to my dad about that. I thought I was the only one who heard that
Quite an attractive blond haired woman playing in that band
Didn’t realise Zach Galifianakis was so talented
Twee, but very cool.
When did Zach Galifinakis join the Decemberists?
he looks like gordon ryan a bit here
Colin looks more like Jim Miller IMO great song though.
Sara Watkins.... sigh...
Live version is better.
What s weird and unfitting combination between hairstyle and glasses
So it goes....
