Really, rifle suppressors don’t need to be cleaned because the pressure of the rounds push out almost all of the carbon and fouling. A little bit of material in your suppressor will cause extra turbulence and actually make it quieter. If you notice with a scale that your suppressor is a few ounces heavier than when you got it, and that could be after thousands of rounds, there are some special solutions you can use. Breakthrough Clean Technology Suppressor Cleaner and HUXWRX Suppressor Sauce are two that I’ve heard of. They are both two-part solutions that you let your suppressor soak in. I wouldn’t use an ultrasonic cleaner, just these methods I spoke of because an ultrasonic cleaner will ruin the finish on the outside of your suppressor maybe not the first time, but definitely after two or three times.
I’ve never cleaned any of my rifle suppressors, but I did clean my Octane 9 suppressor because I ran a bunch of 22LR through it. I also have to clean my MP5SD suppressor with it’s aluminum K baffles so the don’t get stuck in the tube and the suppressor doesn’t get stuck on the gun. I use welding anti spatter spray for it and try to do it every 300-500 rounds. 22 suppressors are the filthiest with its leaded ammo that’s sometimes waxed plus the carbon deposits.

I love their ACSS bdc reticles and it started with the SLx 4-14x44 acss hud dmr and I still have one on my PTR91. I even sent it back for warranty years ago because my groups opened up a couple feet. I think I actually crushed the tube by overtightening the scope rings. They were good to cover that. I forget if they paid both ways or I might’ve had to pay one.
@@musek5048 I just looked at their website and it is covered by a lifetime warranty :)
@@RangeToyz thanks for that info, so would you say the difference between the two as far as clarity, turret tracking, and overall quality go is worth the extra $150 to get the venom? I don't like that the venom doesn't offer illumination but it wouldn't matter if the its not bright enough for daylight use.
Great vid man, this is the second time in a row you've helped me on picking a can. Was the backorder time long for the omega 300?
@@jristight I got this Omega 300 about 10 years ago. I forget how long the wait was without my NFA folder next to me. I just got notification that my BOGO Omega 300 was ready to Docusign, so hopefully it’ll be ready to certify soon. That BOGO backorder was a year and two months! I saw other Omega 300s shipping to Capitol Armory and other places while I was waiting for mine, so SilencerCo is cranking them out for the demand still. Ordering as soon as possible is the best way to do it.
@@RangeToyz Thank you again for the sound advice! I'm gonna place my order soon!
can it be cleaned at home?
You just about lost your ring on the first shots with out the suppressors on! I was waiting to see it fall off, lol! Glad it didnt!
Good eye! That 90 degree shoulder that comes with it is pretty snug from the factory, but recoil will break it loose lol
Mine was also 3 days
@@ErinOlin that’s awesome! Now the long waits are the back orders. I’m many months out on a Dead Air Mask right now.
You only had to wait 3 days? After almost 3 months and complaining to my Attorney General after the SCOTUS Chevron decision, I got mine out of jail a week later
Day 252 waiting for mine😂😂 but since they aren't going to be making the 300 anymore im glad I got one on the bogo deal
Right on! I’ve got a pending BOGO 300 that still hasn’t shipped to my dealer either. I’m probably the last one in line because my FFL had to resubmit their paperwork because it expired during the processing.
@RangeToyz totally up to you lol but what are your first 3 numbers for the bogo because I feel like im in last place lol. I'm in the 141 batch and I think they forgot about me 🤣
@@fnjay24 140 actually. So you’re saying, I might get mine quicker than you? Doesn’t help us that they had to recall some for bad welds and they’re still producing Omega 300’s for the normal marketplace. I know they’re working hard to produce them though and glad they’re being transparent.
@RangeToyz last time I'll bug you but yup you'll get yours way before me. I couldn't agree more like I get it theynhave a business to run but send the bogo out first then send to shops. Please post when you get at your dealer 🙏🏼
@@fnjay24 will do and god speed 😂
The scythe is 1.73” wide, not 1.37
@@tylerschneible584 good catch! I was reading off of my notes and had a dyslexia moment lol I know it’s wider than standard 1.5” cans. Hope other people caught this too.
@ easy mistake to make. I was looking at my scythe and my Omega like “no way that’s true” 😂
I wish i was blessed by the NFA approval rush, but alas i have 4 cans in nfa jail at the moment... although 2 of them are at a local dealer with range.
How long have you been waiting?
@mikes8915 only since November. But cans I've bought in the past have taken 11 months.
@@scottdpugnificent yea the one b4 my last took 9 months.. good luck hope you get ur stamps real soon
this comment is before i watched the whole video but you said.... you picked it up AFTER a long 3 DAY WAIT???? wut?
@@C.GW.H yes sir! All in all it was probably about a month and a half. I back ordered it, then it had to ship from Silencershop to my dealer after the Form 3 got approved, then it only took three days for my dealers shop to Form 4 it to me :) NFA transfers are quicker than they’ve ever been and demand is why they’re taking so long now. They used to take 6 to 9 months on average and sometimes even over a year for a Form 4 approval.
2 months, and I still cant get mine outta jail. What the hell… and mine was in stock…
@ did you get the submitted email from the ATF? Also, was it a trust because those were taking longer back than as well. Having a unique name helps speed up the Form 4 even. Squeaky clean background checks is how Capitol Armory describes the fastest turnarounds.
@ Got the email, it was for an eForm, clean back ground, and a relatively unique name. Its ridiculous, should be an over the counter transaction.
@@Asul5181 wishing the best for you. Paper forms used to be stacked in boxes and I always wondered when they took over 3 months ten years ago, then 6 or 9 months more recently depending on demand before eforms took off. I just waited a year and two months for my BOGO Omega 300, but finally got it. Always as an individual.
If I would’ve just listen and not watch it I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference
@@RandomGuy-nh2qc the difference is that small between the two. You can see the decibel numbers on SilencerCo’s website.
@@RangeToyz I just certified my paperwork for the scythe a few days ago I hope it come back quick
@@RandomGuy-nh2qc right on! You won’t be disappointed. Did you get the Silencershop exclusive black one? Kind of wish I waited.
